    If I was going to give my opinion I would just be reiterating what others have said, so I might as well just leave it here. Off topic, but where did you hear SLX has dismemberment? Is this available for arma 2 now? And if it is, are those effected dismembered by the blast radius of a HE round or from a direct hit from a tank shell like the in the fist SLX mod? I would prefer the former.
  2. I hope it's the mark 6, I don't know why but I just LOVE that helmet, It's definitely more aesthetically pleasing to me. But from the looks at the screens stalker has provided it seems he's sticking with the Mark 6, good move ;)

    I do agree that it would be nice to see it in the game but I'm not sure it's worth making that much of a fuss about, it would probably involve making completely fresh animations for the game and well... that's not all that easy with this game. Cymru am byth

    . . .Well anyway, to get other people to use them, the only way I've been able to get it working for all the participants is if they all download and install the addon/s individually. I don't do that sort of thing often so there are probably other/easier ways, it's not that much of an inconvenience anyway. It only affects the other players if the addons that you have are actually being USED in the custom mission. E.G you can have something like 20 addons, but if you add one of those addons into a custom mission (eg a jet) then that's the only addon they need to download, all addons that aren't being used in the mission are irrelevant.

Yeah this is the actual tank camo pattern that is currently in use by the Iraqi's http://www.wired.com/images_blogs/photos/uncategorized/2008/01/27/t72_iraq_01.jpg it's just a simple sand yellow colour, nothing more. Those BMP-2's in the background seem to be a sort of grayish colour though?     It is a bit mindless and chaotic but I think that is the goal of the game, it tries to make you go "OMGWTFBBQ" when shit hits the fan, and I think it does it pretty well.

  14. I liked the look of the salt plains in OpF: DR but they somehow managed to fuck that up royally, I'm sure it will be a hundred times better in Arma 2 and it's already looking great, keep up the good work! :)

    Really Disappointed :(

    Bug, you just need to find the right people bro, not everyone is as dedicated to teamwork as you would like them to be, there are a lot of clans out there that are just GREAT with teamwork, to be honest I don't play the mainstream game modes that you seem so much of like Domination, I would much rather the custom missions that pop up every now and again. I remember I was playing a Vietnam based mission where we had to take out outposts and then finally plan an assault on an Viet Kong HQ, this wasn't a clan match, this was actually a pub server that just caught my eye, and the teamwork was fantastic, we were basically a 5 man squad of a force recon team and if we tried to go off and do our own thing we would have been slaughtered, plus there was a revive script in that server so we HAD to stick together if we didn't want to be lying down in a field on our own because we didn't wanna work in a team. tl;dr Go for the servers with not so many people in them (preferably custom missions), you are forced to work as a team if you want to actually get anywhere.

Cracking work, I agree completely on that "cool feel" thing, I don't wanna be running around in Arma 2 feeling like a pleb and I imagine that's the exact opposite of what I would be feeling using these guys. Keep it up, we're absolutely dying to use these guys. :) I can imagine doing night time air dropped missions on Sahrani with these, again, they look top notch, awesome stuff.

    Maybe you shouldn't be upset with the game but more with your own government, hardly any other countries see any problems with this feature, but lets not go into that, also, lets not forget that it's a game.

    In my opinion, this game is OK. It's not mind blowing, the in-game graphics settings are pretty poor but that can be helped with Nvidia control panel. The gunplay seems a bit... awkward and the sounds are pretty pathetic, but on the upside they did a good job on the gore system, shooting someone in the head and the back of their skull popping open is pretty satisfying, and even though I mentioned earlier that the graphics aren't great with Nvidia improvements they are quite good. If someone told me that was an In-game screenshot of OpFlash2 before it was released I just wouldn't have believed them (It is an in-game screenshot, I took it like an hour ago) It sort of just feels like Bad Company (which isn't necessarily a bad thing) , even the introduction to the missions are the same (with the cinematic letterbox look) just without the witty humor from sweetwater and that other guy in BC. The squad controls are pretty good, your squad pretty much does exactly what you want exactly when you tell them to do it, I haven't had a go of many vehicles or multiplayer yet so there's not much I can say about them. How it compares to Arma 2 is a tough question, if I had a mission idea that had just popped into my head then it would be Arma 2 almost definitely, I don't like the way you have to go out of the game to make a mission in OpFlash and not only that but the mission editor interface is a bit more complicated than what I am used to with Arma, but if that mission included me playing as a soldier in a squad of infantry then i would want to try and make the mission in opflash. OpFlash would go well with Arma 2's Sounds and mission editor, if it had those then I think I would prefer it more but it doesn't, in my eyes, they could both learn from eachother, and that's my say. P.S I would just like to say that before I got this game I was a complete Arma 2 fanboy, anything any codemasters fanboy said would be like blasphemy to me, but now after playing it I am quite surprised and I have to say that I have to eat my words, it's a good game.

Still not getting any sonic snaps on my end, all i hear is the sound of the gun, btw i have tested playing as a civilian and standing at a distance in front of the gun, still no snaps... is it vopsound? EDIT: Never mind, I'm just a bit deaf. Awesome weapons and the animations and sounds are awesome!
  21. I've been playing with it for a while and the tank it's self is great, but the AI keeps acting really weird :/ I give the tank a waypoint and one guy always jumps out of the chally and runs with the tank, then at the waypoint they all get out and stare into the abyss... lolwut
  22. Lovely tank, now with stalkers RMC's, the new UKF weapons, and this chally, we're pretty damn close to having a respectable British presence in the game :)
