    Patch 1.03 Satisfaction Survey

    Since 1.03, it takes (at least for me) 3 SMAW-HEDP. And by then, the crew has already gotten out and are all fine. Things doesn't blow up, AIs takes 5-15 seconds to fall over after being shot. AIs blown away get's stuck in the air (like 100 meters up) It doesn't happen always, but a lot.

    I was pretty happy when I found the command. And pretty annoyed when I found out it didn't work. And that it was misspelled.

    Faster moves for a better simulation

    I agree with OP. ARMA 2 suffer from the same failure OFP and ArmA suffered from. Animations needs to complete before you can do anything else. If you're about to crouch, and then you're getting fired at, you have to wait until he's done crouching, before you can stand up and run. It takes a very long time to change direction too. (Strafing left, then right) Etc.
  4. That is the reason. I'm currently rewriting most of MADD to allow support for things such as listboxes. That's why there haven't been any updates since v0.0.0.8. I don't know when I can have a new version out, since I've got an awful amount of work to do on another (very important) project I'm doing. I'll keep you posted.

    I've got it around 60%. Having it 100% seems to slow down your ability to turn around fast.

    Reporting your position

    We need a way to do this. And also to report "Engaging", etc. In ArmA 2, that is.
  9. I love the voice system in OFP, ArmA and ArmA 2. One thing I do hate is that in every game there's been unexisting voices. OFP, the "Stay Crouched" was missing completely... It also missed in ArmA, but was later added in a patch. Now with ArmA 2, 50% of the sounds are missing. Some soldiers doesn't know how to say north-west, north-east, etc. so they just say "We are not far from Novy Sobor", while the chat says "We are not far north-west of Novy Sobor". They can't say "are we", so when asking for directions they just say "Where...". Also, the SecOp Manager voices, are missing a lot of sentences. I don't want all the robotic voices to be pre-recorded, though. I like the dynamicly created voices. Also, it would take an awful amount of sound files to create all possible sentences.

  11. So. I was playing with a small mission I made in the editor, and talked to the other soldiers as usual. But this time, when I tried to say something, I hit a lot of stuff, like pressing on the mousewheel, while walking, and it was luck that I even hit the Greetings button. Though, he didn't do what I expected. Instead of saying Hi, my character said: [iM]http://www.arma.treesoft.dk/images/arma2_talkwtf.png[/img]>100kb Can you say more than what is present in the menu!??? Or is it a bug? Edit: Oh. He says it every time. It happened after I put setCaptive true. So, he's just informing whoever captured him, that he won't talk :O AWESOME!!!

    White soldiers actually can jump.

    They could possibly make a roll-over. But jump? No way you're getting over any fence with 30-60 kilos on your back. The problem with BIS, is that they don't want to use 3rd party libraries (Havok, etc.), so other than DirectX, etc. they make everything themselves (Which I think is pretty cool, though I miss real physics).

    Why didn't I think of that? -.- I've seen a few videos of ArmA 2, with hand held cameras. Used ages to figure out the scripting function to do it. Didn't think about just doing it in After Effects, rofl. Thanks.
  16. Start the game using command line argument -window Right click the shortcut to ArmA 2, and click Properties. In the destination field, type -window after the path. The field should then look something like this.
  17. Ah. I did think the architecture of the executable was a bit unusual.
  18. Oh. I found the issue. They've made a mistake in the ini.. They've written InstallPath instead of Main. And they've missed the renderer. Replace 5856_2 with this

  21. ARMA 2 is still not supported on Xfire.. Well.. The steam version is, but the retail isn't -.-
  22. A small update: There won't be any new patches for some time, as I'm rewriting most of the tool, to work better, etc.
