  1. Bug Report: When accepting "steal stuff from ennemy depot" in armory / Chernarus and Utes, as the challenge begins, right after loading is finished, it says "failed/item destroyed" and the mission is over. Thx
  2. Hot Stuff, downloading now ! First post yaay !

Hey folks, Nice weapon you have here ! It's good to have some silenced sniper. Just one thing I found a bit strange: the optic. It feels like some "fisherprice" toy. Maybe you wanna try out one of these which correspond to the real one. The scope: http://www.nightforceoptics.com/SCOPES_OVERVIEW/5_5-22x50___5_5-22x56/5_5-22x50___5_5-22x56.html Different reticles: http://www.nightforceoptics.com/RETICLES_OVERVIEW/reticles_overview.html The NP-R1 seems to be the right choice and looks really nice to me: http://www.nightforceoptics.com/RETICLES_OVERVIEW/RETICLES_DETAIL/NP-R1-22x.pdf Or maybe this MIL-DOT here: http://www.nightforceoptics.com/RETICLES_OVERVIEW/RETICLES_DETAIL/Mil-Dot-15x_copy.pdf By the way how do I make .p3d files ? What softwares/tools do you use to output such files, couldn't find anything interesting on the net.. Thanks in advance.
  4. Defrag is your best friend, as long as there are no builds about performance I don't think we need to give feedback about it.. anyway it's different on each build and each machine and so on.. Regards.
  5. As build numbers increase, isn't there one change per build ? What does the build number stand for if build xxxxx ain't different from build xxxxx+1 ?
  6. Use "JKDefrag" available in 32 as well as 64bit version. Runs fairly fast and has one big point over: it's very customisable. I use to do some "-a 7" from time to time to keep it performant. Anyway plenty of ways to run it.
  7. those with texture loading issue try to defrag first, see if it helps. 'Cuz you seem to get this pb with every new patch install..
  8. Well I just played a little 1h+ mission ans the mousesmoothing at 30 feels right, but still I prefer it at 0, more precise and less "floating". Well more responsive I'd say. Personal taste maybe too. Anyway it's good to have it adaptable for everyone :)
  9. Yeah it's a little thing to fix, no big deal but I keep saying it contributes to the authentic feeling. One bullet is still one bullet, that can make a difference ;)
  10. America's army v2 and v3 does some hl2 mods do it too I believe, I'd say most of the games do ^^, Anyway it's nothing really hard to code I assume and it's part of the little details that make up for a real authentic feeling IMO.
  11. Is it normal that when you got a loaded weapon (30 bullet mag) you shoot some shots and then you reload and you got 30 bullets again ? Actually if you don't shoot your whole first mag there is supposed to be a bullet in the chamber + 30 bullet from the new mag which makes for 31 shots and not 30. Or maybe it just says 30 but it's 31, then it should say 31. Can anyone enlighten me on this one ?
  12. These are not really tweaks just some kind of logic not having a mouse speed multiplied by 0.293752695 in windows and then by 2.937587435 in a game and then mouse acceleration and smoothing over it. Keep it tidy with 1x1x1xnofancypostprocessing and it can only be better. Call is as you wish I call it logical settings.
  13. Hey Alex72, Hey mouse laggers, To all of you I wanna give some kind of explanations about what I know about mouse settings. I'm no boss I know that and maybe you all know these things but if it can help anyone then well, I'll be glad. 1st thing is to have windows mouse sensitivity set to 1. Means one mouse pixel move = one screen pixel move. To do so: Control Panel/Mouse/Pointer Options -> "Select the speed of the pointer" (sorry I'm translating it from FR version of Win7 x64 by the way). Now you got eleven little clicks to chose from. Make sure your select the sixth one from the left and obviously from the right too, it's the one in the middle and it corresponds to a sensitivity of one. Now that the windows side of mouse detection is done let's move to the game part. Open your "xxx.arma2profile" file and scroll down to "mouseSensitivityX=x.xx; mouseSensitivityY=x.xx;" if you don't have these entries add them at the very bottom of your file, don't forget the ";" on the line above if you add it. These settings abviously control mouse sensitivity as seen from the game. I turn this to something like 1 or 1/2 (0.5) or 1/4 (0.25) because to me it seems that I get more mouse lag with a setting like 0.2927436572562935923. I can't explain why but I feel more mouse response time with this kind of setting. Maybe a division by 1, 2 or 4 is much quicker processed ? Nevermind it feels better. Okay this beeing said there is one thing you should keep in mind. With an ingame sensitivity of 1/4 and a windows sensitivity of 1, your mouse has to move 4 pixels to any direction to get a move of 1 pixel in the game. If game was set to 1, then it would be 1 mouse pixel = 1 game pixel move. The for optimal precision setting is: set the game sensibility as low as possible and your mouse setting (DPI on the mouse if you can change it) as high as possible. Never touch windows mouse sensitivity. Some more tweaks. You can overclock your usb port as well as your ps/2 port to get better response times from the mouse and keyboard. You can aswell turn of the mouse smoothing or any "enhance pointer precision" option in: Control Panel/Mouse/Pointer Options and in your mouse drivers. And last but not least any mouse acceleration setting must be disabled too. I'm thinking of the logitech driver for example. Disable all those fancy acceleration options which just try to create some things your mouse doesn't do, it's like smoothing. Smoothing turns some zigzaggy line into a straight line but you don't want this as you want to have 100% control over your moves. Okay those were my 2 cents. Hope it helped, let me know if it did. And thanks BIS for these beta patches, gonna install these sometime soon.
