I'm able to send the UAV to waypoints, but it cant hit the broad side of a barn. I flew it over to the large group of enemies and couldn't kill any of them because of the extreme inaccuracy, then it got shot down. Is there any way to make it more accurate?

Sometimes when I'm playing my guy will do a quick side-step but I cant figure out what causes it. I didn't see anything in the controls, I've tried double tapping left and right but that didn't work. Does anyone know what I'm talking about and how to do it?

Is it bigger or smaller than ArmA 2? It seems like ever since it came out the regular ArmA 2 servers have been less populated.

Thanks, my decision to buy it depended on the amount of people playing. Right now it seems about even with normal ArmA 2 so I think I'll get it.

Gamestop now has OA as "back ordered". Screw it I'll just buy Combined Operations.

Arrowhead is a standalone expansion, it doesn't require ArmA 2. You won't get all the original ArmA 2 content though. You can buy Combined Operations and have both ArmA 2 and OA, I think it's only 10 dollars more than if you bought OA by itself.

Yeah it's a feature. Didn't you know BIS added drug-induced hallucinations to the game? This is obviously the effects of smoke inhalation from a nearby poppy field burning.

That's weird. Hope it works out for you. I pre-ordered ArmA 2 at Gamestop only to go there the day of release and be told "I don't even see it in our system".

Where do you guys get the idea Gamestop changed the release to 7/6? Their website says it's already out (or at least available for shipping)

Is anyone else with a quad core and 64 bit OS still getting better performance using -winxp and -cpucount=4?

I edited to be more clear about what I meant. They already have American voice actors so why not use them for all Americans instead of having another person fake it.

Voice acting is a lot better and the stupid robotic "ENEMY! MAN! 500! METERS! To our...NORTH!" has been cut down to something more bearable. I don't get why some American voices still sound like someone from a European country trying to make an American accent though. They have American voice actors so why not use them for all American characters. It also sounds weird that the British, Czech and German troops all have the wrong accents. Overall the expansion improves ArmA 2 a lot, but I'm one of the people getting worse performance at the same settings. Weird thing is the only bad performance for me in normal ArmA 2 are the red/orange trees. In OA the vegetation runs better but there is mysterious stuttering and slowdowns even when I'm in a barren area.

I reinstalled the game today and applied patch 1.7. Whenever I try joining a server I can get to the screen where you choose your class, but after that it starts to load the map and the bar will just sit there, sometimes at 25%, sometimes at 75%. If I leave it I get kicked back to the server browser. I made sure I was joining servers running 1.7 with no mods. I never had this problem in the past, does anyone know how to fix it?

Higher 3d res makes the game run worse than AA for me. It also looks worse too. No AA, 100% 3d res - 60 fps Normal AA, 100% 3d res - 53 fps No AA, 133% 3d res - 32 fps

I never buy DLC and I certainly wont for a game that already has a ton of mods. Maybe in the next game BIS will take the Creative Assembly approach: give no modding capability and start pumping out crappy $DLC

I cant join any servers with 1.07. I can get to the role/class selection screen, but when I continue the loading screen gets to 75% and hangs until it kicks me back to the server browser. No error message pops up. I'm joining vanilla servers with no mods so I know that isn't the problem. Adding -exthreads=1 doesn't help. -edit- nevermind I reinstalled, this time instead of going 1.00-1.07 I went 1.00-1.05, then 1.05-1.07. I can join servers now.

What do you put for cpucount if you have a quad core? 4?
