How to use bags in OA? Other questions.

I think some units are modeled with the backpack without it actually having any purpose. (Not 100% sure on that, could be some addon units I have) That may be the reason you can't access it in the gear menu. If you are equipped with one just open the gear menu. Click the backpack, and choose "open bag". Then you can move the gear you want over to your inventory or vice versa. The numbers on the left is the amount thats in the bag, and the right ones is what you carry. As ffur2007slx2_5 already said you can also walk up to a person with a bag and access it with the mousewheel. To get a AI unit to drop the pack mark the unit and press 6, then you will see the option. -
I tried this mission Mountain Warriors made by CoffeeCat the other day. And halfway through you are supposed to shoot down a Apache with Stinger AA missiles, wich turned out to be rather hard. The Apache defelcts all incoming missles like it has a magnetic shield because of its flares. After 3 attempts and 12 missles fired I gave up and started up the editor to see if it was a bug in the mission. It turned out that that you need at least 5 AA soldiers to take it out! In this scenario it took 10 to bring it down, but in other map locations 5-6 is enough: Is flares really that effective?

I think I found the mod causing the effect. This little bugger was in my @aircraft folder: dbo_counter. After a quick google search http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=6642 So if anyone wants godmode helicopters, this is the addon you need :) -

You should run the native resolution for your screen, 1680x1050, if possible for the best picture. LCD screens tend to get blurry at other resoulutions. If you are struggling with FPS you should turn it down to 1280x720 and choose 16:9 as aspect ratio.

There was a addon I used that made the Apache run in "godmode". When i tried without mods I took it down in two shots. Fun mission! You should do more of these:) -

My bad! :o Looks like some addon is screwing up the flare system. Disabled all mods now and it was pice of cake to shoot down an Apache. :D I only run units, veichles and aircraft mods. Don't use any AI or effects mods, so I don't understand what is causing that effect? Maybe some of the RKSL addon is implementet in some of the aircrafts that I have in my addon folder. Strange that it should affect BIS Apache though. -

No mods that should affect missiles and weapons. Only soundmod is supposed to be active in this test. -

How the hell do I shoot that Apache beast out of the sky? I've tried several times now, and it launches it flares each time I try to shoot it down with the Stinger. Then he locks on to med with the 30mm..good night. Another thing, The Tali commander constantly make the empty humwees targets, so many of my team mates are out of ammo before we hit the bottom of the hill. Seems like they wont fire their RPGs within a certain distance? -
You should search and ask in the editing forum, better chance of finding stuff there. I'm no good at edit stuff, but there are scripts that can help you out http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=100496

I think all all games look like that. Atleast all I have tested on my trippel screen setup get stretched out to the sides of the picture.

Couple of Pictures from my setup. Thinking about changing my 16:10 screen in the middle. Can't get the aspect ratio to function properly with the two 16:9 screens. As you can see on the picture, the aspect ratio fits at the bottom but get stretched towards the top. :confused: It is working great in normal 3 screen extended mode. But when I put all 3 screens in group mode, 5760x1080 resolution, then I can't get it to scale right. :confused: If anyone know how to fix this, please share in this thread :) [/img] -

I got it to work now swissMAG. Wow! This is great. The FPS is better with 3 screens now, than with one screen at my old rig :) I'll take some photos when I get back from work tonight RogueBlade. -

I have bought a new system with a ATI 5870 and 3, 24" screens. One 16:10 (1920x1200) as primary, and 2 16:9 (1920x1080) on the sides. How do I go get all screens to work ingame? I tried setting the resoultion in the config, but I'll only get one screen in game. Is there some other settings I need to change? -

Have you changed your start command line to include this mod? I can highly recommend useing a launch tool like Alpinestars mod launcher http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=6649, it makes running mods much easier.
