Umm.....I've got it installed and the only thing that Im showing are a couple BAF logos and the sharpur map. Agreed. Very smart move. This was my one hangup about getting the content, because I want to still be able to play with my cheap friends without having to change servers all the time. Good job BIS, just wish you would've let me know sooner lol. (we already had a plan in place to deal with DLC/non-DLC users by setting up 2 servers) -

I wonder if the IEDs will be simple objects or something like a composition? -

It IS an OA logo. But the answer to your question is yes, I've tried it, and can't find the file. I think it is "arrow-something.paa" Do a search for that and you might find what you're looking for. -

Understandable. Problem I have now is that I can't get them back to a camp or something else! It's just stuck there. I'm probably going to have to re-do the whole mission again anyways, and hope the problem doesn't repeat. If an array were to be placed, wouldn't they just be blown up as well? -

Thanks guys. I've got the firebases deleted finally and everything works good. I decided to go against putting the mortar camp down for simplicity reasons, but will probably add it in when I'm sure everything else is stable. On to my next project.... So I was able to get into the fsms\CampDialog.fsm file and change the fortified camps to something smaller like a vehicle service point. (They're now called "arms caches" lol). The first problem I have is... 1. The camps were changed into "TK_GUE_WarfareBVehicleServicePoint_EP1" and now, once the enemy spawns at the maintarget, they all start shooting it with their SPGs and rifles. I've tried all instances of the service points, even US versions, and the same thing happens. Now here's the weird part... 2. I decided to change them back to Land_fortified_nest_big_EP1, but they still remain the vehicle service points. I've changed it around a dozen times, saved the file, saved the mission in-game, re-loaded the mission, restarted the game, nothing can change it back. I even tried taking the original file and overriting it, to no avail. Anybody got ideas on how to either keep the enemy from shooting at the service points, or how to change them to something else? -

Any idea how to go about this, and where to put them? I'm looking for exactly what you have. The idea is, instead of massive arty positions with all the support, something more along the lines of what an insurgent mortar team would use, other than rocks and strong arms. EDIT: I also tried replacing d_firebase1 with a simple object, but it gave a script error and didnt spawn. I replaced it with one of the compositions from regular ArmaII and it worked perfectly. Now i just need to figure out how to put a composition that I like in. Thanks for the quick replies guys -

Hey guys, does anyone have any idea how to take out the enemy D30 installations? I've tried finding "d30" in file with no luck of taking them out. The reason I asked is I'm trying to port a version of Domination over to Zargabad and the enemy arti pieces just don't fit in, plus I like to make them mostly infantry main targets. Any ideas? EDIT: Actually, if I could just change out the D30s for something like "2b14_82mm_TK_INS_EP1" that might be better/easier. -

Grimes, I'll try it tonight and see how it works out for me. Big thanks to both you and Carl for making it look easy. Carl, that arty system sounds really nice. Can't wait to see it. Belgarion: The system we use is some sort of outside program that was built from the ground up by someone who licensed it to us, using a coding language I don't understand (I think SQL). There are no scripts as far as I can tell, but I can say it is very complicated. I would suggest finding a programmer who may be able to help you out. -

Excellent Corporal! Thanks a lot. I've put it in, but haven't tested it out quite yet. One more question, and sorry to bother you guys again, but I'm learning. I'm trying to move the bonus vehicle points, but there are so many different sets of positions, I can't seem to find the right one. Any idea on which set is the applicable? I'm editing R_West and running vanilla OA. -

That sounds good. The reason I ask is because when we all get together and do our tactical nights, sometimes the first mission that pops up isn't one we like to do, so it would be nice to sometimes move it forward to the next one. Also wondering how much work it would be to change the "side missions only" to "main missions only." That would be a nice option to explore as well. -

I'm not using the Beta, but not sure if others on the server are. I just now while playing 2.28 that I crashed 3-4 times within an hour. about 5-6 others on the server had the same problem. I thought it may be a grouping issue since they are grouped via "thisgroup" code, and also via the connected lines. My other thought is that I placed a new picture in for a flag texture, but I doubt that causes issues. Other than that, I would think that 2.28 is unstable. *shrugs* -

I'm playing/modifying West_R version. They aren't grouped in that either, from what I can tell. So I went in to the editor and hit f2 for groups, then connected the lines to alpha/bravo/ect so they would be more organized in the multiplayer setup screen. Could this cause a crash to desktop? -

Is there any reason the squads aren't grouped? I'm trying to troubleshoot why 2.28 crashes so much and one of the changes I made was grouping the units together according to their squad lable (alpha, bravo, ect) -
My server is having a problem with people crashing constantly during the game. We average about 10-15 people at a time. Is this a problem with version 28 or something else?

And, as has been mentioned at least a couple times when the question came up, BIS was working on a way for folks who have/have not to play at the same time. Of course, I could've misunderstood, but I'll have to go back through the posts to check. EDIT: Ahh, here we go... Any updated info on what this solid plan is?
