Anyone ever played this really addictive flash game? Its actually quite simple and effective. You basically have to chose either a virus, bacteria or parasite, then after building up evolution points you can add things to it to make it more deadly and spreadable. The basic aim of the game is to wipe out all life on the planet before countrys shut down shipyards and airports or the authorities find a cure. http://pandemic2game.com/ kudos for anyone who EVER manages to infect madagascar.

I was immune. All my friends and family including my wife and son who i was in close proximity of every day had it and i carried on unaffected. I will be the last man on earth, especially for some birds that used that excuse not to date me

What the hell happened to swine flu? For about 2 months it was like all over the news, tv, radio, newspaper etc... people where coughing up and dying left right and centre, then it just suddenly stopped? Anyhow, I think a newer better version of this game could come out where you could see your virus as a 3d representation and how it starts to look more aggressive over evolution.

you dont need to say it but you are on an arma forum so unless you are here to make friends and havent touched a copy of the game then i cant see how a simple flash game with no graphic images and no pictures of virus eaten people seems so bad. you seem to be constantly concentrating on the liver aspect of the game. I can only assume you have a personal reason due to a friend or family member suffering from liver damage, but this trait isnt something you have to use in the game (i never used it because it cost too many evolution points)there are other diesease traits that are much worse than liver faliure in this game, such as dementia, hermmorraging, cysts, boils, ataxia, heart faliure and more. But as stated by other people its just a game you cant take it too seriously. theres more of a chance of some deluded kid playing gta and going out to shoot up a schol rather than sitting in his bedroom and cultivating anthrax with his $10 chemistry set with the intention to wipe out the world

theres always one isnt there. Playing mother nature is wrong and sick, but playing a soldier to kill other people because the countries dont agree is perfectly fine. im failing to see where the arguement is
-
true but i also think the game has a subliminal message in the fact that wether we like it or not sooner or later a virus or bacteria in real life could do just that. Mother nature is a very dangerous thing, natural selection and survival of the fittest. The dinosaurs had their chance on earth until mother nature decided otherwise. It wouldn't take long before a mutated strain of MRSA or swing flu made the decision that our time had come. Its an interesting game and also slightly eductating. All the traits you can add to your virus are symptoms that come from real life viruses such as ebola, chollera, and other more deadly viruses. man made or natural, a rogue virus that is resistant to any medicine could be just round the corner and is probably the main threat on our planet to wipe us out. Scientists have always said forget nuclear war, meteors on collision curses with earth, global warming or destruction by aliens, the current main threat to mankind has always been an indestrucive virus just maturing and waiting to strike. its a scary thought but thats the way it is

think yourself lucky you havent played "shake a baby" on iphone. Seriously there is nothing graphic with this game theres no harm in it at all and it kind of makes a change to play a game where the object of the game isn't to save the world.

if your talking about the animated gif then yes. But only because i have played this game hundreds of times and anyone who else has will find that joke funny too

lol yes i dont know why but madagascar is a real nightmare to infect it really is. If there is a slight change of temperature or someone catches a cold in another country they go into uber quarrantine mode. So i deffinatly know where to go if theres ever an outbreak of zombie flu. I kept replaying and replaying til i got that damn country infected and i actually managed it, what i didnt notice was by the time i got madagascar infected, cuba had completely closed down its borders and avoided infection. Another thing to take note of is when you get reports of flooding, that is the best time to make your virus waterborne, it spreads like wildfire in that occupying country
-
yeah the parasite route is much slower to infect and takes longer to earn evolution points but it also has a better chance of spreading before the authorities realise its a problem. The key i have found is to try and make it infectable without being obvious. As soon as you make it more dangerous and deadly people close down transport routes quicker. So try to make it like an untreatable cold by upping the resistance to drugs then when enough countries get hit, then start making it more deadly

actually some of the lead somalis where british too. If you took time to watch the special edition 2 disc version and look at behind the scenes (which i found more interesting than the actual film) the somalion rebel leader was more cockney than danny dyer

probably going back a little further than you want, but damn how can you beat the proper old skool games? I used to be addicted to the old adventure games and still play them to this day monkey island monkey island 2 leisure suit larry 1-4 police quest 1-4 space quest 1-6 kings quest 1-6 conquest of camelot indiana jones and the fate of atlantis Innocent until caught Beneath a steel sky gold rush day of the tentacle maniac mansion full throttle the dig As you can tell theres a lot of old skool sierra and lucas arts games there. But seriously i have every one of those games now some require scumm soft to work others require dos box, and some have been reprogrammed to work with xp/vista/win7 and i tell you what if you where stranded on an island with a laptop and the above games you would be more than happy to play them for years until your rescue. The graphics cant beat todays graphics and some games go ack to like 1987 but damn, they had one thing modern games dont.... complete replayability, and a few weeks of playing to complete (without using guides) Anyhow anyone over 25 will definatly remember or know some of the above titles but you younger folk wont have a clue (im showing my age now) But i highly recommend going to try these out if you havent before

