Hi TacKLed, Are you sure you're running Arma2 + Operation Arrowhead as a combined game? From that error error it sounds as if you're only running Arrowhead..

Sound Of Anders (soundmod)
CoolFire replied to -=anders=-'s topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Hi -=anders=-, Thank you very much for sharing this great soundmod with the community, the time and effort you put into it is much appreciated. One suggestion: Add this info to the SOA_ACE download mirror in your first post? It's an easy way to keep up with the your updates if a person is using the SIX Updater already. :) -
ACE 1.8 (Advanced Combat Enviroment) for OA/CO
CoolFire replied to sickboy's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
I've found out how to use the satchels after the new ACE update: Place the satchel(s) using the Self interaction menu (the text "satchel # X" appears in the upper right corner of the screen for each satchel you put down), move one step back so that you look at the satchel, hit the key for your Interaction menu and you'll see a menu: - Disarm satchel - Set timer - Safety off Select "Safety off", move away and scroll your mouse wheel, then you'll see the option to select "Safety off" for each satchel you've placed, select the satchel(s) you intent to activate and hit e.g. "Detonate satchel 1". :) -
Thanks for sharing this awesome sound mod with us, LordJarhead, the time and effort you put into your work is much appreciated. IMHO it's the best one ever made for ArmA, I've been using this since you released the first version. Keep up the good work. :)

ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead, version 1.55 - Patch released.
CoolFire replied to Dwarden's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
I second that. Played a game yesterday and in the heat of the fight I got ready to take out the enemies just as few buildings suddenly appeared between them and me leaving me staring at a wall of a house..And I'm pretty sure I heard the AI's laughing at me from behind the buildings at that point. Hopefully there's going to be a fix for this very soon. It sure doesn't contribute to the realistic look of the game - and the step towards realism that ArmA normally provides is one of the reasons that I like this game so much. -
All you need is Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead Update 1.50-1.54 To 1.55 This patch will also update your ARMA 2 to 1.08 and ARMA 2 BAF to 1.01 if necessary. Happy gaming. :)

Solution to run Combined Ops through Yoma for Steam users?
CoolFire posted a topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
Hi all, I have bought ArmA2 and Operation Arrowhead off Steam. BIS have kindly been trying to fix the issue with combining the 2 games into Combined Operations with batch files but for a player like me who likes to use mods and addons it can be a bit of hazzle to edit and create different batch files to fit my need for different mod strings. In my gaming group we were used to run our custom modsets for ArmA2 through Yoma Addon Sync (thank you for this very nice tool, Yoma ;) ) and some of us were sad not being able to run Combined Operations with mods/addons as we were used to. However, I think I've found a solution. This setup works for any server you wish to join through Yoma. First make sure that you're running the latest version of Yoma Addon Sync and that it is pointing to your ArmA2OA.exe in the OA exe field under settings. Now, in Yoma go to the Launch Game tab and select Advanced on the tab to right under the Server Info window. Put this into the Custom arguments field: "-mod=C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2;Expansion;ca" Adjust directories to point to where your ArmA2 and Operation Arrowhead folders are located. Remember to put a " at the beginning and at the end of the string. See screenshot of where to put in this custom mod string in Yoma if necessary. How to run Combined Ops. with a beta build through Yoma: First, point to your OA beta.exe in the "OA exe" field on the settings page in Yoma Addon Sync: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta\arma2oa.exe Adjust directory to point to where your Operation Arrowhead beta.exe is located Edit the Custom Arguments field to read this: "-mod=C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2;ca;Expansion;Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion" (without an extra space in the last mentioned "Expansion" word!) Adjust directory to point to where your ArmA2 folder is located Remember to put a " at the beginning and at the end of the string. For both setups, Combined Ops and Combined Ops+Beta build, you can tick "No splash", "World=empty" etc. on the basic launch options tab and create mod sets using the "Add modset" button as you see fit. When downloading addons they should all be placed into your Operation Arrowhead folder. Voila! Now you can create and load any modsets on the Launch Game tab as normal in Combined Ops mode through Yoma Addon Sync. Feel free to leave any feedback.. :bigglasses: -

