    Beta build 71275 is up!

    not played sp in a while. tried this beta and its amazing. smooth, looks great and plays really well and the jerky anims is fixed! :D

  4. Good points, except for the car. how do you mean, hide a car in the grass? I am guessing that it's not worth using this beta for multiplayer yet as players not using it will still be able to see you in the grass(?)

    High spec server for rent

    1 core of a processor and 1gb doesnt seem very "high spec". is this all the arma2 server requires?

    a week and half lol, it's a good thing you don't play empire total war. it's been 7 months and it's buggier than ever!

    the sight does sway, buts its still more accurate than standing still were the gun kicks and the bullets go up. more than simply animation of a kick.

    Fireing a machinegun while walking seems to be more accurate than standing still. anyone noticed this? the gun doesnt kick.
  13. noticed very odd skipping when moving the mouse in sp and sometimes in mp. turning mouse smoothing to maximum seemed to fix it

    for most of us its just that when kneeling down,the gun twists about and the dot becomes useless because it doesnt point where the bullets go. doesnt happen when standing or prone afaik. i guess if the dot was implemented correctly then all would be well but why not just stop the stupid kneeling gun movement. make it the same as standing at least.
  15. its a game. people play the way they want. when it gets boring they go play something else thats easier. game dies. easier game becomes popular.

    fragfest on CTF yes, and plays extremely well. no fragfest on other pvp gametypes. more of a scenic walk around by yourself usually. just not enough people playing. working with others to achieve an end goal is exactly what happens on a good pvp server, except its against other people and not against artificial bots. far more rewarding, less predictable, more fun. PVP IS COOP, without the bots. again, not enough people playing the far superior pvp gametype. if there were as many charlie foxtrot type servers stuffed with players as there are coop ones then people would have the chance to see why pvp is a superior game.

    ew. a bit "cheaty". some servers dont allow 3rd person. i just found out the charlie foxtrot server doesnt allow spacebar scanning either :D. shame theres not more people on it when i go on it.

  22. pvp for this game seems to have declined since i played a few weeks ago. when ofp2 comes out it will kill it dead. coop always seem so laggy, unrewarding and populated by stupid people. i dont see much of an Arma2 future tbh :/
  23. try this mission: http://myfreefilehosting.com/f/c521b71f7d_0.01MB dont walk around, just use zoom to watch the three vehicles approach and the men eixt them. when the guys exit the vehicles, only the guys on the left animate fluidly. the other guys jerk around. when they all eventually walk closer they will all animate fluidly. oddly, if you turn your view to the left and back again, all jerkyness stops. i noticed this when making missions. exiting *some* vehicles causes the chaps to jerk until either they get closer, or you look away and back again.
