I also have an ultrawide with 5120x1440 32:9 and followed your advice. Sadly I cannot say that it brought me any luck.

I did change my VideoUserSettings to 2560 by 1440 but it seems like that it does not reflect these settings ingame

Is there anything else I can try?

Edit: turns out for your advice to work you actually have to go into:

    My Games\ArmaReforger\profile\.save\app1874880_user[SteamID64]/ReforgerEngineSettings.conf

You're indeed right that my path wasn't complete. I've checked again and for me the config is located "%USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\ArmaReforger\profile\.save\app1874880_userxxxxxxxxxxxxxx\settings\ReforgerEngineSettings.conf" where the x's are my SteamId.

  2. Did you make sure that the game itself has the right volume (settings can vary per application)? You can check by right clicking on the volume icon and select "Open Volume Mixer". In the popup you can see what the volume is for all active applications.

  3. This is the troubleshooting section so i presume you're in the right place ;).

You can try to validate your game file to see if there's a corrupt file. (right click on your game in the library, select properties, then click on Installed File and press the "Verify integrity of game files" button).

If that doesn't work, remove your profile settings from the "My Games\ArmaReforger" folder and try again.

    Hello,

I have an ultrawide 32:9 5120*1440. First thing that surprised me, there is no fullscreen option in the menu only borderless window and window. Is this normal?

Currently even by going down to 3840*1080 I get poor performance with low settings. Apparently, I don't have the option to choose a format narrower than 32:9 because in borderless you only have the "render scale" setting available and windowed mode doesn't offer any resolution using the entire height of my screen.

As of DX12 Microsoft has replaced fullscreen  with borderless fullscreen. Fullscreen exclusive mode does not exist in DX12 anymore.

Did you check the config file for the resolution (My Games\ArmaReforger\profile\.save\ReforgerEngineSettings.conf)?

Edit : Can I maybe force download using the mod ID ? And if somebody that already have these mods send me the mod's folder, will it works ?

Copying an existing mod folder could work. I've had mods that were canceled (or stopped) still working locally while not being available in the workshop. I'm not sure if this will work multiplayer however, but you can always try with a locally hosted dedicated server.

  6. I'm not sure if you meant that the left is different from the right but, just to be sure, this is the illumination which many optics have as a mode (a little overdone in this case)?
I guess that anything to do with lighting alterations could be the cause (like darker nights)?

  7. What is it exactly that does not work? There are two different options for aiming:

    - Hold to aim (keep key pressed for aiming)

    - Toggle aim (press once to turn on and press again to turn off)

I can change the aim toggle (hold) option to any key available (incl. mouse button 2 - right mouse button). Check if the user control file (InputUserSettings.conf) isn't set to readonly. This file can be found in your \My Games\ArmaReforger\profile\.save\settings\ folder.

If you want to remove the keybinding from the toggle, select the aim toggle and press R to remove the keybind.

  8. You have to add the mod to your Workbench launcher. Just click on Add Project and browse to to folder containing the addons.proj from Kumar.

Then when you right click on your own new project, you can select Open with Addons, at which you should be able to select Kunar as an additional addon.

  9. I saw your ticket in the feedback (T177785). Perhaps adding the dxdiag output and crash logs could help the developers a bit further.

The 0xc0000005 error unfortunately is a very common error which has to do with memory (or files) being unable to read/write.

    Other thing to try:

    - Run steam and/or Reforger as an Administrator

    - Disable any overclocking

    - Set all Reforger specs to lowest settings

    - I assume you've rebuild the config file on your re-install, but if not, remove the config entirely.

    - Start without BattleEye (ArmaReforgerSteam.exe)

  10. Hi Vafana,

While in most cases that is correct, I've experienced that it's not always the case. Sometimes programs tend to do stuff differently than what's normal behaviour.

As I said, it's something worth to check for good measure.

I have seen that there's an similar error on the feedback site T164891

Besides that, could you add the following:

    - Reforger log files

    - Windows application/system event log containing entry around the time of crashing.

    - What OS version, firewall, virus scanner or vpn are you using?

    This would help. 🙂

  11. Good to see you've got it working.

The shortcut method should work as well. Because of spaces within the path you have to use quotation marks in the command-line options as you know. But they have to be in the right place.

So the Target field should contain something like this:     "E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Arma Reforger\ArmaReforgerSteam.exe" -AddonsDir d:\DownloadedMods -addonDownloadDir d:\DownloadedMods

    Leave the starting folder as-is.

I understand the process but when i right click on ArmaReforgerSteam and click properties i can't change the line on the path in the general tab

You can make a separate shortcut as Janez has opted. If you want to use steam, you have to add these parameters in the Launch Options (to be found on the General Tab -> right-click on ArmaReforger ).

Or is that what your problem is?

  13. UPnP is an automatic way to setup open ports and such which can help to have battleye connect to the (battleye)server. From a security standpoint people sometimes advice to turn it off, because it can make it easier for trojan program to find a way to the internet. So it's really a trade-off.

The battleye site has the following answer to the connection error:

"This can happen if the server’s or your connection times out for quite a while or breaks up completely. A common solution is to update your modem/router’s firmware. Also, make sure that you aren’t running “Cucusoft Net Guard” which is incompatible with BE. Other than that, please ensure that there are no problems with your internet connection (you might want to contact your ISP)."

Do you use any other VPN or proxy software which could be incompatible with Battleye?
