    Custom reload gestures

I have that in there. What I meant was how do I change the gesture to the one I made? Oh and by the way, thank you for replying, I didn't think I'd receive one this fast! :)

    Custom reload gestures

Sorry for resurrecting this thread, but can someone explain these a bit? Where does that code go into? (http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/A...oad_animations <--- the one shown here) To the config CPP? I have ugly, test reloadanims set up for my rifle add-on. How do I change the reloadaction from the standard "MXReloadgesture" to the one made by me? Where do I put in, which reloads to use when crouched, standing or prone? The rifle is working in the editor, but I am forced to use the MX reload animation for now, and I've been looking around to see any tutorials, or information regarding my issue, but I couldn't find any. Can you help?
  3. Hello! This is my first WIP thread. I'm a novice modeller and I never made any weapons, so what you will see is the work of a beginner. Well, actually, beginners, since I'm lucky to have a father and a brother who enjoy playing this game, and help me out with the modelling part (steady flow of beer, snacks, words of encouragement and sometimes small tasks or parts of a model). I wanted to make a G36C pack for a long time now, since I never really found an add-on(pack) which had a few mods on the G36C. So, last week, I finished the bigger half of my university exams, I installed BI tools, got my P:\ drive ready, made a large pot of coffee, got my favorite music collection running, and started this small project. Since then, a week passed and this is what I have so far: It's probably not much, but hey, it's one week's work! The main reason I made this thread is to ask questions and to be able to receive tips and advice on how to create specific parts (if given of course), since most of the time, I have to work from pictures posted on airsoft sites and forums. I'm not sure how will the pictures show up to you guys, for some reason my PC compresses every screenshot I make, so the pictures might look a little tight, but in O2, it looks fine for me. If you can give me any advice on how to get my pictures right (without loss of quality), let me know. Now, here comes the first question: Do I have to make the trigger and the magazine separately or part of the rifle (you know what I mean)? Future plans: Optics (ACOG, Red Dot maybe Holo?) Grip, Under barrel grenade launcher (it is possible to attach a grenade launcher to the G36C right?) Before I forget: I would like to ask you not to feature these on any ArmA related sites (Armedassault.info, Armaholic.com etc.), until I finish these add-ons. Thank you!
  4. Hey guys, exams are over, and the time has come for another update! So, what do you think? Suggestions?
  5. Wow, thanks guys! I've been busy with exams again, another few sessions await me, so work has been slow. I've finished the mag so far, texturing is next, then the config. Will update after the exam. Thanks again!
  6. @Raptor 6 Actual: Hehehe, don't worry, every input is good for me. @Messiah: Well, currently, I'm not too worried, because I'm at 4949 faces, and I don't think the magazine and the trigger will take up more than 1k (max). I'll try to stick around 7k though, thanks! Can you explain to me what do you mean by "floating parts"? They're not connected to the model?
  7. @Raptor 6 Actual: I like you idea, will look into hidden selections. Thanks! @skiline5: Will fix the pictures, and you'll be able to see how they look in Buldozer.
  8. These models are absolutely beautiful! I was just thinking when would someone get us back to the good ol' BDUs, DCU, and M16/M4s without a Coca-Cola machine attachment! Keep up the good work buddy!
  9. Hello! Sorry for the late post, I've just found out about these models, AsSnipe73: can you upload them please?

VME PLA MOD for ARMA II

The only problem I have is that the creator(s) of the trailer "took" a part of my intro in a mission and implemented it in their video. Download my mission and check it out. Just pointing it out (DaKa is my username at OFPEC, and this is NOT AN ADVERTISMENT). It hurts a bit you know... Here's a link: http://www.ofpec.com/missions_depot/index.php?action=details&id=211

