  1. Hi, Technically, your graphics might have capabilities to run ArmA, but this chipset is said to be noticeably slower than competing IGP solutions like ATI HD3200, I wouldn't buy the game. I you want to see how bad can it be, try ArmA demo first (be sure to set details to the lowerst possible). :butbut:

    Arma install issue

Just a quick guess: Do you have enough of free space on drive C:? Installation Wizards copy some content there during installation. Check if you have write permission into target folder - after reinstalling Windows, your user is given a unique ID which will be different from the old one. Check NTFS permission. If you see in the list of permission something like this: S-1-5-32-... it's old user's ID.

    Poor FPS Help Plz!

I am quite sure that you're HD 3400 graphics uses shared system memory which is another bottleneck besides low amount of stream processors. Make sure to disable anti-aliasing and shadows, it may help a lot. (Yes, given your resolution it will be ugly). The Radeon HD4870 is way different story. With such a beast, I am pretty sure the owner of this has not even lowered details and has his 22" display running native resolution. Well, ArmA does not scale with GPU power as well as some other games do due to uncommon engine, but you know what? ArmA is not common game... Which is good.

    display error

Dear Clarky, I am afraid not only your integrated 9200SE graphics isn't powerfull enough for running ArmA even in 800x600, but first and foremost it is old generation 8.1 DirectX hardware which doesn't meet minimum requirements. ArmA minimum requirements is a DirectX 9.0 generation hardware (with Pixel Shader 2.0 which disqualifies most if not all intel graphics) - Nvidia GeForce 5200 FX and ATI Radeon 9500 would be the least powerfull solutions in this category. Note that ArmA is demanding of GPU performance and even modern well done integrated solutions may not offer adequate framerates or resolution. I am speaking of personal experience playing on AMD Radeon 3200 HD integrated graphics myself (800x600 is the best playable). Hope that helps.
  5. Cheers, I have installed my linux dedicated server, but I must admit defeat with running it. I can run the server and it comes online. Then I connect to it and select map ( I picked smallest I could see - Nobody Nowhere ). After selecting map, the very last output is Reading mission (disregard last message, it was me joining and disconnecting from the server): arma$ ./server -port 2032 -pid /usr/local/games/arma/armaserver.pid -config /usr/local/games/arma/server.cfg -name "Tuzoks dedicated server" -netlog Item STR_03s01 listed twice Updating base class ->Default, by ca\anims\characters\config.bin/CfgMovesBasic/DefaultDie/ Updating base class ->Default, by ca\anims\characters\config.bin/CfgMovesMaleSdr/States/Crew/ 22:22:57 Dedicated host created. 22:22:58 Host identity created. Dedicated server on my windows machine started within seconds. If anyone had any suggestions what may have caused this issue, I'd appreciate any help. P.S. Did you know that pressing ctrl-C will crash the server? P.P.S. Operating system: Debian GNU/Linux 4.0 Etch (glibc-2.3.6)
