Could this be because both your copy and the server are using the same ports ? Try changing the port on the server ?

What you see there is a DEDICATED server............. the server is ALL yours, you can change the slots to suit yourself... EG. I change mine whenever I need to ..... it is possible to run a couple of servers on that system matey... plus your Teamspeak etc.. No buddy.. not at all.. I wanted to know for my own peace of mind if it was a regular thing,, I take it, it isnt.... I have just been over to your site buddy,, (advertising myself lol) and noticed that post you found on the others site,,, I guess that explains the phone calls.. :) Anyway... Score out of 10 for Alpha-networks ? over the last couple of years ? Mine would be 8 out of 10 but thats just over the short period ive been with them, would have been higher if not for the latest downtime.

So wildgoose.. I have only been with them a short time,, Has anything like this happened to you b4, seeing as you have been with them for a couple of years ? or was this a "ONE OFF" ? Im asking because on one hand you say they are very good and on the other you seem very dissapointed...... and I would like to clarify how you feel about them :) if this IS a one off then you must be one hell of a demanding :) customer, but if this type of thing is a regular occurence then you have every right to be dissapointed..... I myself have only been with them a short time and they have been VERY VERY helpful... and have zero complaints.

Yeah,.,, but to be fair Wildgoose.. if their site is down,, their hosting is down... THIS inlcudes THEIR Email DATABASE etc etc... They would have No way of contacting their customers... AND none of this was through any fault of their own.... many other companies had the same problem... As you said the second they were up... we all got emails to inform us. They are very responsive with their ticket system... if you need help with anything,,, Anderson, if you wish to check pings to their servers, Fire up arma and check our Dedi out.. filter for SBS, if you want to run a particular mission, send it to me and ill upload it.. Although we use ZERO addons on ours... (our personal choice)

Have uploaded it to the SBS server.. will give it a shot very soon....

LOl carter..... Quality advertising matey... Im with They are very competitively priced and have very good support, not that you need it... experienced with arma which YOU do need.. Shame lowpingservers is accross the water though.. you do sound like a nice bunch. :) Im very happy with alpha-networks though and I doubt very much if we would move, they gave us a great price on our Dedicated.

Have you ever tried looking............... Firstly decide what type of maps you wish to play... EG.. cTF then sort your ingame browser by gametype and Bobs your uncle..... No secret, not hard... Simples!

Lets face it the only NON PvP is Coop There are plenty of different modes and im sure more will turn up.... there is plenty of room for all of them..... ONE thing we all have in common is we like to play Arma,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Hya buddy,,, I know what you are saying about the Pvp side BUT you will find that the pvp servers that are out there ARE always online,,,,(just we cant be on them 24/7 the missus would kill me) ours and quite a few more... you are welcome to drop into ours anytime,,vote yoursefl admin (be nice) select a map from a hundred plus CTF's and Dm's start one and people will join,,, always best to start with a popular map... Napalm, Agnus dei, Banana Polana, Gorka are just a few.... you put it on and peeps will join. We use ZERO mods so its easier for you to get a game. Signature check is on , so it wont allow any mods either... If you are really interested in CTF/Dm then click on my APL Sig, join the site and put a request in the recruitment forum, teams are always looking for players....

We have CTF/DM at least 4 days a week on the SBS server Uk times though. Guaranteed to get have a game on Tues.Thurs. and Sunday. (sometimes we have a match or friendly on Sunday)

when u say yes to the copies of the game,,,, Are you both using the SAME copy...... sharing the CD ? Did you install the game on both machines from the one cd key ?

Have you opened the ports on your router,, are you both patched up to same level,, are you both using the same copy of the game, do you have any mods installed...

I play CTF EVERY night I come on buddy.... never play anything else, except DM

SBS server is CTF/Dm 95% of the time,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, although its up all week, the busiest days are Sunday, Tues and Thurs,, U welcome to join it buddy.... Most of the peeps that play on it are the same as you,,,, Old skool OFP players....

Honestly bud... it only has to be in your mission folder,,, doesnt have to be run.... ..... verify sigs was on with mine also... why not try moving all recent missions out of folder just as an experiment.. and tbh. you seem to be running out of any other options...
