    Hello, I'm working on trying to get snow implemented into Domination, and I have game logics ready to place, but can't seem to figure out how to make it work inside the dynamic weather patterns of Domination. Are there triggers set inside the editor that set the weather off, or somethign I can put an exec into? Any help would be greatly appreciated. NOTE: The files I'm working with are the Nim_fog & Nim_snow sqs files if that helps any.

    Sorry to revive this old thread, but I can't seem to find the weather info from Killjoy. Also, I'm looking in the Dom map and can't seem to find where the triggers are to set off the dynamic weather. Is there anyone out there able to help me out?

    I'm in the same boat as Balgorg. I have the sqs file made up, but I don't know where/how the other part fits in. I've copied the sqs to my missions folder, where do I put the logic? Do I go into game and place a general game logic, and put this in the init area? [this,0] exec "NIM_Snow.sqs";

    US Winter SpecOps look great, but just wanted to point something out that will probably annoy detail-oriented gamers: The flag on the sleeve should be on the right shoulder instead of the left, and reversed so that the stars are "forward."

    Hello, I've read a few posts here and there about just being able to add snow via script, rather than a full mod. Does anyone know where I can find this, and how I can get it to work? Any help is appreciated.

  8. Well, I did everything you suggested and now I'm getting lots of skipping and crashing, mostly when the enviornment spazzes out and turns into triangles and such. Not sure what the problem is, has anyone had this problem? Maybe it's the new nvidia patch?
  9. It should be just a part of the regular game coding. If I put a unit on the map, then adjust the placement radius to, say...500, then the game will randomly place that unit within that 500m radius. Doesn't happen with this gametype, so I'm not sure if it's the script, or something I'm doing.
  10. Hey, is there something in the scripts that prevent random placement of objects/vehicles? I'm trying to make a vehicle that has a placement radius of about 100, but no matter how many times I play the mission, it's always in the same place.
  11. Hey all, My group has been having a heck of a time lately trying to mark our maps as we define a strategy for whatever it is we're doing at the moment. We always make sure that we're marking the map while in Global Channel, or if we're playing TvT, we make sure we're in Group Channel. One problem we'll have is someone will place a marker, then as he places the next one, the previous marker will automatically disappear. It will not vanish for the person making the markers, but will do so only for the other players in-game. Sometimes they will work, and other times they won't. It seems to be a random occurance. Does anyone have the same problem, or know of a way to fix it? Or is it just a bug in the game itself? Thanks.

  14. LoL, a real accurate simulation would be a jarring effect from hot brass hitting the side of your head if you're to the right of a 240! Followed only be a "ow wow owow OW!" to simulate it going down your shirt.

    Not sure I follow. If I'm running a server, and have this as my main addon, people joining my server will not have to have the addon to see the Army uniforms? That's what I'm going for.
  17. Concerning the blurred vision next to weapons, I'm getting a lot of "I would think you'd do this and....." vs. "I've been there/done that." Not saying that some opinions aren't valid, but I would naturally listen to the guy who's actually experienced being next to an automatic weapon while it's been fired.

    This is surely a stupid question, but is there any way to make mods/skins server-side rather than rely on clients to add the -mod in their shortcut? Thanks.
  19. These maps are very easy to make. I, personally, have made a template of my own and have produced 2 infantry maps and one tank battle in less than 2 days. These haven't been put out except to our own server, but maybe in the future I'll put out a pack for the rest of the public. It just goes to show how easy these maps are to make.
  20. That's just the game's way of filling in the blanks. When you name your mission, try using _ when saving. If you don't want those to show up on your mission select screen, in the editor, go to the top right hand corner where it shows the mission name/time/weather, and at change it there. You need to classify one of your "units' or players as "player" instead of "playable/non-playable" and that'll fix your problem

  22. yah, All I need to figure out is if it's possible to have a parameter for admins at startup to have respawns in 0,1,3,5,10,Unlimited. Also, I'm using the gametype mentioned and have done my own tweaks, but I'm finding that when I go to the last flagpole, it has two flags up there. One for East and one for Neutral. When I capture it as a West soldier, it has one flag for East and one for West. I wonder if i'm doing something wrong, or if it's just the way the gametype is. *scratches head* P.s. Thanks for all your help in this! It's much appreciated! EDIT: Here's what the "defending" flag looks like. In this photo, it is neutral and hasn't been claimed by anyone at the moment. It is named "objective" and in the text area it says "Flag,score=15"
  23. Sry, I'm trying to get it so that admins on the servers can set the number of respawns through the parameters, rather than going through the config file.
  24. Is there a way to place the respawn options in the parameters? I'm going over the start lobby dialogs and don't see an option for that, but I might have passed over it accidently.
  25. That would be great. Ideally, it would be an interesting thing to make it into the keep, then fight your way up to the top to capture the flag, so yes, it would be best to have capture at the height of the flagpole. Tom, I'll try those maps, and be in contact with you if I need any help. Thanks!
