    I tought of that. But they are trying to become more "westernized". And in my head, they sort of bought the current gear cheap from the Marines, since they had some left on the Khe thingy wingy.

    And the blood is probably bright because of some .rvmats might be set up inproperly. Which is pretty easy to fix ;)


  2. removeallweapons this; is only needed IF the unit already has a weapon in its hands. If you just want to change a units weapon you can use this removeweapon "xxx" to remove the weapon and then you put a ; as sweguy96 has in his example and then : this addweapon "newweapon". This if they use the same ammunition. There is also a code: this removemagazine which removes the mag. You can combine all of these to add the weapon you want for the unit.

    Yes I know that too. But it's still pretty much the same gear. ATM, his Ghost wears the OA Delta vest. And no offense to him or anyone but I do not like that vest.

    Let's not make a fuzz out of this, he is doing his and I am doing my stuff.

    Remodel?

    Damn, no wonder it's taking so long. No rush then.

    Well, not really remodeling. Reshaping the model. removing the original vest and stuff. Might have to send a new permission request before release.

    I think I have been a bit of a fool. I have created a bit too much work for me. Making countles models without finishing them up with every detail. Like wounds and stuff. The future for this addon is a bit uncertain. I will soon release the CDF Conscripts along with some other stuff. Lifting some weight of my shoulders. I have made a scedule for this addon. When and how I will work on it. There is a slight chance that you will get a beta version of this before the 20th of november.


  4. Yes I know. But he is using the arma2:OA models. Or they look very similar. I do not really like the US SF that came with the game. So I have remodeled a new rig, and the body. The mask is still a problem tough.

    And no progress so far, tests are dropping down on me and very complicated homework has to be done. All my addons are on halt atm.


  5. I think the soldiers in arma are perfect. It is very hard to make variations in height and "largeness". I believe that one unit would need to have atleast 3-5 different models for variation. Example: You place 10 AR-Riflemen on the field. They all should look different. The game should now randomly pick a model for each unit. The game would be many gigabyte larger if this was done.

    I guess the arma soldier is the avarage male soldier. Not michael jordan or gimli.


  6. I'll give baking it out now a try. I have looked at quite a lot of sculpted beards in zbrush to gauge some techniques and I am beginning to think less details and more subtle layering gives a better look so I may trash it once again and start fresh.

    As for texturing it, I will probably just use polypaint in zbrush and bake out the materials.

    EDIT: Here's how it looks in max with the low poly and normals. Might just leave it as is and work on texturing it since it doesn't look half bad

    Messing around a bit with polypaint. Time to sleep.

    It looks awsome. I wish I had a beard like that :)


  7. @Wolfrug: Greetings fellow countryman. And yes, I decided to give the CDF the marpat camo, since I figured they adapted it from the USMC. They decided to use a similar marpat pattern, a bit different in color. But still marpat. The uniform is sewed in a different way tough.

    @Betsalel: Yes well, when you make real life stuff, the pressure of making everything as authentic/real as possible is very frustrating. You try too hard and you are never happy with the result... :) That's why I decided to get some off time and a creativity boost making these units.
