That's just it. The person wouldn't be paying for the content, they would be paying for the cost of 1 CD/DVD, an envelope, and the stamps needed to get it to the person. @Bushlurker - the local library here has a "nazi"* internizzle policy. You have to have an ID Card/Drivers license and be 18+ just to visit Facebook/email sites (no problem there) and they don't allow you to plug an external into their computers. :( * I love Godwin's Law. :D -
I know a friend of mine who spent some time in the Army (atleast 1 tour to the middle east) applied to both DynCorp and KBR. I haven't talked to him for quite some time, but if I ever run into him again I'll ask him how he likes whichever one he ended up with.

The idea would be for somebody to set up a paypal account so people could send him however much $ is needed to pay for the price of 1 CD/DVD + envelope (normally free) + stamps. This person would load the CD full of addons and send it to the person, who would most likely be in a situation where they don't have a fast internet connection, or any internet connection (Like me. :)) (This could also apply to people who are deployed and have arma on a laptop/whatever.) -

I do believe your wrong in this instance http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T28_Super_Heavy_Tank Also: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T29_Heavy_Tank http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T30_Heavy_Tank The soviets were not the only people using the "T-" designation. -
Generally, having some sort of military background and being able to speak English helps. If you have those, just put in an application at one of the big ones. (I'm serious)

Arma 2 Addon request thread
Darkhorse 1-6 replied to Placebo's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Well, so far we have the.... Nimitz class (Carrier) Wasp class (LHD) Los Angeles class (Submarine) Sea Fighter (Littoral combat ship) and we have 2 static ships, a destroyer and a frigate, which IIRC are... Oliver Hazard Perry class (Frigate) Arleigh Burke class (Destroyer) There might be a mod that makes the 2 static ships drivable, gives them working guns, and working CIWS mounts, I'll have to check. I might have a destroyer model laying around my external, but I believe it's a british one. -

Darkhorse 1-6 replied to max power's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
It's a Shacktac script. I've seen similar things, like being able to walk around in a C-130 that's flying, by Shacktac or Shacktac members. As some of these things are a year old or older, I'll go out on a limb and say they are private scripts used by their group only. Hell, I know a RolePlay server/group that uses my LCU with a script that lets them attach vehicles. I let them know who I was, and asked if it would be possible for me to get the script so I could release an updated version of the LCU, with it built in, and I was told to "fuck off". -

They used bungee cords to strap the windshield to the frame. Fucking genius! :D -

:D That looks like they took the rack/mount off of an aircraft, flipped it upside down, and attached it to some welded pieces of metal that they stuck on an AAA frame. :D Genius!! :D -
Damnit, you beat me to it. Your choice of picture was way better than mine though. :D This is the first time (honestly) I've ever said this, but... tl;dr

Well, several things. 1 - Your in Thailand? (Also, $23 for CO? Damn lol) 2 - Insulting people who are only trying to help you will not get you far here 3 - Seeing as there are alot of people who are in the same situation we are in (I know atleast 1 person in my group), I might end up starting something with this idea (CDs full of addons), but bigger. CDs are pretty damn cheap these days, and (I admit I have been falling behind) i try to keep an updated copy of every addon on armaholic/arma.info on an external harddrive. It wouldn't be hard to open a paypal, buy some CDs, some envelopes, and start sending em out. Of course I need to find a job first, but that hopefully won't take too long. -
Well Beagle, the west doesn't need to go after Gaddafi, or execute him, or exile him, or anything. We need to ensure his troops aren't massacring civilians, (which also partly includes the "rebels", as they are simply civilians who are trying to defend themselves, and who are tired of being oppressed) and that's it. We don't need to provide them with close air support, or anything like that. We ensure they don't massacre the ragtag bunch of armed civilians, the civilians/rebels can try and attack them if they want, but at their own risk. If Gaddafi isn't forced out (and honestly he doesn't have to be) then what I think will end up happening is a state within a state, sort of like what we set up for the Kurds in northern Iraq. Gaddafi gets to keep his oil wealth, bla bla bla, as long as he lets the people who want to live without being under his tyranny, do exactly that. *almost forgot* - When me and Celery agree on something, that's a day to remember. :D
-
Well, considering Gaddafi is a brutal, ruthless, psychotic dictator, (who apparently has a fetish for "big boned" women :D), he needs to go. It doesn't matter if other countries help the people of Libya get rid of him or not, what matters is LIBYA wants Gaddafi gone. Not all of it, as there will always be two sides, but most average people seem to want Gaddafi gone.
-
Actually, the rebels are not "enemies of Libya". A country is defined by it's people. There would be no "America" with "Americans". There would be no "France" without "French", etc. etc. The rebels ARE Libya, and Gaddafi is the enemy of Libya. The rebels are every day civilians. They are shopkeepers, farmers, doctors, lawyers, teachers, and teenagers. They began protesting peacefully, but when Gaddafi responded to their peaceful protests with violence, they responded in kind. If you adopt a kind, gentle, caring dog, and you do nothing but abuse it, it will turn on you. (I'm not saying that the Libyan people are kind/gentle/caring, and I'm not saying they are not, this is just a metaphor. :))

Went right over his head, me thinks.
