    who cares about 9/11 anymore? what happened was a sideshow compared to the US's foreign policy for the last century. It's a political event now, and as far as I'm concerned the only person who is still screeching about it is rudy Giuliani, the fascist bastard of new york. I'm all for a new investigation, but it's at the bottom of my list of things to do.
  4. i like this, though I urge BIS to make it as loose as possible for custom unit addons. I find the default anims colliding with the pouches & the armor all too often, even on the regular arma 2 units, let alone custom stuff.

Ebanks used A2 & OA buildings, objects, vegetation etc, as well as some OPX objects & mikero's tree pack (see dependencies in the armaholic site) Next version will have OPX phased completely out. I don't think there are any OPX objects anyway, might just be a wall here or there. It was a great building pack, but it's outdated and needs to be upgraded.

  8. Ebanks, the author of the map, is currently away for a couple more months (should be back in june / july) I have contact with him if nessasary, though it's something on your side. I may have an updated version I could upload on behalf of him, though I'm not sure it's keyed (as it is WIP). What is the timestamp and size of the kunar_region.pbo that you have? Mine is as follows 12/2/2010 4:07 PM as date created, modified is 11/21/2010, and the size is 338,657 KB
  9. effectively I took 4-5 days off, but now I'm back working on stuff. Here's a very early t-shirt (very edited arma 1 mesh, up to new standards). It's not uv'd or finished yet, but thought I'd throw it in as a preview. The other photo is of an AWS medic vest, trying to get a basic shape. I'm going to scrap this but if anyone has an AWS medic vest, let me know if you think it looks right. Edit: More stuff (4/9/12) Worked on the normals for the t-shirt, and did the reverse side of the parka.

  12. DCU, BDU,desert tiger stripe, desert night, jeans, and maybe if I can find a decent swatch, real tree :o (just kidding, though it may be present in the 2001 unit set). The joint may work its way into Lennard's pack but I doubt it lol. It's just a simple tube, i'd have to put a little more effort into it.

  14. Sorry, my eight ball says "maybe". I'd love to take you up on the offer on a more serious note, though it will be a while from now. Patience.. The testing group has put things on the right track, but we've still got a ways to go. Medic, automatic rifleman, etc have nothing done on their side, let alone the bugs I am ironing out of the current set. When time comes, I'd love to have realistic equipment loadouts.. if there's no room for the item, it's not included. For example, the unit with the AWS strike vest only gets 4 mags, & 2 pistol mags. rest could be stored in a backpack. In short, as GD Mast said: when it's ready :)
  15. looks awesome guys. I like the idea of pooling your resources into one project , it makes sense. I'm curious, were the units made from scratch? They certainly look so and can't wait to see them in their full glory.

  18. Lennard doing his thing, he made an Improved AN/PSN-13 from ArmA 1, better textures & higher detail in the mesh.
  19. I imagine the logos are separate meshes or just assigned a different material for the faces it occupies. If there is a better way I'd like to know it, I've been doing glass myself recently.

  22. I knew something was up. It's supposed to be the old cover. Stitching is too big and have fixed it since (well now I've got to remove it), though it looked comparatively small on the UVs. Toyed a bit around with the head proxy: http://postimage.org/image/baqxyvudn/ http://postimage.org/image/xb7afid1n/ All I did was bake an AO map, add a beard & a skin texture, and i think it looks better. Have to read a tutorial on skin texturing, if anyone has a good one to recommend, do so. :)
  23. Thanks Topas :) indeed, I have been thinking about improving upon the face textures, though I've never dabbled into organic textures of any sort, so it will be quite an adventure to say the least :)
