    ARMA 2 basic questions

    Hmm, but you get it in two weeks which basically means that it should be already in print so you don´t necessarily get an ArmA2 that is already patched to 1.01. Even if yours is already patched to 1.01 that build is still not stable and release candidate worthy because it still includes game breaking bugs. It will probably take another 2-3 patches until playing through the campaign is a somewhat smooth ride. Whether publishers are to blame for insisting on the release date detailed in the contract or the developers since they couldn´t meet the release date for whatever reasons, in the end that scapegoat hunt is really pointless. Don´t get me wrong, i was an avid OF:P player and am supporting BI with my money votes as i can. Can´t really blame us for getting the game when it is available here. And please don´t ridicule the OP just because of the jumping and Vegas comparisons, he has valid points in general. Just because ArmA is a complex game, it doesn´t justify the crude interface (basically unimproved OF:P interface but now even more expanded) it still has. I´d rather say it needs an accessible interface because it is a complex game. I think there is really a lot of room for improvement.
  2. Hi, how did you manage to extract Lopotev? After much trouble and ordering my AI mates to seize firing i managed to capture him triggering the helicopter extraction dialogue. The heli approaches the LZ, hovers there and i get teleported right into the chopper after a while even if i´m still far away (great immersion killer). When the heli takes off it steers to the southwest edge of the map and stays there? As for the ChDKZ base, i can only make a guess. When i approached Tulga heading south towards Elektrovodarsk i noticed a Radar mast there not belonging to the usual town command bunkers. There was also more resitance than usual so i didn´t bother investigating. Then again placement of the bases can be dynamic like in the Single Player mission so it might be somewhere else in your mission (Freedomfighter?)
  3. I had to reload this mission from a user-savegame severaltimes due to CTDs iirc and i had the luck (?) that he spawned not far from my HMMVWE running away at the 3rd attempt. Of course i didn´t know that it was Bardak and thought it was just a random scared civilian but when i overtook him dialogue popped up about him surrendering. That savegame was made close after visiting the 3rd camp. BTW what about those broken lines of dialogue of the CDF intelligence guy after the dressler dialogue? Do those have any impact on the mission? Since choosing those options just ends the dialogue what is the proper way to end the dialogue?

    NAPA Cutscene Major Problem

    After the 3rd reload, the mission ended fast enough for me to get into debriefing before the mission fail screen kicked in. Cooper was still counted as dead and i got a negative score of -1300 but i could play the next mission as usual.