    [CAMP/COOP] Day of NAPA

I can help you with the translation part if you want. I am a native Hungarian, living in Transilvania, so I understand everything. ;) I'm a huge fan of your work too! :P
  13. One thing I don't understand is this hate coming from the ArmA community for run-and-gun games. Come on people, why the hate? Most of those players never heard from the ArmAverse! You can't change people's tastes. If one likes COD or BF3 or Dragon Failing, and think that is realistic let them be. I get tired of seeing this hate from the ArmA community everywhere I see a post, a video (or something) concerning ArmA or the ArmAverse. As some of you guys said, those who can't adapt to this game will slowly abandon, and those who can stick, will stay. Same goes for the Day-Z community. I saw several hate posts on their forums and honestly, I am appaled by this lack of respect for the new players. Remember, that YOU were once a greenhorn and even YOU felt the steep learning curve. But you stayed even if you whined and cried a lot. Remember, one shall receive respect based on one's performance and level of maturity. It should be earned, not demanded. We all had trouble with idiots on our servers before, and we will keep having untill someone steals the Internet. :P I for one am very happy that BIS is getting the attention they deserve. I am a happy customer of theirs, and as long they keep me happy with their products, I will be a loyal customer. Same goes to the forums. No need to worry about being filled with a bunch of whiners and idiots, because the moderators will keep them in check IF needed. So stop worrying about "ArmA losing what it means to be" or something like that. It is a mod, and if you don't like it, don't play it. This goes to all the haters and whiners.

What languages do you know or want to know.

Wow, interesting read! My mother tongue is Hungarian, I also speak English (fluently, although I have some grammar issues when I'm tired or when I wake up and talk to someone -obviously in English), I am still in the learning process in German, I understand and speak Romanian, I want to learn Spanish, French and Italian. If you guys want to have a challenge, start learning in Hungarian! :P

    Remaking models

This may be a stupid question, but are (or could) there any legal issues one might face if one remakes one or more game models from a game to another? For example if I would really be interested on how would Batman from Batman Arkham Asylum (for example) would look like in the ArmAVerse, and I'd take a few hundred pictures and "remade" the model ingame use? Would that model be safe to be made available for the public (so to speak)?

    Remaking models

Well, I intend to remake the marines from Crysis(s). I think that their futuristic look should look good in ArmA2 or maybe ArmA3. I have the game and the sandbox editor which makes it really easy for me to take a couple hundred screens on their equipment and looks (not to mention their textures). I, in no way, intend to port the models directly, I just simply wish to remake them. Maybe with their Scars too. It is not that I don't like realistic looking units... it's just that I am tired of seeing the same equipment redone again. So, in short, I shouldn't have any problems as long as I acknowledge that these models are not my intellectual property, as I merely remade them to another game.

    Remaking models

Batman was just an example which came in my mind since my brother was playing it right next to me. :P I have soldier characters, weapons in mind which are in other games with the thought on recreating them in ArmA. Of course I realize that if it's too similar I might get the mighty copyright zombies eat my brains for breakfast (mainly with this ACTA poo), but how can one contact a company to ask permission for example, when one can't find even a support e-mail address on their website?
  19. Landmine

    Remaking models

Yep, not a port, a whole new model, which looks just like the one in-game. What about changes to the original model, for example camouflage (of course with the "intellectual properties belong the their respective owners" tag)? Thank you guys.
  20. I believe that the sound shouldn't be such a bigish problem like some of you guys think. It's just not a big priority (in my oppinion). Besides (for all those huge fanatics) if you want realistic sounds, get your ass behind a tank and start recording from several possible positions, situations, locations, and send it to BIS. P.S.: Don't take this the wrong way, I love you guys!
  21. Not sure if it was posted, but animated emplacement positions would be nice! I don't remember at which game I saw, but I saw jeep gunners crouching down, when they are aiming at the sky and "standing on their toes" when aiming downwards, not to mention when the vehicle was moving on a harder terrain, you could see the gunners hang on the weapons. Not much of a biggie, and maybe only SP compatible, but small things like this can really make an experience.
  22. If I may correct you dga: The command line is: this SetGroupID ["HQNAME"] Don't forget the brackets! If you need anything else, and if I can help, let me know. ;)
  23. Hello all! I am having trouble with a mission I created/converted a while ago. If you guys know VBS1, then after you download this mission, you will find it pretty obvious that the mission I just uploaded is the TRAP mission from VBS. I found that mission very entertaining, and thought it would look great in ArmA 2. I converted it, made some modifications, but the ending trigger is somehow not working. I have uploaded it, so you guys can download it and check it out, maybe post some help/solutions on how to fix it. (If it is illegal to convert missions from VBS1/modifiy it, let me know and I will delete this post). The mission is using the CWR2 modification and the Moschnyi Island add-on from Jakerod. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=9LZOXEIE Thank you guys, I am waiting for your input! P.S.: The whole thing is still beta, but the briefing is done, so you should know what to do, where to go.
  24. I want friggin' sharks with friggin' laser beams attached to their head! Other than that, it's interesting to read your ideas guys, and I tend to agree with Zacho: those grenade launchers would be a cooler addition IMHO.
