Is it possible to permanently alter the weapon status (eg. Zero range and fire mode) of the weapons in arma 2 OA? For instance, changing the AKS's default zero range to 100m, so every time you pick it up it starts at 100m not 300m (which is it's default) Or changing the PDW's fire mode to Automatic rather than single shot every time you pick one up. I see this issue isn't exactly the same as mine (although it's just as annoying). Yours: When in combat, you change to a grenade or launcher and then back to your primary weapon, you have to cycle through the fire modes Mine: When respawning or even starting the game up again, every time you have certain weapons, they are defaulted at a particular zero or fire mode. I'm wondering if it's possible for just for me to change my config so that certain weapons start with different fire modes/zero ranges.

Ok, I have completed and saved a mission, I used the Urban Patrol Script. It loads up in the editor ok because I have the UPS.sqf file in the mission editor folder along with: mission.sqf, init.sqf, briefing.sqf (these are needed for the debrief and tasks). Now when I save my mission as User Mission in either MP or SP it saves a pbo file as intended, but when I load the mission in scenarios or MP, it still requires UPS.sqf; (also debrief and objectives don't show). My question is, how do I make the save, save not only the mission, but the scripts with it in the pbo file as well? -
Funny story.... I was in warfare and I building ZU AA emplacements on hill tops, so a US player (my enemy) lands his little bird near my repair truck to blow it up; so i ran into his tail rotor and broke his heli so he couldn’t take off again :D. He killed me shortly after though :(

oh oh i have one! Running/sprinting into a little bird anti-torque causes it to have engine and anti-toqure failure. *I already now the answer BTW ;)*

I think this patch fixes this issue now. I am impressed at the speed in which the bug was posted, and then until a beta patch was released with a fix. "[72188] Fixed: crew getting killed in vehicles driving from hill/slope" -
how come mine was much darker? Is it the ULB?

ArmA II : Blurry graphics and text

Screen definitions! idk what it's called in-game but it's abbreviated with percentages of your screen resolution (eg. 100%, 125% ...ect). As these are increased the picture becomes a lot smoother and generally looks nice with fewer sharp edges, due to pixels causing mini squares at edges. But what happens for me is that it causes blurriness in extreme cases. At 125% I feel that it shows the best image; it may change for different screens and people though. EDIT: 'No Use For A Name' referred to it as "3D-resolution", this is what it could be called in-game -

So this is what is causing this! It is common for me to die like in warfare mode as I usually either buy a wheeled APC to carry my troops, or use repair trucks to create AA emplacements in the game mode. This causes me to die for no reason (I thought it could be one-hell-of-a good sniper shot by AI), and I have to buy another vehicle to drive back to the old one miles away, wasting my time and my in-game money. But now I know other people have this too, I hope it's fixed quickly. -
I destroyed his SUV before he was in it. Then about 3mins after i saw him run from the bushes near his villa to his wrecked SUV. Then I shot him about 25 times :D
