Well I finished my upgrade today, I now have AMD 9850 Ati Radeon 4890 1GB Clocked to 920Mhz core and 4400Mhz ram 4Gb Ram Windows 7 64 Bit I upped my settings to High/very high and in the editor my FPS with 5-6 squads fighting went to 50-75 steady - so far soo good! In the campaign in the first big mission where you have to find the guy (no spoilers!) as soon as I enter the first city it drops to 20-30 fps! I dont know what the heck is causing the slow up, aside from buiying an i7 My spec cant go much higher :(

Based on this thread ive now bought an Ati 4890 1Gb and a Phenom X4 9850. Hoping to see a massive jump over my 5000BE clocked to 3Ghz and 8800GTS 512 ;)

My current spec.... Athlon 64 X2 5000+ Black edition clocked to 3GHZ per core 4GB DDr2 dual channel RAM Nvidia 8800 GTS 512 slightly clocked Arma runs ok on "normal" settings and great on lower settings IM planning to upgrade to this setup in the next day or 2... AMD Phenom X4 9850 Black - will be clocked or my watercooling is a waste :D Nvidia GTX 260 216Core - dont think I will need to clock this I may add 4gb of ram but im not sure its worth it. Will I see "High" settings and decent frame rates in arma now? Cheers! Tom
