  3. Zickey, well there isnt many towns in my map anyways, but ill take a look at it for sure. You can send it in PM or whatever way you like :) Bushlurker! Would you mind doing a step by step on the world editor? If I export all my veggies from visitor, I somehow trough the remap function in worldtools only get to do some kind of re-export of the exp file with the vegetion. A new exp file if you like. I dont see where I get to edit whats in it?

  6. Thanks! God damnit! Didnt know that most trees are foliferous. On the other half, now you say it I think I agree with you. I havent seen many pine trees on photos. :( That sucks, Ive spend weeks making a good looking tree setup and filling the map with the current setup. I think Ill stick with the current setup, I hope it will do. If I had to change it, it would put me back months! Its hard to find good trees in this game :(
  7. Gratz on the first post and welcome, zickey. :) Didnt know that it meant Dirty. If it means dirty I guess its a suitable name? Im not sure I understand why you think it is unsuccessful then? Or do I not understand your message fully? Well, I changed the name to Chechenskaya Respublika because it sounded more overall and "real". If theres any major issues with this it can be changed again but I dont know. Until a full release of the map, anything is possible :)
  8. SiberianRUS: Thanks, yeah I think and hope the russian players are gonna like this one. The russian Vs. American is getting old so I though it would be a good and realistic bring to the russian arma world. Andy Mcnab, Correct. The file will be called "Grazny", that was my first naming for this map. But since its not in a city and the place has no name in real life I just thought I would call it something else. But yes it is very close nearby Grozny.
  9. Just wanted to let you guys know about my first upcoming map, Favslev - Denmark. It is fictional but made to be and feel like Denmark where I live. uqXBA_xh1f0 Mainly fields, farms and woods, small shallow lakes, dirt roads and trails. A few main roads though. Mostly flat but still with heigh differences, some places more than others.   11. metalcraze If it works and is fixed in the upcoming newest real patch I will consider it, but dont count on it. I still dont like that no matter where you want to lay down, you cant see more than 2 meters in front of you. Un-natural and useless. ryguy the size of hill 776 would allmost require another map. If you read my first post you will know it is real world data sattelite which means the map is based on a real life area. :) Wiggum I made the post yesterday and youre allready asking for new screenshots? :D Ill consider making a video, yes EDIT: You can get a view of what it looks like in the editor so far. Around 62000 objects. Look here
  12. Well im sad to hear you think it looks copypasted, but no. High grass have annoyed me forever, forcing me not to see anything laying down while every single AI can see me clear as day, even if they are laying down aswell. I am all in for the good looks, but when it stops me from laying down, shooting at the enemy in a simulator I just gotta put a stop to it. Having studied alot of pictures from around chechnya, it seems that the grass in general is fairly low anyway, perhaps because of grassing sheep, horses and cows. Ill look into if I can add another clutter to make a bigger difference in grass type, but I wont make it higher than what you can look over from laying down. I'd rather have low consistent grass than no grass at all. This way, everyone can play with clutter because this grass dont take up much power as far as the 'low-end' testers have reported to me. Blaim the game, not the map maker. :-)
  13. Glad you like it. Andy, you will be suprised how big this map will feel even if its only 5x5. Besides, I would never manage to make a 10x10 again, especially not before arma3. The russian achitecture sounds interesting. Do you have any more information on these addons? Am I allowed to use and release them with my map? As far as I can see they are for Arma, not for arma 2. Im not sure if they are compatible. All I get when I try, is errors.
  14. Looking forward to this one and have been for a while. :) I can see theres plenty left for you to work on yet hehe, so its not as near as finished as I would have hoped. Heres a few errors I ran into so far (ill update this post if theres more Cannot load texture "ca\buildings2\a_generalstore_01\data\generalstore_ext_001_dtsmdi.pa" Maybe a typo as it says .pa instead of .paa i dont know Cannot open object "ca\buildings2\ind_workshop01\ind_workshop01_04.p3d" Cannot load texture "taviana\budovy\tex\\stropin01_co.paa"

    Grazny, Chechnya. Not Grozny, because it isnt. Its from somewhere close around grozny though. And its very green, as chechnya is in the summer. Not grey and cold like most grozny photography in the winter. :P Highly detailed sattelitemap and handplacing every single bush and tree is what takes up my time atm.     Customize gear. Well i dont know about that. I can select another weapon with different upgrades, yes. Well last time I checked, ak100 series basic models had flashlights and lasers. There wasnt a base ak 103 for an example. Or, there was but it came with lasers.. Ak103 - laser thing Ak105 - ^ ak107 - cobra sight I know its small details, thats why it should be such a big problem to correct it a bit. All im saying is, these lasers and flashlights are pretty RARE in the RU army. ACE guys that put it on in version whatnot, can use that information and say "Okay, maybe hes on to something since he is insisting so bad, let me research that a bit we might got it wrong". Do what you want, i was just trying to help with a little side input... Im done :)

    Yes. Ive also stated that its the majority that doesnt have it. Not that every single person in the RU army dont have it. With ace, everyone has it.. And this is spetsnaz, where one out of 20 maybe have it. (guess) Ive read somewhere that they have to buy ekstras with their own money. But screw it, was only trying to help and give some feedback on these weapons and that turned out well so I guess thats it.

    Guess I am then. Options like 'get another mod'. Proof, the only proof I have is years of research in pictures and footage. I was just trying to help, and tell you that I cant provide any other proof than what irl footage shows everywhere. Nevermind, this is the wrong audience for realism in russian weapons I guess. :)

    As bushlurker says. I think something like this: If its like: min -110 max 100 If you chop of 10, you need to take it from the max. min -120 max 90 Thats how I think its done, Ive never had to do it yet so correct me if im wrong. But yup, water is at 0m and below. It will appear automatically. Ponds (water objects) is not recommended, especially not for rivers or bigger areas. Works okay for small ponds and swamps, but the waves follows your movement and thats doesnt look so good.
  22. Hi Kimmo. Right click on heightfield tab -> export layer There you should be able to see everything needed for exporting the filetype, name, directory etc. Remember to backup and save before importing anything. Check your visitor file parameters, sizes and everything after import. If it chances after import (with XYZ at least) you might need to check the resize button when exporting as I have to do. Edit: Importing it in visitor is just as simple. Just project -> import terrain from xyz (or from picture but xyz is much much faster)
  23. They removed the 10 part, So its just 6, 12, 25 i guess. Just had a try, as old bear says it seems like they dont work right now. To bad :(
