Longest confirmed kill with an M24 is actually 1250m. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Longest_recorded_sniper_kills "That's why I say hey man, nice shot .......... nice shot man."

Isn't the addon Zeus AI ACE a recent release made just for the ACE mod?

MCC Sandbox - Mission making the easy way
HG_Havok replied to spirit6's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - USER MISSIONS
This is an excellent tool, I have a ton of fun playing with it, but I am unable to find the tactical nukes although I've been all through the manual, video's, and this thread. I am obviously missing something but I am to much of a noob to know what that might be. Can someone point me in the right direction? -
[Mini ACE2 SP Campaign]A Noble Cause
HG_Havok replied to manzilla's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - USER MISSIONS
Thanks for the help fella's, I'll give this a try over the weekend. edit: Not to feel so stupid after all as the "Campaigns" folder is not installed by default and needs to be created by the end user in the default ARMA2 folder. Make sure it is spelled in the plural! -
ACE 1.9 (Advanced Combat Enviroment) for OA/CO
HG_Havok replied to AnimalMother92's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Sickboy, you said above that "ACEX_SM is a client-side mod and not needed on dedicated server". Are you saying one can delete this from the server command line and ACE will run ok on the server? If that is true, is there any other ACE mod that does not need to be in the command line? I am thinking that this might conserve resources? -
[Mini ACE2 SP Campaign]A Noble Cause
HG_Havok replied to manzilla's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - USER MISSIONS
I feel kinda stupid for asking this but I tried putting the pbo file in my missions folder and could not see it listed as a mission in the game. What am I doing wrong? :o -
ACE 1.8 (Advanced Combat Enviroment) for OA/CO
HG_Havok replied to sickboy's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
I solved my problem of logging into Dev-Heaven by actually going to the correct site, Dev-Heaven, and logging in there. In a fit of noobism I was trying to log into Wagon, not realising the two had different log-ins. I shall proceed accordingly. :j: -

Thanks for the Fallujah info Sickboy but my account at Dev-Heaven is blocked for some reason, (email not recognized, login attempts fail) so I will just stick to the Battle Center missions (Thanks!) until more missions come along. -
ACE 1.8 (Advanced Combat Enviroment) for OA/CO
HG_Havok replied to sickboy's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
I have not been able to play the Fallujah missions that come with ACE since Six Updater began updating the Fallujah map a few weeks ago. The maker of that map changed the name to Fallujah V1.0 and I think this is at the root of the problem as Six Updater still calls it just "Fallujah". I think this just boils down to a typo somewhere and probably doesn't warrant a support ticket but I am not smart enough to pinpoint what has happened here, just wanted to put a bug in someones ear! -

This is the same version as RC1 released last Friday isn't it? I am asking because Six Updater is showing nothing new. And thanks ACE Team, we appreciate such a great mod. -
ACE 1.7 (Advanced Combat Enviroment) for OA/CO
HG_Havok replied to AnimalMother92's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
I think what Manzilla is trying to say is that ACE_Clippi is included inside the @ACE modfolder automatically. Clippi needs to be running while ARMA 2 is running in order for it to update your clientside config but you only need to do this once after updating your config. If you don't have Clippi, a quick search over at DH yielded a ton of info and a download link: http://dev-heaven.net/issues/15047#note-17 -
ACE 1.6 (Advanced Combat Enviroment) for OA/CO
HG_Havok replied to AnimalMother92's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
I have a Six-Updater issue this week. The issue is that Six will tag the mod for update but won't find the update after hitting "execute". It says "no new version found" although there is a new version and the right hand window confirms this. I deleted and reinstalled Six but my mod still won't update to the latest version. I'm pretty sure this has been addressed before, I think I have to delete something but after searching for that answer I was unable to find specifics. I am running Win 7. Thanks! edit: This fixed itself after a new version of ACE was issued. My efforts to solve this myself were fruitless, which included deleted all ACE folders and virtual store stuff. -

What has happened to the mpmissions included with ACE? I remember seeing a few pages back that they would be updated or perhaps, more would be added, but the mpmissions folder is now missing completely after the latest update. -

Does the Clippi program need to be run everytime we play ACE 2 or just one time after updating ACE 2? -

Something has happened to my account at DevHeaven as I can't login anymore and it doesn't recognize my email address as valid, although it is. I've never posted there so maybe I got scrubbed? -
Bummer. Guess I'll watch football instead. This is a great thread, lots of exposed and pissed off liberals here to play with. Unfortunately for me, I am to busy working to pay off my mortgage and the mortgages of you liberals to fully participate so I'll just pop in every so often for a good laugh at the liberals expense. And oh yeah, I'll be back on Judgement Day +1 for sure to rub some salt in the wounds.
-
I think what you liberals fail to understand is that conservatives have no need for a government ... we can self regulate ourselves in a manner that won't interfere with other citizens so we require less government. On the other hand, liberals can't self regulate and need a higher authority to help them out. And because they can't self regulate they think that no one can so they have to impose "big authority" on everyone. Very selfish indeed, but we have learned to just laugh it off. Judgement Day is right around the corner here in America and I'm sure you jackboot liberals won't be laughing, but for us real Americans, it will be the biggest laugh of all! Have fun!
-
Imagine ............................ no liberals. :yay: :)
-
Funny .....when folks burn the American flag it "is their right to do so." But when an American wants to burn the koran it's " oh ... how could they do that?? Isn't there laws against it???" FLOL!!! Just wish I had thought of it first, but seems like a good thing to do on the 4th.

Unless it has changed in the latest version, there is a "parameters" button shown right after choosing the mission. You have to have admin rights (pw) then start adjusting!

ACE 1.5 Beta (Advanced Combat Environment)

I was having issues with Six Updater on Friday too but after trying it again it worked just fine. Sometimes a simple reboot will flush out the gremlins too. -
ACE 1.5 Beta (Advanced Combat Environment)
HG_Havok replied to xeno's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Make sure the latest "bikeys" for your addons are in the "keys" folder. Not every addon furnishes keys but the ones that do usually put them in their own folder with the extension ".bikey". The ACE key is in the "store" folder. Keys only go in the "keys" folder, don't copy any other folder to this directory, just the key. Six Updater will process keys for you, which is a handy little feature! -

You need @CBA OA only if you are using the OA standalone, the @CBA is for the combined version.
