Not trying to start a console vs pc debate here as you have said, my main question is though, if arma 2 won't come out on the 360, then why? Obviously, one of the big reasons would be hardware, considering how much trouble most pc's are having with the game, which resulted in my rrod comment from the previous page. The 360 is having issues keeping up, although they are apparently trying to fix that.

Eh, neither, just a realist. Truth hurts sometimes ya know. BTW, I own a 360, 2 of them in fact. Arma2 would just be much better on the pc, I would compare it to most RTS's these days, consoles are just inadequate.

Or, "Arma2 will RRoD the 360, time to upgrade that PC :P"

What's you internet conn. like? What about ping to the server? Notice, i did not try it, I just saw it going on. Even if it doesn't work now, in a year or two it could. Again, what other game can say this?

Word of mouth works the other way as well though. I showed the game off to 3 of my friends this weekend, and told them about the negative points, but they were all impressed and interested in playing the game (though none had the pc's to run it). I think that once the dust settles, Arma 2 will come out for what it is, an awesome platform with for mods with the potential for a great multiplayer system. Just this weekend I saw a server that had 128 out of 128 players on it, what other game can boast that?

I am definitely all for this, especially the Eastern Front scenario. I too am bored of WW2 games, but I think the Arma 2 engine would really bring this to life and give us a whole new side that most games cannot. Imagine starting out as a lowly tank commander and slowly working your way up as the war goes on around you.

That could be an issue with the gpu. Unfortunately at this point the game doesn't seem to support dual card gpu's or sli well, you might have to do some tweaking to get it working properly.

Well, he wasn't exactly playing it right though. I'd like to see him once he got the hang of it.

You could get newer parts for the same price, such as a pII 720 BE and 4870. That stuff is last gen.

Not too hard to imagine, we'd be playing Cod4 and BF2 combined.
