Great idea, the only real problem I find is that AI has balls of steal so they dont realy care bout .50 cal round flying round their head most of the time. I mean its probably implemented but the AI probably wants to be macho most of the time. -

Lol, if you didnt hear of fallout yet then your basicaly 10 years too late to make the first one... Fallout is a postapocaliptic RPG series. Its realy adault like and very free roaming and open ended. Check some of the vids or get Fallout 3. One of the best games in history. Anyways, you got me confused with the addition of new guns and the scavaging part witch i kinda thought it was a brand new feature. Sry

Erm if your that unexperienced its realy easy... Now if you dont want to lern, go to singleplayer then scenarios, and the first in the list should be "My Missions". Select it, then click <new mission>, and select basic. Select your side (Blufor for CDF and US, Opfor for the communits guerillas and russians and independant for rebels (NAPA)) Then you will have option "Units" where you select your unit and enemy unit. Then select first option Map where you select the island and then select the second map to place units (double click on the map to bring up a menu for the units) then drag evreything somewhere near a nice clear hill so you can observe and select Time&Date and select the time of day and go back and press preview! Party... -

That or a easy to understand list of scripts in some manual. I tried to get something out of the bohemia comunity page in wiki but i got a headache from all the technical mumbo jumbo :( -
I think its kinda stupid since a carrier is huge... You would have loads of rooms etc witch would be kinda pointless. But i agree that they should have the back open for boats and elevators working. And addon downloading while downloading the mission would be nice but some servers use a totaly different mod (sometimes these are quite big) and i dont think it helps the server that 10 people are downloading a 600 mb mod.

Well i remember in OFP on combined arms you had a recap of the training on how to move in notes. You could like have "You now have acces to artilery and UAV support" Artillery and UAV would be hotlinks to notes that would explain how to use them... -

You do know what you just said right? A 2GHz procesor, 4gigs of ram (probably you have vista witch must slow the shit out of arma 2) and a GTX260 (btw, the 200 series was significantly improved on shading but not much on texture loading)... Thats not exactly evreyones defenition of old... Tho the CPU might be bringing you down i guess witch should be good to support the GPUs texture loading. -

I doubt polygons affect that much, the AI and animations are the real killers. Make 3 or 4 squads of soldiers. Have them stand around doing nothing for a while, then have them move to a town wait there a bit (check the FPS when standing and when moving). Then have them engage some soldiers while standing still. And remember to have a control experiment with the same patch of map with nothing on it. I cant try this yet since my PC is broken and im a on a laptop for a couple of days. Would be nice to see the resoults. -
I prefer it this way since ragdolls get themselfs in wierd positions sometimes... erm actualy... most of the time

Cherni is probably black since its how we slovenians spell black, tho we type it "ÄŒrna" but its spelled "Cherna"... Otherwise, theres a video showing how a guy takes a map of Czechoslovakia and compares it to ArmA2 from a hill. Its the same exept one side of a river is the sea. Just cant find it

Controling the Squad as 2 teams - need help

Erm teams are only for quick select. I didnt realy find much use for them unless i had a lot of AT guys, or i wanted to make some complex manouvers (witch was practicaly never :D) -
Nice missions, but wasnt warcry where you led a tank platoon? Sry i played trough most of the missions on OFP elite witch is tad bit different to vanila OFP. And im certain you were a yank in battlefields :D. Thanks for the remakes. P.S any plans for Ambush, i loved that mission

What does ARMA 2 have that Operation Flashpoint 2 doesn't?

The thing is, in real life that is possible. Altho not 100% realistic ArmA2 comes about lets say 60-70% close, witch is still like miles away from any other game... OFP will be in the middleground i think, like GRAW and RS6V. Authentic i guess, like 30-50% Cod is barely 10-20% lol Thats my point of view. -
Hmn, i did a village filled by 5 russian squads, 1 T72, 1 T90 and 1 BTR and they used all their weapons on the runs. Looked spectacular, tho they will always use their missles and rockets for taking out armor first with is a bit unrealistic since people always say their primary weapon is the gau. They did strafe the place afterwards. Probably picked off infantry with the thing.

Id get something faster, it took me a preaty long time to fly around the place in a OV22 :D Get the OV22 its fast and you can land wherever you want. If you wanna have eaven more fun pack it with a platoon of marines and have each village defended by a couple of rebels ;D -

Sound effects are preaty cheap in ArmA2 :( And M134 miniguns should realy be more impressive I mean, you just cant get a better "eat lead" moment then that stream of red tracers comming from the chopper... You could make duke nukems jaw drop with that. Note: The big dust puffs are cuz this is done in the desert: fine sand thats light so it makes bigger puffs. -

Your seriusly wierd dude... "The only thing i can say to you is fak you, they got 1! Are you the 1?" I have no idea what your eaven trying to say there. And you still want loaders in tanks so the guy being the loader can do nothing for the entire mission. You want bigger draw distances when you got 10km etc. They could be improved but honestly i dont see the point.
