Love that BMP-2M Vilas it it looking great:yay: One of my favourite 2 BMP's The other being the BMP-3M Happy new year to everyone too as this is my 1st post for 2011

Good pick up Abs Still working on it and mud layer too so it's not 100% the final look :), the paint peel and rust on those lines. The opacity will be lowered a little when i have finished the layer. Easy to work with when opacity is high (@ 100% now) Also i want more paint peel on the verticles than the Russian version but not much A little more wear and if u look at brdm its covered in mud more on the horizontal lines

Thanks guyz, i think this one came out very good again (sorry for low quality screen) There is extra rust on this compared to Russian version. I'll put a bigger screen up when i clear some space and add the final finishing touch up to it @Mankyle OPFOR air better watch out too because the CDF don't like them either ;) @Enad Hehe i had to prove to myself i didn't fluke the Russian one

CDF retexture of Vilas SA-8 Gecko coming soon wear, rust, scratches, decals, dirt, mud and paint leak effects coming soon too I also will be changing the radar (brown) on Russian version to dark green or dark brown I think the green definetly suites the CDF version

It's quality, i am sure of that now and i suprised myself, always had the eye of what i wanted it to look like but needed to learn photoshop better. I still can learn alot more i think ;) It looks better ingame than screens too :) it's under polish faction for now LOL because i have no idea of scripting (something i don't have talent for) Also forgot to tell you that i can only paint one launcher (3 tubes) the other side duplicates I can get away with camo on launchers to certain point but if that can be fixed on ur next file too it would be great If not I can always have fresh browny/green launchers that went up after camo or just have the same variable camo duplicated on both sides great model talent plus great texture = great addon

Thanks for all the kind comments guys, as this is my first ever projectand 1st ever retexturing of anything in ARMA2 or anything game related u guys just made my day and i'll continue making more. Looking back 2 weeks or so ago in this thread i lol at my 1st attempts even thou i put WIP pics up but i guess i was wanting negative comments because i like to learn from my mistakes. Russian Army 2010??? Should be 2013 + Guys remember this conflict will be set after takistan so the year would probably be around 2013 onwards. Russia will have more Ka-52's, Su-34, Mi-28N's All su-27,su-25's and mig-29 and will be SM/SMT standard All Su-24M's must be SU-24M2 standard Mi-24 will almost be replaced by mi-28's but any mi-24's remaining be of PN standards BMP-2 (no way) it's gotta be minimum BMP-2E or M standard A Sukhoi T-50/PAK FA as the USMC got an F-35 in ARMA2 AK-107 can stay but please have soldiers also equipped with AK-74M, RPK-74M, AK-105

Just had some nice editor air to air combat againts av-8b, a-10 and f-35 I got damaged but managed to down them all with 2 mig-21's, i had to eject with first plane after i got hit by the f-35 (ran out of flares lol). I did manage to down the av-8b and got the a-10 with the cannon (ran out of missles) with that 1st plane. luckily for me i was shot down close to base and was able to hop into a new MiG-21. Took me 5 missles but i did it and then damaged the plane on landing haha Fun battle:bounce3: Any plans to get this mig-21 into CDF, Takistan and Insurgent air forces? It is a bit over manouvable, especially when on ground but apart from that it's fun Top work

Russian Expansion 1st because they would be easier to update and then finally release a PLA expansion. With a few DLC goodies in between.

The BLUFOR players have had it to easy for too long, why anyone would want more USA or outdated enemy is beyond me. Plenty of Insurgent style enemies to take on already Step up to the plate and show how good a virtual soldier you are and use some serious tactics and take on a real ARMY like proper equipped modern Russian (independant) or PLA (OPFOR). USA vs PLA or Russia PLA vs USA or Russia Russia vs USA or PLA ;) And watch the ARMA 2 multiplayer and singleplayer community grow bigger. Lots of Russians and PLA likers everywhere Not much people like playing MP on the disadvantaged side, it gets boring and shrinks the community I have done my time playing BLUFOR I would be 1st to buy a Russian expansion with a campaign or PLA expansion with campaign Id'e rather buy both

This is looking like it's going to be one cool mod We have Stargate, Star Wars and now Star trek So much sci-fi :)

Some french stuff would be nice for the New Takistani Army Alot of french equipment is used in middle east

Thanks guys, i think i have done a good job at this, especially with the colour tweaked now:) If there's anything on the gecko texture i can fix, make look better let me know and i'll give it a try.

@Suhsjake Project Red Bear isn't happening, it's been dead for a long time. I just kept the signature since i designed it with help from the wifey and it looked cool lol Anyway i added some WIP shots with a near final Russian Version, this is pretty close to a final but i won't release until Vilas finishes the model and until i have done CDF, Ins and Takistan reskins and desert and maybe a parade green version Larger Image Larger Image Larger Image Larger Image
