  1. I'm really enjoying this Mod. My only thought at this stage is the sounds used for the aircraft already included in the current version, are somewhat timid. The BF109 in particular, sounds like a wet fart after a heavy night of drinking.... So I've tended to use CSJ's addon TheFew. Which sound less wet :D or this great work though guys. This mod has been great to play.
  2. howdy Deadfast, just a quick question. Conceptually, what are the major differences between Multitask and Taskmaster2? Your work has a common context in terms of generating mission Tasks, but I'm thinking the approach is different? cheers
  3. One thought - once the trigger is deactivated.. will the sound (which I assume is a user defined file of any particular lenght) stop immediately on destruction of the object? My initial thought is no. Maybe this just doesn't require a solution anyway.

    [Alpha] RTE for ArmA II

Are you checking RTE's status once you have activated the RTE from within the editor preview? If you get the msg "RTE not connected" then I understand. From my little knowledge, the RTE application wont call out a connection just by starting the game. cheers

Why are you playing BIS games?

I use to once buy a PC title almost every week or so. OFP was a great SP game, ArmA killed it and MP, but ArmA2 rekindled my interest. I haven't bought another companies game title since A2. So... err.. thanks for saving me some serious bukko BIS...

    [OA] Seize zones Zargabad (SP)

hey stiff, i really enjoy your seize zones. Is there a way to disable the pop-ups that happen ingame, or better still implement a hint system which doesn't disrupt the flow of play? For myself I play your seize zones quite alot. The information was really useful as a new player, but I find as I know now know the rules of the game, the popups are more of a distraction. thanks

British Troops DLC released & Official 1.01 Update

I would certainly buy it if it was released as a disk, even if this meant waiting 12-18 months till enough DLC content could be put onto a disk, and I would certainly pay more given this as an option.
  10. Thats simply not true. There are reasons for changing or rebuilding core assets. Significant advances in commercial technology is just one.
  11. There are already much more sophisticated methods for addressing multiple commands in A2 and doesn't require a cumbersome radial command gui to be the fixer in any way.

New vehicule in the next patch wishlist

I think Mykes F16 is already a very cool addition to A2, http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=5900
  14. Damn! Now that would be a cool workplace.
  15. wow this is really impressive, and I'm 12 days late! I havent tried this yet, but has anyone tried translating or transforming the data and replaying it? I guess I'm basing this on the assumption the data is recorded trajectories or gestures against time? cheers

what new has been done / improved since 2001?

Say no more, and if you were to step off your pony Highness, and did a bit of research you may be able to find alot more gems. By the way, bugs are called features here. hawhaw. Offtopic :: for those that have played DCS shark, I don't entirely agree with the last point.

ARMA 2 (OA) : DLC discussion thread

Ok, I think its time to move past the fractious arguments of paid DLC aesthetics. We all have our likes and dislikes. I know I've certainly commented in this vain, but its not productive. Its not about questioning your motives for buying a particular game way back when it was introduced onto the market. Much like anything these days as a consumer you have the power of choice: If you like the idea of the DLC buy it, if you don't then don't. Besides, the community will always support the efforts of those, whether its from BI or that of a passionate member, regardless of aptitude. And the beauty of a community is that it can adapt quickly given the right tools and conditions. And stop treating BI like they're some baby company suckling on mummas swollen teat for the past 10years.
  18. You're referring to HoloMap for ArmA. Search the Ofpec forums for more details, but in application I don't think its really the required tool for battlefield replays.
  19. maybe something you could do within an Fsm if its a reoccurring behavior?
  20. phfff, ludicrous. and what is phfff anyway. The last statement was more a question and I didn't even use a question mark. In other words if you haven't anything positive to say... why even waste your time. Even though people are requested to write in engrish, there is no mention of it having to be grammatically correct... hurro? And anyway, I started a sentence with and, I was hoping to read a post about installin chopers. wink wink nudge nudge i say what hOrnk!

ARMA 2 (OA) : DLC discussion thread

well I'm not sure now since you've taken the quote out of context. you tell me after you've re-read the original reply. And anyway, what the hell is wrong volunteering your free time to do something you love?? for nothing??? You've touched on some elements which I have considered, and I agree in part with your points regarding MP integration. For me its not about the quality objects generated, its the realising of many high level conceptual implementations, such as the town generator, maybe Linda at some point... hopefully. That alone I find more engaging than yet another faction. So as I said, DLC for me does not get a look in.

ARMA 2 (OA) : DLC discussion thread

well please state the obvious here shall we? If your basing your statement purely on income, then sure, go for it. Money buys time as well... didn't you know? yeah..... neither was I. So lets not stuck talking about the aesthetics of "getting your money's worth" here... but enlighten me, just what is "enough"? Cause you certainly wouldn't want to feel like your being ripped off as you push that "add to cart" button... right?

ARMA 2 (OA) : DLC discussion thread

well stated, I wasn't really sure year it was. So I imagine its simply "put up or shut up" is it? The last thing I'd hate to see is DLC which replicates efforts of the community, which is outstanding. I wish developers do what they do best, develop a game full of discontinuities, bugs and glitches but work on realizing high level conceptual implementations such as we've seen with the development of the modules released with AA2 and OA. Paid DLC doesn't get a look in from my perspective.

    Cipher: Valleys of the Takiban

how very bizarre. Arma2+OA is a combined package. Maybe a bit of research is useful before you blabber uncontrollably on the forums. And I'm sure you'll find that community you speak of, you buy it separately and it comes boxed with its very own disclaimer that the user fills out themselves.
