thank you very much, fixed the problem. i was searching for a ini file, so i skipped the cfg.

well when i start up the game i get a black screen while i can hear the menu music. i have a Nvidia GTS 250 with 190.38 driver version. it look to me that like the game tries to use a resolution or frame rate that is not compatible with my monitor. the max resolution on my screen is 1280x960 at 60 hertz. maybe it tries to run it at 1280x1024... who knows. does anybody know how to fix this?
