Superdudy, give multiplayer a try, I used to play it on dial up, even hosted for one other player. It worked OK for me so at least give it a try and see if it does for you. Scott

Funny because I did just the opposite yesteday. Hid behind a ridge covered in grass after a tank spotted me. Switched to 3rd person and and moved my view so I could watch the tank. Crawled to the right and the turrent didn't move, just put sparodic fire at my original location. After about 30 meters I stood up in plain view and it took the tank a few seconds before it registered that I was there, swiveled the turrent and shot me. Not in Arma but in Iron Front so call it unmodded 1.6. If you have something that you think is wrong you need to be able to reproduce it in a mission and then post the mission and a report on the issue tracker. Unless you can show there is an issue, and make it available for others, the devs have and no way to test / verify.

Likewise, I just thought that it was the run up to E3. -
I noticed that in the SDV the left hand screen is showing the underwater view while the right hand one is showing the periscope view. This might not be new but it's the first time that I have noticed it.

Mostly I just play small things that I knock together in the editor or a bit of insurgency with friends. I did notice that you had a few campaigns in your signature and thought I might grab some of them for a go. -

Steve, have you actually given Dayz a try? It's not really for the fast action shooting crowd. Even before Dayz was out there were quite a lot of Zombie missions around on these forums which, at that time, were by definition filled with people who play military simulators. -

You could try ozgameshop they are actually based in the UK but specialise in selling to Aus. I didn't notice anything on the site that said they don't sell to other countries and they have US$ as a pricing option. I ordered 5 copies of Iron Front from them, order went in on a Friday and they were at my door in Australia on the following Thursday. To top it off they are around 1/2 the price of buying locally. Bit off topic in this thread but Came across this the other day that indicates this is not the case. Explosions underwater are more effective than ones in the air. Most of the presure is reflected back from the surface rather than dissappating. That page also contains some details on working out the leathal range for underwater explosions if any mod makers are interested.

True but it's a good start and very few people in the games I play will give up their M4 for an AK. The times when I've had to do it I make a point of letting the others know.

Weapon silhouettes are also a good indicator, provided that OPFOR have different weapons to your side, I find that they stand out at long ranges.

Do you mean you want to see all the Dayz servers or hide all the Dayz servers? If you only want to show them then you can put Dayz in the the mission name of the filter window that is available via the filter button on the server select screen screen. -

Stand back a few meters from the wall, go into sighted view. And then see if the shots are still out. I have a feeling it's a parallax issue because you are in third person. -

RunForrest, I haven't read all the other thread so appologies if this was already covered but is Grafikspeicher "Video Memory" and Sehr hoch "Very High" ? If so, and you haven't already covered this, set it back to default and then set the other options back up to Very High. From what I remember they alter as you play with the Video Memory, but you can eventually get it to settle that way. I got a new machine to play Arma OA with a few months ago and after a while noticed that my graphics looked crap compared to what other people seemed to be getting. Setting Video Memory back to default from very high solved the problem once I got the other entries to stay on Very High. Hope that helps. Scott
