    the guns in this game

    Knock off the sarcasm. This is a legit reason to be upset.
  2. I've never waited before. Even with every release being full of bugs, I always kept my head up. Full of bugs AND no content??? This is the only time I've felt shafted by BIS.

    No Women=Disturbing

    I'm quite disappointed with the lack of women, as is my wife, who has played arma with me for years. Add it to the list of disappointments that is arma 3.
  4. Sorry. The content is sorely lacking. Open your eyes... Or don't. I don't care. Edit: I didn't even read your post. ---------- Post added at 01:47 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:44 PM ---------- I'll certainly keep my eye on it. Who knows, I may even reverse stance and support them again if they fix this mess. Not too hopeful, though.
  5. I gladly ignore/power through engine bugs and issues every time! That's real virtuality... It's the lack of/copy-paste content that finally pushed me over the cliff this time. Really a sad effort from one of the only PC developers left... ---------- Post added at 01:18 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:17 PM ---------- He's a confirmed employee? That's disturbing.
  6. As somebody who has been around since the very beginning with ofp, always purchasing multiple copies for my home LAN... As somebody who purchased 6 copies of arma 3 in early beta to outfit my entire network+server, I have just one thing to say to BIS: Enjoy my $300, because that's the last bit of money you'll ever see from me. Everything TS touched on is correct, and yet we have people sticking up for BIS? Must be trolls, or BIS funded forum plants, because there's no way anybody is that stupid. First post in years is also my last. I hope BIS can turn this turd around for you guys, but something tells me they won't.

    Arma 3 && Multithreading!!

    I haven't really paid attention... How efficient are ArmA 2 and OA when it comes to multithreading? TONS of horsepower can now be had for very reasonable prices, and it would be great if ArmA 3 took full advantage. BI is one of the only game studios I still respect, due to them not jumping on the console bandwagon. Weather or not ArmA 3 will take full advantage of high end hardware, AT LEAST it wasn't designed for archaic console crap.

    ARMA 2 basic questions

    I don't know what "time" you're living in, but today's gaming world is quite the opposite. With companies running away from the PC platform left and right, or releasing poorly coded console ports, a company who releases pc games FIRST, and ports to console is a rarity. Also, the attention span of today's gamers seems to be getting shorter and shorter. They want to jump in, play a quick game for 5-10 min, and jump out. Games like arma2 don't cater to this very well, therefore they are in a niche market. I applaud BIS for not jumping on the bandwagon of releasing dumbed-down console games and later porting them to pc. It's all too obvious. High-end pcs pack multiple times the graphic/processing power of today's consoles, but since the sheer numbers lie in the console market, that's where most developers focus their energy. Pcs are an afterthought. It's very lazy/greedy of devs to act this way. Though, in a business sense, I can understand why they do so.:( I also own a ps2, gamecube, xbox, xbox 360, ps3, and wii. I don't use them very much anymore. That kind of gaming doesn't excite me, save for a couple like forza 2/gt5. Your mileage may vary. :)

    Thanks. I didn't feel that I came off as an elitist, either.

    Prove to me that my statement isn't true, and I'll take it back.:)
  11. Haha, nope! Check the post above yours.

    ARMA 2 basic questions

    Part of the fun is watching these BIS games evolve over the years through patches and user mods. You just can't compare a game of this scale and scope to an "on rails" shooter like CoD or R6. BIS is one of the only game companies still making open world sims like this. Most other companies have toned everything down for the mindless masses who enjoy pointless twitch games (console gamers). I can only hope that BIS continues doing exactly what they're doing, which is making sims like ofp/arma. They might be a little rough at first, but they're all masterpieces.
  13. The temptation was just too strong for me to handle. I just ordered the German version to play with while I wait for steam to unlock. It's the same thing I did with arma1, I ordered the Czech version while I waited for there to be a publisher in the states.:D 2.5 hrs left on the download! :bounce3::eek:
  14. Yeah, I have all of the fast paced games too. They just can't hold my attention for long periods of time. Infact, I don't play any of them anymore. Me and the buds have about 1000 hrs each in ofp playtime since release, and quite a bit of time on arma as well. The girlfriend is a big gamer too, and she loves sitting down with us for a few hours and going through a massive mission. I'm going to pass the ofp/arma love down to my future kids someday, hahaha!:eek::)
  15. Why wouldn't they? :( Too realistic for them?
