Im offline so i can only do SP n im using big squads so i dont wanna fly i wanna use dedicated AI pilots. Whats the best way to get these pilots to land so i get alight my squad? E.g i wanna b on one side of a town n i want the chopper to land with some of my squad on the otherside of the town. Or alternatively can u order AI aircraft to a certain altitude for parachutes?

So even if 2nd team starts from unit 6 shift + F2 will select the lil bugger? Is that how it works now? Because i've been having problems selecting my groups lately :( **UPDATE** Wiicckkkeedd so much better that way now im getting better at commanding! Cheers :)

Im using a stick n im flying digitally not analogue because when ur in a chopper in Warfare and go to rearm over a bunker mid flight the menu cuts ur engines. Anyway i like to fly with no engines on during a hig altitude approach for extra stealth but if i pull the thrust paddle alway the back it engages the "brakes". Is there a sweet spot on the paddle mid way or is there another way to set my paddle up so it doesn't initiliaze the breaks when the engine is off? If i try turn the engine off wit say the paddle around 50% it automatically turns the engines back on. Cheers fellas :)

Yeah go stock, its best to start off stock then start with sound mods when u get into it. In fact i only use sound mods, pretty cool game with how u dont need many addons to enhance it with BIS does it with patches!

I reckon they're just bringing the russians into OA!

Hi guys this isn't a mission making thread more of a general one about backpacks. One of my best mates is a copper n im making him a mission to stuff about in as a cherno police officer but i can't pick up the ALICE pack! If i restart as a brit officer i can pick it up?? Is this a bug with backpacks? That only certain units can pick em up, cause i tried to order my brit engy but he didnt have the option either to pick it up :/ Is the ALICE bag the biggest bag to carry equipment in btw?

Hope this gets fixed i wanna play it so bad :(

Surprised by the lack of posts from non-aussie BIS posters.

I think i finished with 1 mag left, i reconed majority of the map and eliminated the mortar team to use it on the light armour. I killed 100% of the enemy on the map i think, my fav ArmA mission of all time :) finished PMC today great campaign. Mission took me 1 hr 20 mins. The mission quality has risen greatly since OA appeared on the scene. Makes u want to beg for more DLC campaigns.

Respect was a big thing for the aussies during WW1 and WW2 (except for the japanese at the time which is a whole new story). Try find the book "Tobruk" its about the siege of Tobruk where 9000 Aussie soldiers halted the German blitzkrieg in WW2. Just normal infantry against German might and tanks! I'll pm you some notable quotes...

Game looks insanely arcadey and linear! Almost like a rip off of GRAW!

just reinstalled ArmA 1 Gold Edition and patched using the 1.08 to 1.14 patch so far atm and the game just goes to a black frozen screen :( i've tried running as admin and running the compability as XP but still getting the black frozen screen on start up. Anyone else get this and find a fix?

I live in Melbourne Australia (where The Pacific was filmed, the sequel to band of brothers), the USS Shoup has been in town for past week or so and yesterday they had their open day. You had to line up and go through airport type security screening and coukd only take photo's when told so (no pics in Combat room). I took picson my iphone n my GF also took pics on her iphone which i'll try add later. The ship had a MH60R on the back with a .50 on the door which i got pics off.
