I be interested to see other people profiles and feedback - new to this game and learning the basic, but not a newbie to FPS or combat games. One thing I always try to do, once I understand the basic and commands, it try set up my key-bindings that are as much similar with others games I that I am playing with the type of same genre, COD, AA2,3, CS etc. Being the old guy/gamer that I am :), this help me in where I do not have to remember different configurations for each and every games to do certain things. Since I do not have the same reflex speed as someone in their twenties, I can still be competitive, since my brain and fingers had been programmed to hit certain keys automatically.

I would like to know this also Dslyecxi, if you care share, I am new to using the IRtrack.. it would be great to see how you had things set up. What axis to turn off, what keys to bind, etc. When I first use in Arma2, everything was moving very fast and I was getting disoriented where I could not tell which directions I was moving in and feeling sick, like motion sickness -any help will be greatly appreciated to understand and how to control your toon body and head movements with this device. If you need my email address, be glad to give it. I am using TrackIR4 pro, with beta 5.0 software. thanks

I figure that.. I even ran their game integrity/cache program.. I am just a little upset, since from the date of buying the game, I been dealing with this for 3 weeks and invested over 80 hrs of personal time - installing, reinstalling, OS, apps, drivers, routers config with other programs and apps that not even related to the steam. And, constantly repeating downloading the game, the problem was as simple as that, which they should had offered as one of the first step to do first, instead of telling me goes through 100 others things before suggesting this one. @fakename - one of the biggest marketing hoodwink are being done by Monitors companies, what they claimed they can do and what they can actual do are two different things - Here some good sites you can go to learn more about monitors and their capabilities http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/wiki/index.php/Master_Monitors_List & http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/Peripherals,2/Monitors,8/ - the forum also have some great info

Sound like is a monitor issues - usually "freq and out of range" message relates to your monitor not capable of supporting a certain resolution.. I currently working on similar issue myself with one of my monitor. You need to check to see what is your monitor display native resolution and change it to that or perhaps lower and see if that work.

http://www.driverheaven.net/general-discussion/90887- - posted on another thread., they may have a solution.. Also, if you thinking about buying creative cards, may sure you get one that allows you to download the Dolby Digital Live/DTS connection software for free, if not, will cost $35, if you want to have dolby digital.. creative does not turn this on, dues to licensing reason, you have to get it and activation it.

http://www.driverheaven.net/general-discussion/90887-redocnexk-released-realtime-5-1-ac3-encoder.html may want to go this site..they may have some solution For certain creative sound cards like the Aud/XiFi,that are dolby certified to get 5.1 working, especially for dolby digital live, you have to download the dolby live/dts connection software pack and activation it. Creative does not turn this on, due to licensing reason.. some people who have a certain ver of XiFi or Aud, can get it for free, if not cost $35. Also, you will need to get latest driver.. and then turn it on via their software. Daniel K.. apparently help get this done.

if you push the issue hard enough with them.. they will refund, I brought a game called damnation, I was starting to download it, when I start to see bad review. I push them to refund it.. and they did. I was in the middle of pushing them to refund AArm2 game, because I could not get it to work and I wanted them to sent me a cd or refund my money and I will go buy the CD,until they told me to try this one solution. It all depends on how you are wordings the issues to them.. The language i used, was written in a context like this, when they were pushing back. "You are requiring people who are purchasing the game via digital download to use your technology and platform. You are acting, not only as a retailer, but also as a service provider. You made not be the maker, still your technology is part of the overall offering. If you were acting strictly as a retailer, I would still expect the same rights/refund polices that are typical of a brick and mortar location in regard to returning products and refunds as part of any reputable vendors who customers are important to them, the ability to exchange, refund or replace as part of their standard policy. To have a no refund/return policy, where the products/services because of design, defects, technical, or failures issues which are beyond this customer control- such policies will conflicts, deprive or limited the customer's rights to received or obtained any economic value/benefits for their monetary consideration and could be in violation of certain UCC, States or Federal statures, regulations and laws. Especially, when your organization has direct control on all economic benefits, values and transactions relating to the selling, marketing, services and distribution of such products through your services, in return for the customers monetary consideration, where such monetary consideration are made directly to your company." Also, I used paypal, which have a resolution policies, if you use a cc, you can filed for a chargeback

I thought I shared some history I had in getting this game to work with Steam after purchasing it 3weeks ago and now as of today, the game is launching thru steam and I was able to start learning the basic of the game. See Sig for sys spec. I was having two major issues 1. Direct 9 graphical error, even though I have direct 10 2. Steam will always give me this message "this game is currently unavailable, please try again at another time" Purchased game around July 4 or 5th July 8 - my message to Steam I purchase this game (AARM2) via your steam game - ever since I downloaded the game, the game has not work - I first got an error msg about missing dx 9, when I launch in full mode, and then i when try to launch in window mode and it came up then crash. Now, even since then, I been getting a message that said, "this game is currently unavailable, please try again at another time" I went to your support site, and try every suggestions that was mentioned to try to get rid of this error, and still nothing, i have uninstall drivers, reinstall OS, visual c, etc. run in admin, reinstall the game twice, reinstall steam several times.. and still nothing July 10 Steam reply Please disable your background applications. Please disable NOD also. After doing so, please reload your game files by deleting the local content and reinstalling. If that doesn't resolve the issue, please uninstall NOD completely. Sometimes just having that software also on the system causes Steam not to function correctly. please send us your msinfo32.nfo July 12 my message to steam i have follow everything what you had advise, disable all backup services, delete the local content, reconfig my router, etc. I have spent almost 60 hrs in trying to resolved this. This is the only game I am having issue with. I have CODWAW, EmpireatWar, American Army3, DoD, counter strike and they all work fine thru your service, with all the background services running, including the Antivirus, without me going thru all of this. July 15 steam reply It appears that you have SLI enabled for your graphics card. Please disable SLI and retest. July 15 my message to steam I do not have it enable.. as per the Nv control panel July 16 Steam reply Please ensure you have the latest DirectX on your system. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=2DA43D38-DB71-4C1B-BC6A-9B6652CD92A3&displaylang=en Please try the following, Exit Steam entirely. Browse to your Steam installation (Usually C:\Program Files\Steam\) Rename the "steamapps" folder to "old_steamapps" Re-launch Steam and re-install the game. Once the installation is complete, test the issue. If the issue is not resolved, you can rename the folder back to avoid having to re-install other games. July 17 my message to steam Believe it or not, the game work after doing that.. even with everything load, anti-virus, services, etc. So you mean to tell me I have waste almost 3 weeks and hours working on this since I purchased the game- un-installing the games, others applications, downloading and re- downloading, drivers, etc and that the issue was simply this solution, regarding your folders? Summary So after spinning my wheels mostly on my own, the problem was solved with this simple solution and it has to do with steam. I am able to launch the game in full and windowed - I had yet to really involved myself in learning the basic.. hopefully, this weekend I will be able too. So, if anyone is having issues, maybe this step by changing the steamapp folder to old and follow the steps in the bold bullet points , may save you some grief and times in the long run... no harm in trying it right.
