untinstalling doesnt necessarily remove all associated files and folders though.. did you give it a shot anyways? another option would be to open the .cfg file in notepad and manually enter a different resolution...

what OS are you using?

you can reset ARMA to its default settings by goig into documents/Arma and delete the .cfg file. when you start the game it will have all graphic settings reset... see if that has any effect...

did you try changing the resolution in arma or generally changing the graphic settings?

it depends under what copyright the music is. any tracks you could find under the creative commons license should be ok for use as long as the artist is credited. more info: http://creativecommons.org/ not sure if its your cup of tea but you are welcome to use any of my own tracks. you can find them under www.soundclick.com/mcspeedfreak

did you turn error reporting off in your system settings? if so turn it back on... dont send the error but it should give you an option of storing the error log... not saying it WILL- but it might give some indication what is causing the problem...

that could be something as simple as the frequency.. if this setting isnt identical to your normal desktop it could well be that your monitor deals differently with it... adjusting it on your monitor and storing this should fix it for good... usually monitors will remember the setting and auto adjust it in the future...

you cn shoot through wooden fences for example... yes... if you have the time to fire 4000 or so bullets at a tank it will be destroyed... not realistic , fair enough, but unlikely to affect gameplay as the tank is more likely to blow you to kingdom come after about 10 rounds :)

omg.... fact 1: you can never make EVERYBODY happy. presume the option would be OFF by default other people might complain. fact 2: BIS is a company trying to appeal to a broad audience... fact 3: anybody can decide whether to have it on or off... so why dont you get some common sense and grow in character, meaning, accepty it the way it is , rather than forcing your opinion on the rest of the community and demanding them to change?... no offence meant.

in multiplayer it depends on the server settings... it an be enabled or disabled... this can not be bypassed clientside. the option has always been there... simply set it to veteran or go into your profile settings... you can customise the settings to an extend rarely seen in any game...

some players like it or find it helpful... for those that dont... theres always the option to turn this and 3rd person off :)

try using Game Booster . this little tool will with the click of one button suspend or kill all windows background processes (incl. Aero ) and re-enable them with the same ease.

are you using skype? the latest version has an issue with the new interface. this causes fullscreen apps, like games, to minimise - constantly. should you be using the latest skype version try shutting it down or simple go into the options and select classic windows under visual style. just a thought.. if you dont have skype... well good luck.

go into the windows audio settings - recording devices and set your USB headset as the default recording device. that should work. vista: - right click on the Speaker icon next to your clock and select recording devices. - right click on the usb microphone device and select "set as default device" i cant really remember how it works in xp but i think: - control panel/sounds and audio devices - find the recording or input device. you should find the usb mic there.

with the above files loaded as a seperate "mod" i get some wierd pink vertical line in the sky and when i try to load an ARMA2 map the game crashes...
