    Make a new patch

yes, I agree. I would like to see a "favorite" tab on the server to avoid having to search for my favorite server each session.
  2. Eventually, I will be interested in joining a clan for formal games. But, currently, due to time restraints, I am usually surf the net for non-kiddy servers also.
  3. My computer has the enough power to show grass and maximum distance, however, full grass would give me a disadvantage over someone that is playing without grass. It would make it harder for me to spot someone hiding in the brushes and they would be able to see me easily.:bounce3:
  4. :yay:I would like to start off by commending the ArmA II developers for a very realistic combat simulator. Even though I am a big fan of FPS games, I have never played the ArmA series before now. I must say that I love this game. I feel you guys have raised the bar with PC combat simulators – well done! I’ve been playing it non-stop over the past several weeks. I typically play exclusively on the multiplayer maps, except for basic training and editor training. Even though I love this game, I have a few patch suggestions below that I hope you except as constructive feedback. Stability: I have a strong PC (duel core, vista, Nividia GTS 250, 4 GB ram, 500 GB hard-drive etc). Even with these strong specs, I often experience multiple instability issues where I get stuck between solid surfaces and server crashes. I also notice the AI getting stuck in the ground and acting erratically (choppy, stutters etc). Boarding Vehicles: I have experienced problems boarding vehicles. I often have to move and reposition myself outside the vehicle numerous times before the interactive menu appears that allows me to enter the vehicle. Vehicle occupants: If I’m riding in a vehicle, I would like the ability to know who is riding in the vehicle with me. I noticed that some of the servers (like Berzerk) provide a list of riders in the upper left corner of the screen, but this information isn’t consistent with all servers. I would like for the name of riders to be available. Favorites Folder: I would like to have the ability to add my “favorite†multiplayer servers to a folder for easy reference. Aircraft Countermeasures: I would like to have flares and chaffs available for aircraft. Currently, the aircraft are sitting ducks for Air to Air or Ground to Air missiles. Switch Weapons: I would like to be able to switch weapons while running. Currently, if you are running, the character will stop in order to switch weapons. Statistics: I would like for the players statistics to follow their career (number of kills, deaths, wins, losses etc.). Vote Interface: Please add an interface to kick, band, vote etc. Without this option, team killers can be frustrating and wreak havoc at the spawn, spoiling the gaming experience for others. I’ve experienced this activity. Editor: During the “editor†section, I’ve tried to place several different types of aircraft on the runway in Chernarus so that I could train. However, after clicking on “preview†to enter the scenario, the aircraft were not located on the runway, but deep inside the forest. Robotic Voices: This next issue is not a glitch, but more of a request. The AI voices provide good information/intelligence; however, they sound really robotic. In future patches, it would be great if you could make the verbal AI communication more fluent. Server Goals: This following issue is major, because I’ve seen other users voice the same concern. I love how each server has the freedom to create their own game. I like that concept and feel this is challenging and unique because there are some very creative servers out there. However, there is a downside; some servers are so creative that it isn't readily understandable what the goal is. It's frustrating when you enter a server, but have to leave because there are no instructions (or admin on duty) to provide instructions on what it takes to win. Please make it mandatory for the server developers/administrators to provide detailed instructions on what is required to win a match. :bounce3:I want to strongly reiterate, I hope you guys don’t get the wrong impression. Even though I listed several bullet points for suggestions above, I truly love this game. I feel it's second to none in the combat simulator category. The suggestions are only intended to enhance the game play - Keep up the good work developers!!:bounce3:

    Ban A Player

Currently, I am not aware of a voting system for ArmA II. I would like to suggest that all players (not just admins) have the ability to vote on a player. There are plenty of sessions that I have played where the admin is absent, but some jerk is in the game team killing. There should be an interface added to allow vote kicking. Admins should have the additional functionally to band if they choose to do that.

    New, intence maps/missions

I agree with Korjax, Berzerk is a good multiplayer map to begin your ArmA II career on. Once you become familar with Berzerk, the other maps will be more understandable. Also, it's important to keep in mind that ArmA is a real world simulator. In the real world, you have to work as a team - if you don't, you DIE. You have to have pilot's that make frequent trips to pick-up and drop-off troops. Your LZ (loading zone) will typically be miles away from your combat area in order to prevent the chopper from being destroyed by missiles or small arms fire. The concept of the game makes since when you think of it in that respect, right?

    Ban A Player

This process should not be this complicated. Please add an interface to kick, band, vote etc. Without this option, team killers can be frustrating and wreak havoc on the battlefield, spoiling the gaming experience for others. It shouldn't be too complicated to create an interface, right?

    Multiplayer rant/suggestions

ArmA II is a combat simulator based on real world tactics and strategies. This is not HALO or Call of Duty. Eventhough the like are fun games, they are not "combat simulators". In the real world, you have to work as a team - if you don't, you DIE. That is the concept of ArmA II. You have to have pilot's that make frequent trips to pick-up and drop-off troops. Your LZ (loading zone) will typically be miles away from your combat area - this will prevent the chopper from being destroyed by missiles or small arms fire. ArmA is not for everyone, and if you are only interested in kiddy games that are not realistic, you should play a game like HALO etc. and leave ArmA II for the real men to master. War is Hell!

    Berzerk Sobor

I think that Berzerk Sobor is a realistic combat scenario. Combat is not always predictable, clear and precise. In this map, you’re given 3 points to defend or secure and it's up to you on how your team is divided in order to complete your objectives. If you have a good team, than you will be able to split up, communicate and capture or defend the towns effectively. if you don't, than you will lose. This map represents an example of real world events. War is hell! Additionally, if you don't like the map, don't play it!