Hey I have played and replayed the manhatten mission over 30 times and only twice have i ever had the side mission pop up where you need to rescue the pilots. Can anyone tell me what triggers this objective to activate because i can never seem to get it back again

speaking of which you gotta love the arma medics. I never seen a single bandage, iv drip, syringe or scalpel to this day. All i see is some pervy dude in uniform and bandana completely molesting and rubbing down injured soldiers which i suppose in a real life situation is awesome. "you want the morphine? tickle tickle. what you gonna do? come on fight me off, ooooh a big wounded man, lets tickle you here and grope you here."

I am not sure if these features are covered or not but i thik that may be a VBS 2 thing. There comes a time in any game with an open engine that you get a line. Sometimes if you cross that line it no longer becomes a game, it becomes a war simulator. Some people may say, if you want it to be as real as it gets, then join the military or an airsoft group. I made a post that became a lenghy thread about having children in arma to enhance the realism and making more serious decisions about storming towns or calling in an airstrike. That thread had an equal amount of pros and cons. At the end of the day, arma (without the addons, mods and updates) is still probably one of the most accurate and realistic war games you can get without actually signing up for real. Its not a linear and strict one way to win an objective like other games. If your points were implemented into arma i would agree it makes it much better but again where do you draw the line? I can now say that if you went down the line and asked 10 random members of this forum to name 10 things they would like to see added to arma to make it more realistic and you would get 100 more things to add and it still wouldn't be close to being real. I remember back in the flashpoint days when me and my cousin where hardcore "resistance" gamers with our 1.95 patch and all the addons and mods it was capable of playing without making it unstable. I remember saying to my cousin "wouldn't it be awesome if you could jump on the back of a tank and drop a grenade into the hatch." And he said to me "that probably could be done with flashpoint because its so open ended, it just needs the right script, but i can think of many more practical extras to make the game better." But as i said you can script anything with arma if you know how but if you had 1000 realism extras added, i guarantee you someone will still ask for something that hasnt been done.

Im getting into this mission quite a bit now and I own half the towns on chernarus. I know that on the map that a blue marked town means i own it, a red marked town means an enemy owns it, but a couple of towns are marked green, who owns these?
-
yes you mean nagoyan (not the way his name is spelt but pronounced that way)

I liked hurt locker, I thought it was quite a good film. Some soldiers said it was an accurate portrayal of soldier life (as a bomb disposal) and others say its not accurate at all. I look at those comments and think every soldier fights his own war and no 2 soldiers are going to view war the same way. I mean would a combat medic say he has the same experience in war as a tank commander or a apache pilot? Not at all, some are begging their C/O to put them back in the fight while others are on the flight home crying and twitching in thir own piss. So i view the comments lightly, and unless someone makes a film where the majority of the film is soldiers doing guard/border control duty, overnight watch, checking the odd coke can in the road for ieds, dealing with the locals to win hearts and minds and having to check out an explosion that happened 3 blocks away, then people would find it a very boring film. Unfortunatly this very boring film is more of an accurate portrayal of a soldiers day to day activities than the non stop hollywood war of dodging bullets that the average US army soldier is suppost to fight every day.

Not a very optimistic thought really. I mean someone can fix and update anything if they know what they are doing. Take falcon 4 for instance. that game and its game engine should have died back in the 90's but to this day they have brought out hundreds of patches, updates and fixes and the game is still going stronger than ever

Im assuming this is a common problem or i am doing it wrong, but every time i try to open or merge any p3d file i always get this error "unable to load binarized version of p3d. mesh loaded into the editor is only known bounding box of the p3d model. you can see some properties in named properties window. oxygen will reject all requests to save this model into p3d to prevent you to destroy the file by mistake." I am trying to get character models into the program i get that error and am left with a empty box i have no idea what to do
