cool base of MP game. we managed to finished it flawless (1 loss) -
i simply fix my sound problem in lowering output volume IN ARMA MENU . all at 25%. i have no more cracking , noising . it's right, it's works.

at start, the loading of the scene is faster than 9.7 . tree , house texture , and ground appears "instantly" -

a single tree @ maxlod has proabably more polycount than 2 or 3 house @max lod. make count. i prefer basic tree , with geometry complexity at its maximum. i dislike see wall spawns as i'm approaching... -

where are proof than battleeye stop hack and cheating ? i has never been sure of that. -
assault rifle @ 800meter ? are you kidding ? it's suppressing fire at that distance. std riffle ~ 300 meter . subsonic bullet @ 500 meter? no , you wrong. i bet you need 10 bullet to kill a guy because loss of bullet cinetic .

hey guy , the pb i have underlined is that OF:DR will not be any more than a play 'n drop game. seeing what tester said about editor, you are forced to admit the added value of game community will not be here with ofp2. arma editor was , is, and will stay , and very high level program. very instinctive and easy to use. lua script in other hand need a scripter, even for move a trucj convoy ??? you bet... i even don't speak about poor polycount of vehicle, but i laughed when i saw the blackhawk. damn these poor console ... anyway , thing are that . admit it . after 1 week of play (if you are not an hardcore gamer) , game will be vanished, and you will come back to arma2 ;)

isn't there any problem with ZSU23 ? i place a shilka in editor , my client crash. it's something to do with compact fix. neither VNV nor NVG addons activated.

BASICALLY, compaign , and all heavy scripted sp mission are the worst case. graphics and logic running on 1 computer. i bet play MP campaign on dedicated server will be smoother to play than SP ... secondly, the view distance is the most critical parameter (with your config) of course all this game rely on CPU power. you have a core2quad , the best thing to do is overclock. 2.4->3.4 will change your gameplay experience. your graphics card is well enough up to 1900x1200. and for end, DON'T PLACE PAGEFILE ON SAME HDD THAN YOUR GAME ! choose c: , or a third physical disc ps: 32 fps is not so bad. the important thing , is to not drop under 25 , IMO -

i have vista . and i heard the same shitty sound fade out and becoming choatique noise from hell. not win7 related. it BI code related. 1.02 never did that on my computer. -

i though this problem was only related to parameter video ram = "default" ? i personnaly don't have this problem with 9.6 and 9.7 (4GB ,1GB vidram,vista64 SP2), but i always play with video ram = "very high" i heard it's 2 different settings. the default value probably try to use PCI texturing (using sys RAM for store texture) , and maybe then ATI fail to get a proper feature. am i wrong ? ---------- Post added at 08:27 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:24 AM ---------- lol DX11 libs aren't even loaded when you play arma2. arma2 is DX9 period. maybe it has something to do with default settings of ati drivers .? something like catalyst AI ? just a guess ... ---------- Post added at 08:30 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:27 AM ---------- it looks like not enough vid ram avaiable for display all that stuff... recurrent problem still arma 1. my hint ? texture detail to normal, or low, with video ram to normal. and antialiasing to low too , because normal (aka4X) still eat a bunch of megabyte more. and it seem you lack some. don't forget to disable catalyst AI , as personnaly think it can slower down a bit, the loading of texture on mesh. ---------- Post added at 09:01 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:30 AM ---------- About this texture artefact, i reproduce the bug with catalyst AI to advanced. it came after 2 min , flying osprey around coast with view distance 6000 (texture very high). i just finished my 2nd pass , this time catalyst AI disabled. i don't see any glitch. people who suffer of this , please, try without catalyst AI as this feature is a texture analyser , my logic sens make me think it might be the cause of these artefact. i understand people with crossfire will suffer of that, but better than nothing , isnt it ? ---------- Post added at 09:04 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:01 AM ---------- your test was quit complet, but one time again , you didn't think about test without AMD texture analyser . do it agian please , it can shorter the fix -
