  3. Seems you are correct. I did patch over RC1 and content stays low quality. I will apply my 1.60 backup today and re-patch with RC2. Thanx for clearifying.
  4. This seems to be an error in the island config of Tora Bora. I get something similar with other missions on this island when leaving/ending a mission with custom scripts regularly. Doesn't seem to have any influence on functionality though.

  6. Hi, looking really forward to test out this mission. Because you asked for some advice: use the resources at hand, the editor. Only use custom stuff if you can't get things working or looking you want without it. Don't make the mission depending on custom addons, because you will loose a lot of your audience. UPS is very good for randomizing AI patrols but it's also very demanding on performance. Use it wisely. CBA is a must have anyway nowadays, since almost every addon uses it.

  8. Yep, mine too. World parameter does not work for Desert. -world=Desert or -world=desert results in -world=empty. Utes and Zargabad works though.

  10. DMR is ArmA II equipment. Ranging was introduced in OA.
  11. Behind Warfare is not only the module but a very large and complex script package. To get a feel for the structure and an idea of how it works you may read up a little on the BIKI. Tho this page is for original warfare in ArmA I, the structure and principle didn't change that much. You may then de-pbo the warfare2.pbo in ..\Arma2\Addons\ dir and look at the actual structure and scripts.
  12. A lot of the sniper scopes are off more or less; this goes for zeroing and for magnification. L115 rifles are also on the list. Additionally some of the ACOG/RCO type of combat scopes are off in regards to zeroing, magnification and bullet drop indication: G36 series, Spectre on the MK17. The problem is in the configs (mostly) and in the models.

  16. It comes on 2 DVDs if you buy the boxed version. Can't say about the downlod version. Installs are separate just like the original games.
  17. Malfunction of Warfare on Chernarus (Warfare II) since 94444, persistent in 94700, as described here and here. CIT ticket #36504. No errors in RPT. Beta 94364 runs fine.

    This one is persistent too. It just happened somewhere in the middle of gameplay without any noticeable trigger. RPT is "clean", just the usual audio related errors ...
  19. OMAC, that's a mission specific glitch. In Badlands or Dogs Of War, both Warfare based missions, the standard USMC weapons are not configured in the mission settings. The bluefor camps/city centers/factories are CDF. Therefore your M4A1 "vanishes" into thin air if you try to buy ammo for it. The bug ryan80 reported is a totally different cup of tea.
  20. The Razer is a keyboard, sort of. Just fully programmable with multiple layers and for the left hand to be used in combination with a mouse.

  22. I got some weird behavior in Warfare on Chernarus with this beta. After eliminating the red base there were still some rogue reds left on the map. After those were eleminated I lost lost all my strongpoints/camps in one moment and they turned red. HQ anounced those camps lost accompanied by a lot of lag. I replayed that mission from the start twice, allways the same behavior. After rolling back to 94364 and restarting that mission everything went normal. Maybe someone can confirm anything alike in 94444?
  23. So, that damn vertikal movement in vehicles didn't let me rest ... I played around a lot but what pushed me in the right direction was OMAC's comment here: Actually it is not bound to the difficulty but to the crosshair option. Disable the crosshair in veteran for instance and the vertikal freelook is gone. I thought I let you guys know.
  24. Analogue movement may be superior to the keyboard but ain't essentially needed. Having every function you need at your fingertips without searching is worth it. Having even a second layer of controls for vehicle combat at a keypress is really relaxing ... :) But you know, it's a matter of personal preference.
