  1. Fix the netcode and crashing bugs for the love of GOD and bother about everything else later, it's unplayable at the moment even warps in COOP... talk about downgrade from Arma 1. Call me a whiner, but everything that has anything to do with online in the game is worthless at the moment unless you don't care much for people skipping 3 meters ahead randomly , that goes for all the AIs also if your not the host, who did QA for this game anyway?

Dear god, it's time for Bohemia to build a new engine i mean this is the 3rd release really and it contains so many bugs that it's just unacceptable.. great potential but yes i actually regret buying it. Don't get me wrong now i am a hardcore simulation fan and i can handle a few bugs here and there no game is perfect but that doesn't mean i can live with crashes , glitches , flickering , netcode issues, script issues , campaign lockups.. was this game tested before release.. i mean you find bugs everywhere the troubleshooting forums is filled. My faith in BIS has run out , sorry im done with you're products.
  3. It's a freaking joke the whole warping / net code, i mean did BIS ever try the game outside the office with some latency ? Can't believe this haven't been solved after all these years, even COOP warps which it at least didnt in Arma 1.

    Game runs flawless on ATI 4890 and 4870 at highest setting so it's a Nvidia 295 bug.

Besides nothing claims it's impossible to code good solutions for Arma 2 either , i mean so you're using the 3000 view distance as an excuse for warping and lag issues to be justified? (or being a better way to do it?) The thing you're mentioning with people not being there and then cheat accused I've never heard or encounter before and I've played in mature/serious clans in BF / COD series since they came out in 2002-03. There's been occasions were you might have fired a round in you're screen but infact at the server you never shot it because it hap pent in a millisecond at a collision say were you die at the same time of that shot. Doesn't really harm anyone anyway? I tell you cheats doesn't depend on that, it's more of a game design when people barely show their 3rd person head around the corner but in the first person view they're leaning out totally clear to shoot. Could be fixed pretty easily tbh , several mods have done it. Sure several details run client sided.. it works.. better than Arma and no you're not at a different place, the codes ain't a joke like Armas current netcode. I mean mp is unplayable , coop works fine with some buds on a private server but that's just about it... Btw remember bf1942 , great view distance by the time 2001/2002 around OFP release , no issues there.. blame the ballistics or lack of detail it's just absurd. I tell Arma to skip it then if they can't do it since their current mp is useless and i'd trade ballistics for less lag anytime. Why bother defending it? I'd trust ID , IW , EPIC or any company besides BIS when it comes to code a netcode and solid mp. Heck even Americas Army is doing a great job , it's got even more realistic ballistics than Arma. (yeye not same open world..........!)

    As i said im from Sweden , usually if there's quality servers just about anyone in Europe can play with anyone else in europe with a ping of 30-80 depending on server quality , not distance. If you try join servers from different continents then the distance becomes a problem , but here it's just obviously the game... really sad.
  9. Fine, Been playing Arma 2 now for a while and the game is really good, the potential is endless when it comes to Mp and Coop , especially for clan games and fun real-life like battles. To unfortunate that it lags like hell, spikes everywhere I've not even seen one player run smooth... (It just kills my immersion totally and it looks so unnatural) Now I am not sure if people are running dedicated servers or not , if not then that would explain things otherwise there's no excuse just because the game is so big and open-world ed(find a god damn way to make it run smooth at least within 0-120 in ping differences) I mean some games have built their code and system very nice that even if your above 100+ the character doesn't start warping around for the players with fine ping , instead the player with the high pig gets delays/lag only for himself. So have i missed something or is the MP code really that bad? I mean sure playing with 3 buds runs fine but every random mp game you join theres lag everywhere even if ping is around 40-50. Most servers are located in Germany, and i am from Sweden so the ping isn't high on any servers really.

    Worst reason to release a game ever.. Got the german version , ain't complaining but this whole release mess is just so unprofessional by both devs and publishers atm..
  12. I know this is so the wrong place to go against this but are you serious? Arma 2 looks great, it's a huge improvement and it's really there with some of the top games in terms of graphics but Arma's strength is the simulation and the unique gameplay. Crysis might have a more colorfull and cartoony look vs arma series but crysis still has the edge when it comes to a living and dynamic enviroment, besides it's destruction just rapes Arma in all ways possible. Still isn't any game out there that really beats Crysis graphics, however i think it wasn't much of a game tho.. more of a techdemo. Sure the addition of animals in arma 2 is nice but they've -180 in IQ basically they're just there they have no realistic behavior what so ever when it comes to running away from firefights or wicked humans.

    Ai just got smarter

    Okey so after implementing the patch something like a miracle occurred? I took down a village with 4 AI friends and they behaved awesome during the whole process, covering angles , leaning around corners etc etc, i can't say the same for the enemy AI but the friendly one has defiantly improved. After being run over by friendly tanks and stuff last night this is defiantly a step in the right direction. I tried the same scenario last night b4 the patch and it was a disaster, now we can only hope it was the patch itself and not just random luck. Anyone else noticed a significant difference?
  14. So when you're actually throwing the grenade it can cause damage enough to make a whole building / part of building to collapse. Thats the object(grenade) itself causing it not the actual explosion that is produced by the grenade. Another one related to grenades seems to be the animation , you can double tap to throw a grenade , the soldiers makes the animation but no grenade is thrown. Not sure if it was only while running this happen.
