If you're talking about the ingame voip, it's probably set up badly. If your mic is cutting out and quiet then it sounds like the input volume is set too low and the "noisegate" is not allowing the signal through. If you shout into the mic do you cut out? Turn up the gain on your microphone input. Profit.

Check the assignments for banking. I have a force3d pro with the rudder mapped to the twist axis, I have never had the aircraft bank when I apply the rudder. There is an assignment for "left pedal, right pedal" under the aircraft controls, try that. -
Failpost. This isn't the "to dlc or not to dlc" thread and also that argument has been done to death. So far BIS record on DLC is 50/50 so we'll wait for the next one whatever it is to see if they get it right again. All that said I would love to see a full standalone expansion this year with a new region and new/updated opfor.

Arma2 Aircraft Damage

We've said before in another thread that there should be a dlc that improves flight physics. Problem is that until the 102X102 maps start arriving there isn't really any terrain out there suitable for "proper" plane action. I completely agree with some of the op, guns should be a seperate button not a menu item. On a stick the guns should be the trigger and "release" should be under the thumb... I think anyway. The damage model should be improved definately so that you can get a wing shot off or engine damage (also the a10 is far too lightly armoured, I'm pretty sure you can't make the pilot bleed by shooting the cockpit with smallarms). The AA weapons locking on to ground targets is a bit different. While I don't claim to be an expert on air weapons, the Sidewinder uses infra-red to lock onto heat sources and doesn't distinguish between airborne or ground based targets... Early models of the same missile even used to decide the sun was a valid target. -
It's realistic to be able to fix one if required to. That is all.

I'm unsure how steam arranges the files if you install CO. You need to run the Arma2OAserver.exe file with the arma2 addons folder defined as a mod. -

FPDR The best thing is to upload the addons folder from Arma2 and put that whole folder (not just the contents) into the Operation Arrowhead folder on your server. When you start the server up it will see that folder and use all the .pbo files inside. You will then have a combined operations server. Don't mess about with copying pbos into silly places, just do the whole addons folder. -

As a server admin I can say with a high degree of certainty that the best deterrant to hackers would be the ability to do a pin-point geographical trace on the offender's IP address. -
It is a bit daft that we don't have them tbh. If anyone else says "they're not used in modern combat" then I'll point you to the guys in my squad who have only recently left the army that will tell you you're talking bollocks. Give us bayonets, they don't like it up 'em.

Yes they should make this but as a proper SOCOM addon and only if: We can have all the supporting assets like the spectre and the Combat Talon etc. We can have proper breaching and cqb improvements. Firing from vehicles. Custom weapon configurations (every possible combination of optics, silencer, nade launcher etc) to allow operators to have their own personalized kit. Abseiling from buildings and helicopters as engine improvement. UK SAS and SBS units added to BAF faction.

The Steam version is a pain in the backside if you want to use community content. You also have to wait longer for the patches than everyone else.

What if CryEngine was used as Arma 3 future engine?

This. I only recently acquired the hardware to run the graphics on max and I can say with some confidence that they look far far better than any iteration of cryengine. If the animations were a little smoother it would be absolutely perfect but that's a little niggle. Next person to say "I want ragdoll" gets reported to the CIA as a Wikileaks source. -
The Reapers are probably going for Earth because the Humans are responsible for stopping their invasion in ME1 and then screwing up the creation of a new Reaper in ME2 thus drawing their attention. Alternatively the attack on Earth could be a way to get Shepherd involved as they seem a bit fixated on getting hold of him. I'm really looking forward to ME3, ME1 was just a fantastic game on every level. Sure the actual design of the missions could have done with some work but the story was told very well. ME2 didn't seem that good to start with but picked up after a while... I might have to play through the whole thing again so I can bone the dirty bird on the engineering deck.

Shame but unsurprising. Less and less people are watching shows on TV any more, especially sci-fi. Also SGU started so badly that it was never really going to grab enough interest.
