Input out of range error?...
blackettle replied to Usmc_Vandam's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
You should be able to right click the file name, then select "Open With...". Choose Notepad from the resulting dialog to open the file for editing. After making changes, simply save it using the option from the File menu of Notepad. -
Input out of range error?...

It is my guess that the refresh rate is the reason. -
Input out of range error?...
blackettle replied to Usmc_Vandam's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
I did not realize refresh rate was an option in-game, but if you say so it must be true. The location of the config file will depend on if you are running XP or Vista. In XP I believe it is in c:\Documents and Settings\yourusername\Documents\Arma2 Demo\ and vista it is in c:\Users\yourusername\Documents\Arma2 Demo I am not %100 sure as I am going by memory. Feel free to lynch me if incorrect. -

I am not sure this will work, but worth a try. By default the refresh rate is set to 75Hz in the ARMA2 config file. Try changing it to 60 and see what happens. -
Armed Assault II very slow on nVidia GeForce 7100 (although using SLI)
blackettle replied to aymnahmd's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
For starters the 7100 is below the minimum requirements. -

Hmmm... could someone tell me what this means?

Out of curiosity, why did you turn it off? -
Firingsqaud demo benchmark highlight serious problems with ARMA2 & some Highend cards

Well before plastering your own brains to the wall, be sure and FedEx the 2 cards to me. -
DID NOT KNOW ABOUT limited SecuROM activations
blackettle replied to hannibal636's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
Apparently. I would like to have the retail version, but for this very reason I will not buy it. -

Why is this not available from nvidia.com? -
Severe problem with mouse acceleration and video lag!
blackettle replied to ExA-Blade's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
If your mouse is moving by itself, your house might be haunted. If you mouse cursor is moving around a bit rather than standing still as it does in BF2, then you should be aware that this is intentional. -
It can be changed in the demo also.

Vista or Windows 7 Seriously which performs better?
blackettle replied to Henry Rollins's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
How about you try it and let us all know. -
This is handled perfectly by my brain deciding to move the mouse and then actually moving the mouse.
-
In my opinion, the mouse is just fine when shooting. However, I wish the "mouse lag" could be toned down a bit when I am turning my head to look around (detached from weapon) as it seems that my head takes a bit to start turning after I move the mouse and continues moving a bit after I stop moving the mouse.

I should spend more time reading about windows and less time masturbating. -

How large it the virtual address space for a 32bit process on a 64bit version of Windows? -
2047mb RAM limitation, possible solution
blackettle replied to Ezdaroth's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
A 32 process has 4GB of virtual address space. If you have some documentation stating that windows only gives a 32bit process 2GB of virtual address space I would like to read it. -
I also have an i7 Asus motherboard (P6T6 WS Revolution to be exact). I was getting BSODS in ArmA2 also, but a slight adjustment in my memory voltage in the BIOS cured it.

I think it is closer to 2^32 ~ 4GB is it not? -
I think only BI can help us now.
blackettle replied to wazandy's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
I think he is talking about the fact that your hardware configuration could be a problem. I was getting blue screen crashes while playing Arma2. I adjusted my memory voltage a bit, and not one blue screen since. -
Observations with i7's Multithread

I did not say it did. I was indicating that I have no CTD while playing the game. -

I get about 5 more FPS with HT left on with a stock speed i7 920. The only CTD I have had is when switching "profiles". -
