We are a New Zealand based Armed Assault 2 Clan which was established in June 2006, meaning we have been involved with Armed Assault for over 2 years. Our players are all very experienced and are often involved in other aspects of the game such as mod making or mission making. Unlike some clans, we are mostly a mature bunch with most of us in our late twenties to early 30's. We have an age restriction of 18 which is to ensure that the integrity of the clan is maintained. VMA's position in the ARMA community VMA has worked extensively in the past with Australian clans like AAF and AEF. This has included joint operations and mission collaborations. We have also worked outside our clan in Operation Reality. Pyro, was the det commander for 1SASR and both him and A6-Intruder were staff members in the OCRD division. Most of our members maintain active communications with other New Zealand and Australian players from the Arma 1 days. No other NZ clan has the depth of experience and high regard as the VMA! Modding We have several members replicating several ADF Vehicles. Their work is on-going due to the fact their work is of a very high standard.   8. Made this Video using this mod! Found the Grey F-14 had LOD issues at long range it turns white so I swapped to the White F-14s. But they were awesome to fly and we spent a number of hours creating the footage. Thans for all your hard work guys!! This is a re-enactment of the famous inverted barrel roll engagement in Top Gun movie 1984. Maverick preforms a inverted a barrel roll above a fictional Mig 28.   11. While in mission editor make a trigger for Radio_Alpha name it help or something and make it repeating. In activation put: [] call BIS_fnc_help Then in mission go 0 0 1 and a nice dialogue should come up showing all the functions and syntax on how to use most of them. This includes how to call compositions and put AI on patrol etc.
  12. I have found at least with my FTP software Filezilla that the ability to update ACE Server files already exist in the FTP software. I simply us Six Updater on my local machine which updates my version to the latest version. I then log onto my dedicated with my FTP software. I goto upload my @ACE & @ACEX directory's but tell it to update files that are newer than the one on the servers. It flys through the files missing out any that are not new. I switch my dedicated back on and ACE is updated.
  13. I have a windows 2003 Server and have uploaded the ACE folders via FTP but unlike every other mod I have installed this way ACE didn't work. Are there any special config file that needs to be placed anywhere? How does it get updated?

  15. Wow if this is anything like I think it is this will prove very useful in placing AI in missions. So if you place a group in the editor and then play a mission that group of AI gets "minimised" till the player gets in range and saves CPU time?
  16. I made a compilation mod below for a story driven campaign for my clan. We have done 3 missions and all have had memory leak issues. About 10 clients will be fine for about 10min then everyone's FPS drops very low and sometime lag. Then some drop to desktop and the server kinda freezes? People say there memory usage is through the roof when they look at task manager? Would any of the mods below create a sort memory leak we seem to be experiencing?   17. Thanks guys for your reply, we already had our suspicions :rolleyes: Its weird how it takes around 10 mins to happen and when we tested the missions with on a few clients it ran fine. It was when we had 10+ clients that after 10min all the crazy ness happened. I'll totally disable SLX and then see how things are.

  21. Got this all working using the sample mission in the wiki! I think the artillery templates are mixed up. I did a HE suppression fire mission and each gun fired 2 rounds. I did a Fire for effect fire mission the guns fired around 10 rounds + each. Check out this vid. rwVqeNQCyBU
  22. Here is a little movie we made with the default mission. We have 3 human players one piloting, 2 fast roping. We did 3 insertions on Utes. We are also using RKSL counter mesures. This is easierly the best fast rope addon I've seen. Thank Norrin for all your hard work on this addon. AQjG4_1U5Ko

    Project Aus

    Hey Rhodesy I've been developing our clan site into a bit of a community news site, I guess like Armaholics and the like. Anyway I'm trying to feature Arma 2 news from down under stuff the main sites wouldn't feature. So I've been posting your Project Aus stuff. We hit the no1 on top 100 Arma sites beating Operation Reality so someone must be reading it. I'll monitor this thread but PM more or anything if you want any media coverage.   25. Looking really good The Australian at War Steyr for Arma 1 were ok but they had one problem when you switched them to auto you got too much recoil and the gun was extremely inaccurate. I'm sure your config won't have that problem though.
