    I got everything working with ace and all that The medical stuff looks a bit confusing with what to use and what to carry. But Sick1 i have an idea on how to solve the rucksack problem. Just edit each mission and place ammo crates at the start point/drop off zone that way you can then load up and move on

    i dont have ace its not very clear on how to install or use it the armoholic page is packed top to bottom with info and it looks like too much hassle when can i get the campaign without ace?

  5. Sick1 I will second what lazerath is saying. I actually enjoy your campaigns more than the official bis one, because it has all the elements that i enjoy. Please don't stop. Would be awesome to have some intro outros with other voices and people talking to each other (I am more than happy to help with voicework if needed.) and then you have it all

    Thats really narrowed it down lol. I may have been a bit harsh with my previous post about this addon, but don't get me wrong I am looking forward to it quite a lot nothing quite beats an official bis campaign But i just hope ALL bugs are being fixed too. Especially the big ones that people have been complaining about since 1.1

    Its all well and good having a huge 1.05 update that will distract us with a new campaign and free apache (which you could probably get in the addon section of arma sites anyway) but what about some of the unfixed problems we are still waiting on for certain buggy missions and general stability of the game. Having a new campaign will more than likely open a new door of problems for unfinished and untested missions that get thrown out in the patch only for us to ask for a newer patch to fix problems in the new campaign. Remember, meeting deadlines and rushing games out doesn't always go in your favor and throwing in a patch with a new campaign to distract us again won't hold back the complaints for long when even newer problems arise

    So does that mean that the 1000's of 3d models you can get like f-18 hornets, bmw's coke cans buildings of landmarks are copyrighted and not allowed to be made? also i said the pivot point placing made the animating easier not the joints, which i am still tweaking

    after 7 months i have finished it. Added a History dependant IK solver and placed the pivot points correctly so it animates easily. Here it is http://www.vimeo.com/7883156

    The animation does look quirky and thats not because of my ability, but because of the rig and the joints (sliding joints included) it is VERY hard to animate

    use common sense and realise that a shotgun isn't a vaccine and is probably going to get you locked up for being mental while armed with a deadly weapon
  12. but if you are not aware that your commander is dead then why spread out to find the killer? Using a silenced weapon means stealth. If you went in with a machine gun then you will alert everyone to your presence. But just in real life if you are a sniper i a concealed position and you see a guarded target inside a tent. By taking him out quietly is a mission accomplished.

  18. I did love this one over the first game but i will 2nd that the last mission was kind of an anticlimax. Anyhow I have a few tips and solutions for some of the missions

    one feature i loved in ofp that doesn't work in arma is moving while in the map screen. If i had a lot of area to cover and had to run through bushes trees and all kinds of other stuff that would slow down fps i would change to the map screen and speed up the game but in arma your character stops and cannot move when in map screen

    there is already a mod that has this its called slx if you only want this feature keep slx_wounds.pbo and delete all the other addons

  23. The one thing that doesn't seem to make arma 2 complete is children. I can understand that it can be a gray area to add children into games like this but I think it cold be a good idea if used properly. I dont want to nuke them or watch them get blown apart (literally with slx) from an airstrike but adding them for ambient civillian life or even hostage situations could be good. Also it could be good for realism if there are missions where you have to laser designate a building but beware there is a school nearby etc... you get the idea

    a lot of people are saying they are awkward to make and animate and are generally a lot of work for the effort, but ever since the first addon for flashpoint came out there have been many what i would class as pointless and useless addons which must have taken a lot of effort and time to make but someone wanted to do it so they did
  25. would be nice to see this in arma 2. Especially if the OFDP optimized terrain and grass can be imported as well to make the game run just as smooth as DR
