I have uninstalled it and re-installed it, and still the same error message, can't i just find the .dll and manually put it in arma2 folder?

hi, very grateful, and excited about game demo. Downloaded demo a few times and it disappeared on completion, searched for it with no result! that must be taking up HD Space somewhere! Downloaded for 3rd time, and it appeared on desktop! tried desktop icon , no joy, 1ST time i ran it said it was corrupted try installing again with 7-zip, ,no joy after DL 7-zip and extraction. downloaded patch and ran it, just as a hunch, no joy. downloaded the direct x 9 patch etc, no joy tried desktop Arma 2 logo icon, error message: X3DAudio1_6.dll. ran as administartor etc , no joy.
