I love most those crates with collision fx.

Indeed. Remember that this game is not "Exclusive for BIS forum loiterers" but it needs to be sold to the masses as well. Bring on the charlatans and yer gimmicks I say!

Did Arma2 makes you discriminate other FPS games?
VanhA-ICON replied to gunso's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
There is one game I would gladly still play alongside arma series but it does not run on my XP anymore: Project IGI That was an intense game even with normal settings. There were no save points in the missions. -
Ahh, I had a hunch it might be related to that but was not sure... I have the steam version so it is updated I think.

Problem with the condition in addAction

This program is also very neat for error scouting: SQUINT -
Well, the first Witcher was one of the best games I've played and I'm still at first chapter in sequel. So far the only complaint is from the combat system... the blocking is somehow fubar. It seems to work very randomly... I first thought I have a faulty keyboard. I think also I have to wait for another pc until I continue further because it's a bit too much for my ancient system.

Hell, I'd move to Hong Kong just for a chance to walk the footsteps of Chow Yun Fat! I recall seeing some documentary last year about these ghost cities... what a waste of resources.

Attidude of many forum members regarding Arma 3
VanhA-ICON replied to Undeceived's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
Fantastic! Aren't sequels brilliant? They're the same film but with a different number, like two or three. Even bad films are great, 'cause at least they try. In the future, all films will be brilliant. In fact, everything will be brilliant in the future, with cars on monorails, brilliant silvery costumes, food in pills and probably some special futurey can-opener. Fantastic! And everything will be done by computers. Aren't computers brilliant? They can do anything! Except play football. They'd be no good in goal, but they do everything else, virtually. I'n't virtual reality brilliant? It's exactly like reality, only you wear a hat! I tried it with me brother's crash helmet and I fell down the stairs. Aren't hospitals brilliant? And for A2.... the only bad thing were the ladders... :) -
Greed is only good in small portions. It'll make you blind to your surroundings. ..Maybe you've watched "Wall Street" too many times? The conversation in here seems to be slipping in to a class war..

Well, at least toast one pint for me, lol. The living standards have been plummeting for a while now. I used to have approx 50€ left from previous wage when the new one came but now it's all gone to bills and food just 1 week after paycheck. Maybe I could put up a web link on some US site with "donate" paypal link and put up a story where I gave all my possessions away waiting for the rapture... Every cent counts.

I sort of understand it's necessity but still... It's the banks and corrupt governments and officials that caused this and now I must pay? The Greeks are already on the streets and it's hard to convince them to give up their ludicrous benefits and bonuses.. The Portuguese on the other hand seem more sensible and many voices from the street level think that they should handle it themselves instead of IMF to the rescue. I see dark clouds in the horizon and I assure you it ain't the bloody Grimsvotn... :j:

The days of Height-Ashbury are over I'm afraid. But it doesn't have to be so gloom about the relationship between the workers and employers. A good boss knows that his or hers most valuable asset is a happy worker. Luckily the trend is growing. And I don't have to always like what I'm assigned to but I have a principal of at least trying to do my best what ever the task might be. I don't commit myself mentally overtime like some poor souls who have mixed their free time with work and die of heart attack in their late 30's. Money is required nowadays for ensuring a solid ground for the next generations to have a better start in life than we did.

Well, a friend of mine made some sense when I was complaining to him the ever rising costs of living. "You just have to adjust your living to the current income". He was right.. sure I can't afford a new pc and such but at least I can provide my son with food and clothing and he is healthy. In the end these are the only issues that truly matter. The Bail Out tragedy can shift the balance in Europe and we could all end up living in gutters but until then it's best to enjoy the small things. "All difficult things have their origin in that which is easy, and great things in that which is small." Lao-Tzu

As do we it seems... Despite the elections and such it always seems that in the end it's only the market forces which dictate the course of EU. One could say that having tried democracy and seeing it's failure I'd rather embrace totalitarianism and dictatorship, but I'm too late... EU has already adopted them both. I hate EU... not the countries.. it's become a monster which needs to be taken down asap.

There's no way I can rob enough old ladies to fund a new pc for this... :386: Having said this I really have no issues with my 8800GTS because I've never checked the fps... If I can hit something I'm aiming at, that's good enough.

I did not realize this series is still active... I used to play earlier WW2 versions for countless hours... Great game when played with a friend. :)

We don't celebrate it... but anyways, I'm glad it's over. Besides if it wouldn't have continued with the cold war, we'd be lacking flashpoint?

The new everon looks really nice. I decided to convert my sap_everon mission pack to your island. I'm gonna throw in some new missions in it as well. Although I'm gonna keep it A2 vanilla as the original. I think people who still have only A2 deserve some missions as well. I took some sightseeing whilst converting few of the missions and I'm pleased so far. Good work Hotzenplotz. -
Has it occured to anyone that they just want all the rest of the Czech ice hockey/Arma 2 fans out of the way digging holes whilst they sit in a VIP lounge? I bet they're all boozing in Slovakia and this is just a diversion.... poor Dwarden managing the site alone with coffee and barbiturates.

The section about Israel was a dead giveaway. No-one in their right minds would really think like that.

CM Operation Flashpoint 3 announced | "Oops, they're doing it again..."
VanhA-ICON replied to Undeceived's topic in OFFTOPIC
A 360 review from a finnish site: http://www.peliplaneetta.net/arvostelut/1314/Operation-Flashpoint-Red-River/ Translation of the summary: "So called realistic shooter which is riddled with Artificial Incompetence and poor level designing. It just might offer a brief fun played with some friends" + *Open areas *Class system (with minor reservations) - *AI *Level/mission design *Fake realism And at the reviewers name he has added: "Prefers simulations by Bohemia or some honest light arcade shooters" EDIT: IGN also published a pc review: http://pc.ign.com/articles/116/1162918p1.html
