This is what I used as base for the camo http://www.frontofrussia.com/army/197a_2.jpg It's supposed to be "soviet m1988 camo" but I have no idea if it is it or not. It just looks like the cdf camo.
I am not trying to make this addon that huge. The only US, gear these have is the belt and those things going over the shoulder. (A+ in english) And maybe the canteen & the buttpack. That is because they are modernizing their troops. And starting with the smaller gear, which they can afford.
I might change some ammo pouches. We'll see.
And about those CDF SF/MVD units.... We'll see about that too... I am mainly focusing on the conscripts.
So what camo would the "marines" use? What would you like to see? I would prefere a camo that deos exist.
EDIT: LoL, I have messed up big time. For once I made a fantasticly well organized .psd file... and guess what. I deleted it by mistake...

Take your time so the addon is as finished and polished as it can be. Polished? <- is it spelled that way? nevermind, didn't bother to check google.
But I am also with Pauliesss :) The sooner we get out hands on these the better :)

to bad b/c I love his weapons. maybe you can make a RH confuging with his weapons likeAK47 with GP25 ect and one with BIS weapons. but your soldiers your decision.:)

As a side note, the addon will most likely be ArmA 2 and ArmA2:CO only. Atleast the first release

The marpat is only worn by the naval infantry. And I have not decided yet will they wear marpat or not.
And no, RH ak pack will not be required for this addon

They look good - but I dunno about having steel helmets. Person preference, but I'd rather see a LWMH without a cover.I will make NCO's/teamleaders And they will most likely have those LWMH helmets

After the Chernarus conflict the Chernarussian government decided that the country needs to start conscripting young men to the defence forces. The ministery of defence agreed that in order to restore and maintain peace the defence needed a larger force. All men above 18 years of age will serve atleas 18 months in the defence forces. The most popular branch to serve in is the army, which also is the main force. There is also an option to join the newly formed Naval Infantry, also known as the marines, which is a part of the navy. The issued gear is a bit outdated but that is because of economical reasons.

The marpat is still on the naval units. I kind of like them, so they will wear them for a while, if there is alot of protest against it, then I will probably change it.

They have almost the same equipment as the regulars, but these have no vests, and they have another type of helmet. And the AKM.

In one of the screens they have a kind of neat rimlight effect going on. It's visually interesting but probably not realistic. This might have something to do with your fresnel settings.I believe it is the super shaders fault. I really have no idea what to do when it comes to making the .rvmat file

MCU Infantry units addon is dead, since my HDD died along with all the files.
Progress is slow, but will do my best to get the addon done in time.

Cool, thanks. Just do whatever you can - the ones I'm most concerned about are the Shadow Company guys because it seems a lot of people are looking for them.I'll see what I can do. No promises.
And about the MW2 copyright thingy:
-No model or texture is ripped from the game, they are based on real life gear with a bit of inspiration from MW2
-Units are not found under TF141
-This my "Ghost" is not Ghost, he looks like him.
-Shadow Company guys will not be "shadow company" They will be soldiers with similar gear.
So this addon has nothing to do with MW2, it just happens to contain some units similar to the ones found in MW2.
If there is any copyright problem with this addon please PM me.
I do not want it to be like the Saving private ryan mod thing for bf2, where mr. Spielbergs company sued the mod team for making a map based on the film.

Yes they will, I have 3 projects going on. All will be released before the end of this year, since I won't be able to work on any addons for a year after that.
NOTE that I will do my best to complete these units, but I have alot of school related work that needs to be done so if I do not get them 100% finished, I will release a fully working beta, no error messages, only some features are not included. Like some camo versions of the units etc etc...

@Fox Ideas:
Where's the medic? :D Almost full gear for max protection, now we don't want our medic to get hurt now do we. A light weapon, like a stripped m4, no heatshields... maybe heatshields, but no extra bling bling. So he carries only the weight he needs so that he can perform quick actions in the battlefield. Get it? :P
