    Yes, that has crossed my mind. But then again I am pretty determined to do everything myself. I asked him to convert his units to arma 2 and i asked ardvarkdb to do the same thing (multicam sf) but Jhonny tought his units were not ArmA II quality, wich I do not think is the case cuz they look fantastic. But it is his units, his decission.

    I will probably ask for some models of Jhonny, and if I have time and will I could ask him if he would be so kind to send me his unbinarized models so I could convert them over to ArmA II.

    P.S. I am taking a short break from doing my units. I have got a lot of things to think about right now.

    But I promise a release! I am not leaving this project at all. See the release in a couple of weeks, Before Xmas atleast :D

    Excellent work with the Rangers. Though just wondering do you have any plans to add knee pads to any of the units in the future?

    -Yes, soldiers with kneepads will be added before the beta release.

    I noticed that you have a guy with an M8 Compact, any chance you'll be doing the actual carbine as well? I think the compact is... Small and the way BIS has it gripped doesn't look right to me.

    - The M8 will most likely be removed. But if I use the M8 the carbine will more likely be equipped by these units.

    Very cool! Are you going to be releasing them as another blufor side? (like the F-16 mod) Or just as a new "[ranger]Rifleman" kind of deal in with the marines?

    They are under BLUEFOR/75th Ranger Regiment/2nd Rangers. And holster colour will be changed!

    I am pleased to inform you that I have made progress with the units and they are soon ready for a Beta release! As said before they are not top quality but I think they are pretty good

    BETA will NOT includes

    - All Classes

    - No wounds

    BETA will include:

    - Many Different soldiers & loadouts

    - FUN

    - Probably a Few bugs

    - 5 EXTRA UNITS ( WOOHOO)

    (THE EQUIPMENT IS VERY THE SAME ON THE UNITS, THIS WILL BE CHANGED)

    As you can see i have TRIED!!! note TRIED! To make a Ciras vest. If I may say it myself I am pleased with the result.

    More and more problems pop up now that i changed the vest. Alot has to be remade in order to stay on the body and not bounce around flawlessly. There are still a few things to change on the helmet. And a few minor texture things on the gear.

    Now once again I would like you to look at the images and say what i could change and make better or even remove or add :)

Once again thank you all for the help! :D The IR is just a placeholder atm as said before, and will be remodelled and textured. the vests will be modified a bit so that they look more like CIRAS vests. The chinstraps are untouched but i will start working on that today, and I will remake the vest. That is todays schedule.

    More WIP images soon :)

    And forgot to say that the NVG mount will be bigger :D


  6. Here is some WIP images of the mich helmet without helmet cover. Note that the ACR is not completed, and the texture is just a placeholder atm. And i saw a image how the IR should be attached, but i do not remember anymore. Can you please tell me how it is fastened to the helmet? Or is it ok as it is.   7. Thanks for all the tips and info about rangers! This addon is not about 100% realistic rangers. I like the Future Force Warrior program wich includes the Crye Precision things. But not over exadurate armor clothing etc but keeping it on a bit present day level.

    I have decided to:

    +Change the backpack

    +Remove some of the helmet covers and <TRY> to make some helmets without the cover.

    +Body armor will be mixed in Tan desert/dark greengray and multicamo, textures will also be improved (hopefully)

    +Scarfs will be added to some soldiers.

    +NVG Mount will be changed at some point.

    This will take some time. But hopefully after 3 weeks I still have the spark to continue on these! :)

    HQ images as promised. Well not so HQ but better anyway!

    What type of backpacks do the Rangers use? I already have a not that great model of a Eagle MOLLE Modular Assault backpack or whatever it is called

    and I have a question about my multicam texture. Here is the currentussoldieracuco.jpgAs you can see it is more darker, colour are more visible

    But in my oppinnion it looked to woodland(ish) so i made another version of it, ussoldieracucocopycopy.jpg NOTE THAT THE QUALITY IS NOT THAT BAD FOR REAL! IN ORDER TO GET THE PICTURES UNDER 100KB I HAD TO REDUCE THE QUALITY.

    I have noticed that the lighter camo fits very well in desert enviroments :P

    So wich one is better? Any more suggestions?


  9. Hello again, I need some help with my helmets. Question: Are they OK? Do they look even a little like the MICH? Or should I completely remake the helmet?

    Or is this helmet better? Ignore the camo etc just look at the shape of it! If this is better what should I improve on it?

    Tan(ed) the camo abit, added patches and other stuff on the uniform.

    Changed the textures on some models.

    Added Multicam vest.

    Hope you like the pictures, Sorry for the bad quality :( I know that the thing that the soldiers have on their shoulders (where you attach your flag patch etc) Does not look like that and the angle is wrong, I will most likely fix it sooner or later.
