I have been trying to create a script for random pistols upon respaws for a deathmatch multiplayer map. For some reason i cant get mine to work and i keep spawning with nothing at all. Can someone create a basic random pistol respawn script or point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance.

Ok i downloaded from steam. Done and Done. However when i start the game i get " Bad Serial Number Given at Startup". WTF i got this off steam! Could this have to do with the fact that i have the demo?

This guy ( ) has some good vids he made on youtube. He said he was using people parachuting to get footage of plane flybys and other random stuff. Iguess you just gotta be creative, but this game is ready for some machinima.

Why doesnt someone find a decent server, and post it here so we can all get on tonight? It would be appreciated. BTW I did notice at least one pro server that was open to up to 64 players. What is the max uve seen?

If u have an xbox 360 controller layin around, that is what i generally do on games if i can. And it works quite well with Arma 2. It also has a nice custom menu to bind certain keys to other keys- for multi functionality. Mapped my zoom to one of the shoulder buttons and its perfect for lookin out the side real fast.

I cannot believe how well this game plays on my system!!!! I got quad e6600, gtx 260 oc'd, 4gb mixed but nice, and standard hdd, all on cheap gigabyte mobo. Nothin really that spectacular with my specs, but damn i can put almost everything, but anti-aliasing, on very high. The demo is soooo fun. Mission editor on the demo FTW!!! Sorry if i sound crazy, but ive been playin for like 6 hrs or so. Havent tried multiplayer tho, your impressions of multi???

I am very happy to say that it has only crashed once, within 2 minutes of installing the game. That was when i maxed out the settings to see how i could do. I have played all day and not a single more crash, and i can say it plays sooo wel on my system, and i do not have the greatest system int the world. But I attributtede the crash i got to setting the Anti-Aliasing on high - or very high, cant remember tho. I also went into the Nvidia settings for each individual game and put Texture Filtering for Arma 2 Demo on high performance, instead of high quality. That may help-has for past games. Then i OC'd my grphx card and this is one beautifull game i can say! Best of luck PM me if i can help.

Maybe increase page file virtual memory?

Ok dont re install i think i figured it out. You need an update that updates audio files from the old dx 9 that still run. L:ooks like this guys got an E7300 2.66 @ 3.2 with 4GB RAM and 9800GT 1000mb, and its runnin pretty well for the mass count hes got goin. Not sure what the draw distance is, but looks good. Also its at night, and if i remember correctly, night battles on Arma were more system intensive, anyone know if this is the case on ARMA 2? Thanks in advance

Hello, I am new to these forums, but not to forums in general. I have come accross this Ritchiespeedisback on youtube and will agree that his videos are what made me aware of Arma 2 and have surely influenced my decision to buy this game. I dont knowe if free things are what he should get, but some acknowledgement is always nice. ;) In my honest opinion, this whole community needs thanks for the support it gives to the modding and editing community, and of course Bohimia Interactive deserves the most thanks for creating a game with the open editing resources they give us, and active support they give us.
