    Mod Folder improvements

    I have recently started using a temp solution, inspired by how CAA1 handles things. It keeps your ArmA 2 folder organized, but unfortunately if your using CO the lines are so long that you can only have 2 or 3 mods total enabled or the shortcut gets too long. An example of my version is... "C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\C\Countries\United States\Addons" We really do need an improved system.
  3. @1in1class I am talking about the current F-15 model, the one Eble(Southy) released. It was created for OFP, is showing it's age, and needs replaced. I love the F-15 in real life, I was simply talking about the old model. The current F-14, F-15, and F-4 models are really showing their age, and really need replacements, although they are better than nothing.
  4. Sorry Proto, but the F-15 shows it's age, retextures and bit swapping can't help it anymore. It's come a long way from OFP, it has earned the right to retire, once a suitable successor comes along (There is an F-15 in the works. Can't remember who is doing it, Jester, Jestar, something along those lines.)
  5. The Russian Bear has been flexing it's muscles over the past few years. Their leadership wants to prove to it's citizens that they still have claws, and arms long enough to reach their targets.
  6. Just so you know, Fortran never gave anybody permission, neither did he release the source files.
  7. @1in1class The USEC group spent money to research alot of their addons, and others are stuff from FlightSim that they only use in their group. I really doubt they will allow the source files to be released. We really don't need two F-117s, not unless USEC releases theirs with all of their functions, if they do.
  8. There is a F-117 already released for ArmA 2, it works pretty damn well, looks fantastic, and has some nice features. It needs some bug fixing, but there is no need for the USEC bird, not until Rocket/USEC has time to bring it over with all of their features.
  9. Well the F-4 is an Alpha release, I know Eble (Southy) has been very busy with RL, so it's possible he will let you continue his work. The F-111 will be released with ANZAC last I heard, with a very slim possibility of a U.S. version. I apologize for my rudeness, I've been under alot of stress recently, with no chance of it letting up for another 1-3 months.
  10. Uhh... How often do you read these forums? The F-4 is even on ArmAholic... The F-4 has already been converted by Southy. The F-111 is being done by NZDFCrash The Mig-21 (PRACS) is currently being worked on, in fact it's been worked on quite alot in the past week. and as far as I know PRACS uses Southy's Mig-21. Also, please do not ask wld to to help, he is going through chemo for pancreatic cancer.

    Combine half-spent magazines into one full

    I don't think you quite understand the process... You can't walk while your using both hands to dump rounds out of half empty mags, load them into other mags, and then put the mags back into your pouches. OT: Like others have said, I would like to see this as long as it takes an appropriate amount of time, such as 30 seconds per pair of mags you combine. If it comes down to realism versus gameplay, screw gameplay. If I want super fast reloads/auto combining magazines or the like I would play Battlefield, or CoD. I play ArmA II because of the realism aspect, the simulation aspect, not the fast paced gameplay. :p This game is all about taking a ride to a LZ/DZ/Drop off point, humping it for 10 minutes, and then getting into a firefight with an enemy that outnumbers you 2-1 or more, struggling to reload fast enough while bullets snap by, watching your air support get blown out of the sky, and then spending the next 2 hours trying to get the hell out of the hostile area with the remnants of your unit. You have to have patience to play it. Add the feature, but make it take time.

    I would like to see 2 versions, a Pre-War and a Mid/After-War version like it is now. If that's not possible, keep it how it looks now, a war torn city.

    Secondary Monitor as Map

    I think if a secondary monitor is allowed to show the map it should be a separate map, just a high res picture that can be scrolled, markers placed, and maybe waypoints. There should be no way for it to have Real-Time information regarding friendly/enemy units. It would be nice to have the feature, simply for navigational purposes. It should also have a feature similar to ACE2, where you others can copy your map, and you can draw on it.

    I can do it. I'm afraid it won't include any ACE weapons, I've taken an oath to never do that sort of thing. Not to mention I don't use ACE anymore, so I wouldn't have the classnames.

    Try a satchel charge. Those landmines are Anti-Tank, so they will punch through a farily thin skinned MRAP.

    Holy crap, longest post i have ever read! BUT it is the best idea I have heard yet. Brick Stone, i believe you may be on to something there.

  23. I don't think that's correct... You would need to add damage models wouldn't you? That's WAAAY more than a config change, not sure who told you it was that easy...

    Mig-15 Converted to ArmA 2

    No... Do not port Franze's Su-17. He is working on an ArmA II version himself, complete with all the fantastic bits, breaking off wings, damages, scripts, and everything else where it will work. It may take time, but you guys should just be patient and wait for him to do it.
