A full realease should include a full dokumentation especially hostet dedicated server. Yes, i know the "Tutorial: How to run a dedicated server" thread, but its not actual now.

  6. All these things must be done automatically by game not by me. I've played a lot of games and i've never heared that i have to tweak my system or commandline options to make a game playable.

  8. Hi all, i am thinking about to combine all small addons/mod (vehicles, weapons, building, ...) to one big mod. This will give the mission creator the abillity to use more objects without to download all small addons. For example if you will create a mission with some custom vehicle you have to download all single vehicle when its not in a combined mod. This big library will updated by time intervall to insert new content or bugfixing. Armaholic have many custom models, do i need the permission from all creators to insert it to my library? I will make a list where all creators are listet and linked to armahilic page. This could be a huge mod! What do you think?
  9. Hi, it seems like that you don't understand what i want to do. Example: I want to make a Mission with some Ships in it (USS Nimitz, Dostroyer, Sub Marines) and some custom Planes. To play my mission the player has to download all addons to play my mission. He has to download the Uss Nimitz and install it. He has to download the Destroyer and install it. He has to download the Sub Marines and install it. He has to download every plane and install it. And he has to check the correct versions for every addon. This could be result in an install orgy and at the end no one will play my mission because of too much work to install. To prevent that it would be nice to have a library addon/mod where all these stuff is included in one big library. The player only has to download one mod to get all custom suff for many missions! Thats the idea.
  10. Hi, i do not understand what (for you) the difference between a compilation and a mod is (in view of my case)? :confused: For me it's (in my case) the same. In this mod/compilation i have to make sure that no addon effects another or the game itself. It should extend the objects not overwrite something! I want to add new vehicles, ships, planes, helicopter, furniture, buildings, ... not change extisting content.

    ArmA3 Object Library

    Hi, is this project still alive? I had the idea combine all small addons (vehicles, weapons, ...) to one big mod, to make it as standard for all players and mission creators. It seems that you have the same idea.

    USS Nimitz

    Hi, i've tested the nimitz in arma 3 with AllInArma and CBA. I've loaded the utes mission in editor and preview it. The cariier is looking really nice. I walk to the landing boats and hang a boat onto the hook, get in and want to get the boat into the water. But it doesn't work. I saw on a video that i have to get into the boat and use the middle mouse wheel to select the option to get the boat to the water, but the option is missing. Do i something wrong?
  13. Arma Object Library It would be nice to have a library where all community made vehicles, buildings, an other object where combined to one mod. It should be extened step by step. Creators of content can send there stuff to the mod builders tehy will implement it to the mod. All players (using this mod) will have the same content and don't have to download a mod for e.g. a mission with one extra custom vehicle in it. What do you think about it?
  14. "Arma is a Sandbox" .... ok. great, then give a lot of stuff. For my opinion BI should insert all stuff they can get. More Stuff give us the possibility to create different fantastic mission: Dogfights, sea battles, invasions,..... It would great to have a great community library where all possible stuff can put in and all player will have the same content, so no one has to download and start a mod with one vehicle to play a special mission.

    Hi, for my opinion BI should import all content form ARMAII/OA to ARMA III and everything would be fine (or support "All in Arma" mod). My be it would be great to merge all small item/vehicle/... addons to one big mod

  19. Hi all, i want to create a coop mission where the player starts on an aircraft carrier. Now, ARMA 3 do not have a carrier available in default content so i have to add one. Is it possible to add a custom vehicle to the mpmission.pbo file so no one have to install a mod to play my mission? Or is there a way that the custom vehicle will automatically downloaded from server (like the mission.pbo) if somene play my mpmission? I'm afraid that no one will play it if you have to download a mod first. Thx for help!

  21. Hi, one question: Do a Arma server hostet on Linux with wine have more performance than hostet on windows 2008 ? My Arma Server is running on a Windows 2008/Vmware Image hostet on Vmware ESX and i'm thinking about to install a Ubuntu Server. Thx

  25. Hi all, I have a problem with my server (win 2008). I have a arma 2 and arma 3 dedicated server installed. Only one server is running on same time not both together! But i have the same problem on both server. When i will connect to one over browser list of arma then i will get the messagen "cannot connect to server". If i will connect over remote ip it works perfectly. But i want to make my server public. I've following system config: 1) a direct fibre connection 34mbit to internet with fix ip address 2) a pfsense firewall 3) server ist standing in a dmz 4) server has a private ip address 5) all necessary ports will routed to server I've played a little bit with the -ip parameter but than the server will not start. As i say before, connection through "remote ip" will work perfect. Is it possible that gamespy will use the private ip of the server instead of the public? Thx for helping me!
