    Only group leaders have friendly tags

    From what I've noticed friendly tags disappear after a few moments, going in and out of the map screen makes them apear on your screen again (for that same timeframe).. I'm guessing this isn't a bug, but something BI added for realism.

    Directions shouted by AI

    Fact is that 1-12 'o clock would still offer the same problems, as in: who's 1-12 'o clock? I never played OFP, so unless they made it so that you would be prompted of which direction the enemy is from YOU it wouldn't make a difference. The compass or a grid location would work so much better.. More likely a compass location, seeing as looking at the map and searching for that particular grid would most likely get you killed before you find it (and you wouldn't do something stupid like that if you would be there in real life either).

    Player IDs

    Your own ID can be found under profiles (main menu) and can't be changed.. Other players ID's can only be seen by admins on the server you play on (#userlist in the chat), like others have said before me.. ID can be used for: - Banning - Squad.xml

    Domination special request

    Domination is mostly put together with scripting (even ammo boxes, believe it or not :D) and most objects don't physically show up in the editor as far as I could tell, so it would be quite the challenge for anyone but Xeno to make it happen.. I'm sure Xeno is more than willing to listen to request, and you can always find people on these forums that know a lot about scripting, so it shouldn't be a big problem to find someone who could make it happen.
  9. What island did you use? There are two different islands to choose from (editor and mission selection) on the left hand side of the "creation" menu (utes for a mission made in utes, chernarus for a mission made in chernarus).     Any way to show just friendly units on map?

    I don't think that's possible (by changing difficulty settings).. As far as I know, the different difficulty settings are: I might have made some mistakes, or missed some stuff (found nothing on settings via google, which is weird), but this is basicaly what each setting does..
  11. Hi all, I just finished my first mission ever, and I just wanted to share it with all of you.. It's a PvP capture & hold (max. 30players), located within the town of Chernogorsk. I always found that Chernogorsk would be a great setting for any kind of PvP mode, so it's obvious that I chose this location as the place where it all goes down so to speak. The mission was made with the help of [sBS]mac's PvP script pack, which helped out a great deal in making it happen.. But I would also like to thank the people on these forums and on the ArmaHolic forum that assisted me in my attemps to add non-script pack related scripts, without your help I would have never finished it :) But enough of the chatter, it's the mission you guys opened this topic for so.. I'm currently running Arma on my laptop (HP Pavilion HDX18-1050eb), and it runs damn smooth with the right config..: - Specs: CPU: Intel® Core2 Duo CPU P8400 @ 2.26GHz RAM: 4GB OS: Windows Vista Home Premium Edition (64bit) Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT - Arma Video Settings: http://img140.imageshack.us/img140/6016/arma22009091100302957.png (Interface and 3D resolution have changed though: 1920*1080 and 1680*945) I am saving up for a new computer though, because things can ALWAYS be better :)

    The only thing I changed was resolution and interface size, that's why I doubt that would be the problem :)
  15. The thing is, if I buy it before this month ends: I get a windows 7 upgrade for free. But you're probably right about everything else, just being carefull with my budget (lol) but I'll defenitly look into that. PS: How about a GeForce GTX285 ?

  17. You would need some kind of script that opens the ammo screen (like you would get when selecting the "gear" option from any standard ammo box). If you can find one, the scripting for placing weapons inside of that barrel would be (worked for my ammo box, so I'm GUESSING it would be the same thing): Create a barrelweapons.sqf": while {alive _this} do { clearweaponcargo _this; clearmagazinecargo _this; //BIS WEAPONS// _this addWeaponCargo ["weaponclassname",numberofweapons]; //BIS AMMO// _this addMagazineCargo ["magazineclassname",numberofclips]; sleep 1800; }; In the main mission folder's init.sqf: _barrel1 addAction ["Gear", "barrelweapons.sqf", 1, false, true,""]; In the box's init (call it barrel1) space you'd then put: null0 = this execVM "barrelweapons.sqf"; null0 = barrel1 addaction ["gear", "barrelweapons.sqf"]; PS: Cobra's script works perfectly aswel, but you wouldn't have it INSIDE of the barrel (if that's really something you want..)

  20. If I do that I respawn with the default loadout, so it didn't save.. I have found another issue though, if I set CTF_defaultWeapon=""; it spawns any character without anything in the inventory.. When I preview, I see all of the AI players with a gun at the spawn zone but I'm not carrying one myself.. This happens every time, even if I set the "player" to one of the AI that did have a weapon when I first previewed. I tried adding weapons and ammo myself in the character's init, but that doesn't seem to do the trick either.. Could it be that something is interferring with this? EDIT: NVM, just found the CTF_defaultWeaponEast and CTF_defaultWeaponWest command.. lol :D
