  2. reminds me of just last week when in Arma3 i was shooting 10 x 6.5mm round with my MK-something @75m. (all hits) and they guy was still standing :) This mod should be implemented for sure and introduce some proper damage handling. I am also still wondering btw if a tank will be completely destroyed by any '120mm' round or similar? maybe this is the only option with arma damage engine being next to none but still.....


  3. Very interesting mod. I would love to see the Dutch Armed Forces mod upgraded with this quality weapon refinement. Since The DAFmod was made with many different addons the weapons are all different and this could really make it all blend into a well shaped proper addon for the (Dutch) Arma2 fans. In short this is just what the doctor ordered :)

    Been testing this with hcpookie today and it was an awesome experience, to bad you were not available today! Only note i had was that the phosphorus grenade had a very (maybe too) large radius and the bullet tracers and function is the best I've ever seen! Thanks again for all the help!

  5. Ive just recently had the time to play with this wonderful APC and have found some problems while operation this vehicle.

    1. Turn circle is to big and the APC does not rotate properly around its wheel base, instead it rotates off center making turning almost impossible

    2.Acceleration problem in low gear makes driving at low speeds very hard & makes it impossible to get over small rocks and walls etc.

    Now looking at the date of this topic i guess you have moved on to ArmA3 or have determined that you cannot upgrade these problems anymore. But looking at how great this model is and how well it all was made it is a shame to see such a nice APC preform so bad. Thanks!


  6. As many as possible, this will be the main DAF mission in the mod and will also be the best display of forces working at ones. So Chernarus and Takistan and if you have some time left maybe also one could be make for your most favorite other maps. For the units the standard might do and maybe for some you could use some PMC troops. Ultimately there would also be a version with the FFAA arab terrorists since they are the best resembling radicals you can come across.

    If you have anything i could help with or test just let me know. I’m on the edge of my seat to see this great mission arise for the Dutch Faction and would like to organize a mega-event to demonstrate the complete module for Arma2.


  7. The ACE bug has been found and fixed! For this new patch you will need a previous version of the DAFmod and preferably the 085 version. Any problems can be reported as usual. Have fun!

    I just found the problem i think.....there must ba something wrong with the navy crew config file. If you remove the daf_personeit_2.pbo it might work as normal. Ill try to make a quickfix stay tuned! But please test this! Thx & Gl


  9. EVO!!! My favorite mission of all. I would have tried it already but the time didn't let me until now. The mod is almost finished and just some scripts and proper missions remain on the agenda. So if you could help with this it would be so awesome! There is a list of classnames in an xml spreadsheet in the DAFmod that can be used to get all the classnames. Anything else you need just ask! Thanks again for the offer you just made my day :)

  10. Patch 0.8x is getting close to release date. A lot of small details and color upgrades etc this time with less new stuff being implemented the time has come to finalize the textures and go more in detail. After all this modding the Technic used still could be enhanced and with that all the mods and textures will slowly become better over time. Tips are always welcome!

  11. Sorry for the late reply! This is a mission script error. there is a bug in one of them (or daf_missions.pbo in older versions.) so removing them will solve the problem. I've been looking into the ACE bug with no luck so far. will try some other things soon and will hope to have some script errors fixed by the end of next month. Sorry i have not been able to fix it but remember that I work on this mod all alone and am no expert myself.

    Tomorrow on friday there will be an Arma 3 operation as you are probably aware. More details about the event can be found here: http://www.battlegroup-xtra.eu/index.php/Events/viewevent.html?eventid=91

    In addition to notice you about the event also on the steam group I would like to point out that this is the first of a series of events which will take different kind of operations each week or so to challenge our battlegroup.

    This will aim to provide many types of mission to play and to improve our cooperation and tactical gameplay in each situation arma will be able to provide.

    Moreover this is marking the start of a new recruitment session and a new server configuration that will undergo multiple optimizations in future.

    Everyone is invited and encouraged to be an active part of this with any kind of help you are able to provide!

  13. @larsiano great new content, but is there any new on the fixing of the ace bug?

    not so much. but im still activly trying to make the mod work as we hope. Maybe the new updates have fixed something or the bug is its just the missions that are bugged? If not we need to dig a little deeper!

  14. This is not realy a server problem so you are in the wrong tread ofcource. If you use an AI enhancing mod like ASR_AI do you also add the userconfig file to the userconfigs folder? This is required for the mod to get his basic settings. Also in this profile you can change a lot of difficulty settings to make it better for you? and if all asle fails i would ask your question in the ASR_AI topic: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?107526-ASR-AI-Skills


  15. I’ve also heard that Gamespy was throwing in the towel after more than a decade of service. It had something to do with the massive changes in the gaming word etc etc etc.. That it would be so soon and with such disasters results has now become clear with reading the disturbing port of Maruk. What to come of good old Arma2 NON-Steam users?


  16. @Bravo93: Konyo is making an Arma3 version as we speak so hold your horses, and dont forget some people might still only use ArmA2

    @serjames: repeating things doesnt make it happen faster, also have some respect for arma2!

    This looks very nice. altough i have some tips on how to blend the text better with the texture. I took me a while to figure this out but never use 100% black i always use 131313 or 101010 (a few tints lighter black in PS).

    also maybe you can lower the opacity of the roundel a little to that it wont stick out too much > 85/95% !


  17. What units are you using? It might be that they have a limitation or something changes the original animations? Last option would be to assume that the animations used in the model config is wrong...So most lightly there are conflicting mods that cause this? Make sure you have all the requirements for the mod and play them standalone without too many mods besides it or ask in the original modmakers topic for advice!


  18. There will always be some errors in the log even with a BIS mission, so some messages can’t be fixed, are unclear even to the Dev's

    Why does it keep telling me "Player Without Identity"
    Do you use any mods? If this is not a BIs unit it might be that the addon unit has a config error / missing element in the config identity ="some value"; ....I would ask the mod maker to fix this!
    The second Question would be are the errors in the second .rpt just related to the mission being played?
    No, this will also contain object errors and other game related messages

    The third question would be, why is the 3rd .rpt file telling me that the Objects aren't found?
    there are to many errors to understand which you mean exactly! But can’t find object means the object is not found at the specified location: wrong path, wrong name, wrong type of file etc.