I wasn't able to see the servers in the lobby earlier today either and I have a non-Steam version of Combined Ops. However the problem seems to be fixed now. ;)

ARMA 2: CO (how to combine ARMA 2 into ARMA 2:OA and use together)
CoolFire replied to Dwarden's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
I used to have both ArmA2 and OA from Steam and I remember to see 2 x ArmA2 in my mod string when I joined a server, too - but it didn't cause any problems to me at all when playing. FYI I loaded the games combined through Yoma Addon Sync. Now I have broken up with Steam in terms of ArmA2 and OA and bought a non-Steam version..Yay! :) Du får kose deg med spillet ;) -
ARMA 2: CO (how to combine ARMA 2 into ARMA 2:OA and use together)
CoolFire replied to Dwarden's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
SG_Smokintodd, have you read the first post by Dwarden in this thread? Now, I haven't tried to run public servers but I used to run A2:OA combined ops through Steam successfully from an icon on my desktop. If you open the runA2CO.zip (which should already be in your Steam OA folder) you can see this at bottom: :runs "%_STEAMPATH%\steam.exe" -applaunch 33930 "-mod=%_ARMA2PATH%;EXPANSION;ca" Either try to launch the game using this .cmd file or adding "-mod=%_ARMA2PATH%;EXPANSION;ca" to your target command line for the launch game icon you have. Maybe this will work? -

AFAIK the "CA" stuff is addons belonging to ArmA2. Are you guys sure that you are running ArmA2 and OA combined? -
ARMA 2: CO (how to combine ARMA 2 into ARMA 2:OA and use together)
CoolFire replied to Dwarden's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Install ArmA2 first and then Operation Arrowhead. Make sure that the .exe for ArmA2 and OA are put into the same folder. When you download the v1.54 patch, make sure you get the one for Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead boxed DVD version only. Find it here. (This patch will also update your original Arma 2 1.05 to 1.07 if necessary.) Happy gaming. :) -
Oh, I see. Haven't noticed as I've only been playing around with the vehicles in v1.54 and haven't tried out the weapons yet. :)
-
Yes..Don't run the beta build?

@ jonneymendoza Is it working for you now with the update? If not, check out this post.

ACE 1.5 Beta (Advanced Combat Environment)

Bring up the Gear menu and click "In hands" or "On back" to toggle between the primary weapon and the wirecutter. That should do the trick :) -

Nope, all my A.C.E. keys are set to their default keys. Did you remember to edit the ace_clientside_config.hpp file in the userconfig folder before loading the game? ////////--E D I T below THIS LINE--//////////*/ class Identity { name = "your player nick"; }; By me the self-interaction key is set to the application key (key to the right of the right Windows key). Check the ace_keys.hpp in the userconfig folder for your ACE keys settings. -

Try this very small test mission with a guy carrying nothing but a wirecutter. The mission is made on Utes using Combined Ops. and A.C.E. v.1.5.0.388. Download ACE wirecutter test mission -

CoolFire replied to xeno's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Hi CaptainBravo, First, make sure that you have put your main weapon "On back" so you stand with the wire cutter in your hands. Then stand/crouch close to the fence and hit the Self_Interaction_Menu key and choose "Cut wire". If you are in a position to cut the wire, a bar will appear in the upper left corner of the screen showing you the cutting progress. If you get the msg "No fence!" try to move around a bit still facing the fence and hit "Cut wire" again in the Self_Interaction_Menu. -
No, I used the "free user" account as I'm not registered with Rapidshare. :) You can also try http://www.filedropper.com/ for uploading your file but I also don't think that it's Rapidshare causing us an error...

Hi fouba74, I tried to DL the file twice, but both times I get this error trying to extract the .pbo file: Any ideas on what is causing this?

Solution to run Combined Ops through Yoma for Steam users?
CoolFire replied to CoolFire's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
I did know about the extra spaces in my post. They appear after pressing "submit post" but when I actually made it or try editing it, the spaces don't show in the preview. Sorry for any inconvenience but there's nothing I can do about it, I guess :) EDIT: Added "(leave the extra space out!)" to the last mentioned custom argument string - hope that will help to avoid any confusion. Glad to hear that you also found this solution with Yoma addon sync. useful, Turkeys. Happy gaming.
