  2. I've been going through the commref and tried out some of the "delete" functions - ofcourse I've also searched the forums, but wasn't able to find what I needed.. So - what I want to do, is I want a chopper to drop off a team and then fly away - when out of sight, I want to delete the chopper AND crew.. At first, I used deleteVehicle x; in the waypoint - but then the crew would just fall to the ground. I then tried to put in Squad = group this;, then afterwards type deletegroup squad; in the waypoint, but it did nothing.. Then I made an empty chopper, a BLUEFOR pilot and used moveindriver x; and then made a deleteVehicle x; on both of them - but now the Transport Unload doesn't work so, the chopper flies to the drop off point, then turns, gets deleted (with pilot) and I get smashed.. How the heck do I get it to delete the whole thing?

I've been downloading addons and thrown them into the AddOns folder, but as I've been getting more and more addons, I've run into problems connecting to multiplayer servers (Some servers don't allow them and I guess that's understandable).. Some of the addons are also kinda bugged and gives me errors in the editor and when starting the game.. I bought it via Steam, so if I uninstall it, I have to download it again.. So - hoping that I can avoid that, I'd like to ask if there's a kind person who could take a screenshot of the original/unaltered AddOns folder, or make a list of the files in it...
  8. I know this is big... Too big perhaps.. But how about not fighting the russians for a change? I think a mod concerning current conflicts, like Afghanistan, could be great. Although I've never tried to edit maps, I can imagine that making a barren mountain area with a few villages could be pretty simple (as opposed to making a dense city f.ex.) EDIT: Oh - or a (perhaps ficticious) conflict in Africa? Some jungle, some tribal villages, tribal civil war theme etc.? At the same time, I'd also like to see some more nationalities, being a dane, and former conscript soldier, I'd ofcourse like to see some danish units (there was actually a pretty cool mod with danish units for OFP) - but units like german, english, dutch, canadian, french and... Well, etc... would be pretty cool :)

    I have not had any problems with ArmA 2 - but have before had problems with other games on Steam - Company of Heroes suddenly came up and demanded a CD-KEY for instance... So question is, if it's the game or if it's Steam..

    ARMA2 put you off the Army ?

    I was in the Royal Artillery Regiment in the Danish army and was in the HQ's medical unit.. I felt that I was wasting my time, counting the stock of medical equipment only to recount it again because there were no other tasks to perform.. Being in the medical unit was extremely boring because when were on drill missions, we had nothing to do and all we did was change positions and setting up camouflage nets and stuff.. If we were to have some practice at our function (I was in a M113 Ambulance, meaning we'd have to drive places to pick up "wounded" guys) it meant that other platoons would have to spare men from their training and they didn't want that.. All in all - my service time was BORING and there were other things I rather would've been doing.. We were asked to go to Iraq, but only very few signed up - I didn't, since I did not believe in that war...

    This is really awesome, definately going to check this out.. Couldn't there be included some feature, so that you could choose to have your subordinates select an "approach" for their squads.. So that you could have "squad formations", so to speak. F.ex. choosing "wedge" meaning that the squads would move in a line with a squad a bit behind the others (just like selecting formation in a squad) This would ofcourse not make the subordinate think for himself, but at least the groups wouldn't move in a big crowd... Just a thought?

  14. Hi, I'm new to this forum and new to editing ARMA II, though I've had some experience with OFP. I made a forum search on this, but wasn't able to find anything. Now, my problem is that I can't get AI units inside of the bunkers (EMPTY -> OBJECTS (FORTIFICATIONS) -> BUNKER (all variants)) I create the unit, give it a move waypoint on the bunker, but there's no "positioning" option when I'm editing the waypoint.. The AI won't even go inside the bunker. I made a small base, with H-barriers and tower bunkers, and want a couple of soldiers in each bunker - but so far I've not had any luck :(
